Guys!!! Urgent news!!! You *NEED* to spread the word!!! At the beginning of the match, or before it starts (if you have time), demand a buddy system. Have everyone stick together with 1 other person, and make sure everyone knows the pairs. When one player in a pair dies, the other is the most likely culprit. This makes it a LOT harder for the imposter, but for those of us who like a challenge, or like legendary players like 5up and blitz, it makes things interesting. Now go! Spread my message! I dream of a day when buddy system will become a well-known protocol. I dream of a day where among us is changed forever!
Literally slayed as imposter when I first got the game because I watched so many videos of people playing. I went in knowing the map, tasks I could fake safely, calm, and easy to trust. They still haven't learned to not trust me ever
This game truly is deep without meaning to. The strategy of the crewmates revolves around how the impostor is doing and the strategy of the impostor revolves around how the crewmates are doing.

I'm always so shaky and anxious as the impostor during every game, that if I see anyone playing as an impostor, I still feel the same. Just such a nerve-racking role.

You forgot that if you’re in final four, you can blame someone else and tell them that you’d let them vote you if they weren’t the imposter. Once they eject the innocent you blamed, they’ll see that they messed up and immediately hover over the emergency button. They’ll be dying to press it before your kill cool down is finished. To avoid the meeting and getting voted out, you just simply sabotage reactors just before the emergency button cool down occurs, and you get to watch them scramble helplessly before killing any one of the two crew members and winning the game. You don’t even have to make the kill sneaky because it’s the last kill of the game. The reason this works is because the added time of waiting to press the emergency button, going to fix the reactors, AND having to come back is enough time for your cool down to wear off. It is IMPORTANT that you sabotage reactors and ONLY reactors is because it requires two people to fix them. You don’t want somebody to go fix electrical and have the other innocent press the button right after the lights are fixed. There’s no guarantee that your cool down will have finished. That’s my little tip for securing a win when the last pair of innocents know you’re the imposter.
I also forgot to mention that you WILL be able to close doors right after reactors are fixed, so take advantage of that if the crewmembers happen to be quick with the repair.
i once did something like this as the only impostor left out of 3 :P i sabotaged the oxygen (in skeld map) and then locked them out of the cafeteria. by the time the doors opened my cooldown was over and i killed one of them and won the game B)
I won one game like that it was so damn satisfying, one ran to reactors the other stayed helplessly looking at me near the meeting table as we both waited out my cooldown :D

Imposters are probably immune to lava(since they win when reactor explosion happens), no oxygen(victory if o2 wasn't fixed in time) and fall damage(doubted since there is no disaster in the game that result in free fall). Only thing crewmates achieve by voting them out is literally kicking them off the ship/hq and using lava as some sort of dungeon from where you can't get out.
Sometimes you can make the excuse that you just "saw the report button come up" and you hit it, but make sure you say that you dont know what color the body was (if there is more than one dead) and you don't know the exact position of the body.
I once had a FANTASTIC game with randoms as Impostor. At the start of the game, I (cyan) noticed pink doing meteors. I stuck around and watched them do it, and I kept it in mind. I sabotaged comms, then kill-stacked while everyone fumbled trying to fix it, then I stood around as if I was helping too, until the body was spotted. During discussion I vouched for Pink, and for the rest of the game I had Pink wrapped around my finger. I faked tasks with Pink tagging along, I followed Pink as they did tasks, sabotaging lights to break off and perform kills at every opportunity. Every discussion, I vouched for Pink and Pink would vouch for me - after all, I was with Pink every round, right? It came down to four of us, and White was hard sussing me - but he had already destroyed his credibility by sussing Pink, who did meteors, and sussing Red, who was now dead. We moved as one unit to navigations as Brown tried to finish his last tasks, when I sabotaged the reactor on the complete opposite side of the ship. Of course, I didn't break off to do it - I didn't want the impostor to kill whoever was left behind, of course. So I waited for everyone to move to reactor where I stood at the bottom and pretended to use the scanner, while Brown and Pink took too reactor. When White came, I killed him, just to rub it in his face. Then I won as the ship exploded. The next game, the ghosts of people I've killed (and Pink) told me I was a fantastic actor and no one but White expected it. Lessons you can learn: vouch for someone and offer to buddy up, and never kill them. Kill during sabotages only if you can help it. Keep people who sus you for no reason alive till the end, because killing them actually makes you sus.

this is my best impostor round imo (im yellow, my impostor friend was dark blue): i start the game off with "doing" wires at admin, along with 4 others, me and 2 others branch off and walk towards storage, right when we entered i cut lights, i walk back and kill the one person still at wires (black), then immediately went to comms, i pretended to do the task with the switch there (the one you need to be in electrical for first) and then went to download, Dark Green asked me about this, asking which tasks i did, and i told them "the switch, i went from electrical to comms and flicked the switch) and said i went to do download right after that, and he completely believed that later on, i was with Dark Blue in Navigations where there was nobody, but i did see camera lights flicker, so i thought i would have someone to vouch for me there, i cut lights and immediately run towards it, along with Dark Blue, then the first person comes in (white) and i kill them, then the second person comes in (Red) and Dark Blue kills him before he could call the body and Dark Blue and I run towards the vent in the back and vent to Medbay, the body is then called. Dark Green immediately states that he completely believes me so that i had no sus on me, and i told i was at Nav in the beginning along with Dark Blue and stayed with him for a long while and that could have killed me, and said there were cams to prove that for me. apparently the person on cams was either Red or White, cuz i got no response when i told about that, but this made them not sus Dark Blue, so eventually we voted pink out as he was one of the few we didnt have any info on, I call reactor go with them and kill Dark Green (who was the one vouching for me the entire time xD) and they were already like "oh its Yellow?????" amazing round all around tbh

No biggie, my impostor friend can vouch for me. NOPE. They said I killed right in front of them. There were no other witnesses. I did that while I was an imposter, I sussed my imposter friend, but I kept in my that I must win for him, so that's what happened, I won, I even told him in the lobby that I did it for him
i know i used to rat out the other imposter but i realized how crap it is, i mean- if you think about it you need your imposter-mate to help you sabotage, help you kill, and help you win the game to rat them out is foolish, and i think you should stand up for them instead

7:18 At the end when you only have 3 people left, your kill time wont charge before an emergency meeting can be called so its best to sabatoge something so that they cannot use the button and your kill is finished charging you can kill one during that time then claim victory. i did this one time. i was an impostor while playing with my friends (final 4) and we voted somebody off and they were like "if it's not them it's purple" so i was waiting for my kill to recharge while they were waiting for the emergency meeting to recharge with three of us left. so with the power of big brain time i sabotaged the reactor and they ran to go fix it so i was able to kill one of them, thus winning the game

A trick I've picked up is that, especially in rando games, you can lead the interrogations. By being the one saying "Where did you find it." "Blue, Where were you?" "Can anyone confirm that" "I was with orange so I KNOW he's innocent" Especially coupled with making a few friends, you can get yourself into a confirmed clique.
I do that, but the other crewmates suspect me because they think that I am overexplaining or that I am trying way too hard to appear innocent. With the randoms I play with, it is much better to be quiet! It doesn't matter whether I am a crewmate or an impostor. I was once an awesome impostor, now I don't know what happened.
Person 1: I saw her [me] vent in [some random place I wasn't even at]. Me: I did not, person 1 is lying. Everyone: Sounds reasonable to me *votes me*. Me: ok but if I'm not the imposter, vote person 1 next [I've only played with one imposter so you instantly know, even if the confirmation is off]. Me: *dies*. Tip: when you get caught while be the imposter say “ also the other imposter is ( some random person who not the imposter )” to help your teammate out. This works a lot
You can make it more believable by pretending to get angry and blame him for you getting caught (not giving you an alibi, closing doors on you at a bad time, being generally useless or a bad player...). Of course if someone accuses you and you're guilty you can go "it's not me, he's lying", but that's also how an innocent would react, so who's to say you're really innocent or guilty? The trick is to make sure you sound like you're on the verge of rage quitting and you're trying to evacuate all your anger on that noob you got stuck with in the 30 seconds you have before you're thrown into the lava, so that people's immediate thought isn't: oh yeah he's definitely framing that guy.

I don't do that often but I can say that trick works well. However, I think it's best if you beg to the crewmates not to vote off the person instead of saying they're your partner. It's best to just say stuff like "Oh by the way, Orange did scan so don't vote him." and they will think that Orange is your partner. Also, it's best to do it on someone who doesn't talk much throughout the game.

I’ve noticed there a lot in the way you phrase stuff. Say: “I was with red and I didn’t die” Not “I was with red and red didn’t die” When accusing someone you should never say it with certainty. Say: “I saw pink in that area but I’m not sure” Not: “I saw pink, it’s pink”
Yeah. Especially the last part. When you accuse them of doing something slightly suspicious, it doesn’t reveal you as the imposter, and when people hear that someone has done something suspicious, they are more likely to give evidence to support your case as well, now that there is a lot of small pieces of evidence against someone.
"I saw Pink, it's pink" yeah, when playing with random people, calling someone out, is sure fire way to get that person thrown out, however, the likelihood is that you'll get thrown out immediately after, if eject confirmation is turned on.
Crucial Tip: When there are 3 people left and you are the imposter, sabotage right when the round starts so they cannot press the emergency meeting button. From then on, you can either camp the button and kill them, or go to the emergency with them and kill once your cool down is up.
@@qmeister8898 i dont really see a situation where locking doors is gonna work when there are 3 people left. im pretty sure when you lock a door (some doors are an exception to this) you cant start a sabotage. and when you do sabotage you cant lock any doors until the cooldown is up.
i just want to say this to the people who dont know but when someone is watching cameras the camera will start blink red. it would help a lot for impostors so you should check it before you kill.i hope this helps someone win in among us.
It was my main problem when I first started. I mainly kill in rooms with vents and call an emergency at the other side or cut the lights. Or close doors near it and pretend to do reactor and help the crisis
I turned a team against each other and did a double murder while befriending yellow and at the very end of me being impostor I murdered them in plain sight. They didn’t suspect me because we were friends.

Donkey Kong that happened to me once. I picked black color because I like the color, and this guy said “vote black cuz black lives don’t matter” I’m not even black, I just picked the color black in a fun jelly bean man murder mystery game. We kicked him. Some people are nice in among us, but you have some bad apples too. That’s why I mostly create my own games, then offensive and rude people like that can be instantly kicked out with the simple press of a button.
I manipulated green by staying with him the whole time and not killing him and he defended me when I was under suspicion. Then the last crewmate I killed was green and after the game he swore and left. Best feeling ever

I played for the first time yesterday. After a few rounds, it was my turn to be the Imposter. You NEED to stay cool, Learn to lie and to know the map. I. E. : I killed Brown dude in south and went north and killed Pink, then I reported. Blue accuse me of killing Brown, my defense was "I was at north and saw Pink, if you saw me, why you didn't report the body?" Blue was silent and everybody doubted him. We won because my partner was the Killer and I was merely a distractor for the sabotage, use the advice of the video of being there for "clearing" The mess, people will gain your trust.

One tip I use for the imposter pretty often is that when ever you are caught as an imposter, and there are multiple imposters, try to lie and say that a random innocent is accualy an imposter, and try to bring them down with you. Another one is to defend the other imposter and say that they did medbay, wepons, or trash is storage. only say that if he or she isnt under the watchlist, becuase then you both will loose. remember, this only works for 2 or 3 imposters.

Tip: If there's 3 people left, Don't stay doing nothing. sabotage something. People can't press the button if there's a sabotage happening. This will give you more than enough time to kill someone before they press the button
True big brain strategy, if your the last imposter with only two crewmates left, if they have both voted for you just don’t vote, if one of them leaves out of Bordem it’s a automatic victory
You shouldn't go for completely lone targets all the time. The easiest way to get caught is by running around alone or hanging around at admin whole game looking for lonely targets. If the crew is relatively smart, they will question why they haven't seen you around, while everyone else is accounted for. IMO the best tactic is to follow a group around, and the moment someone separates, cut the lights, snap his neck, and immediately join the group again. The key is to get into a good alibi group ASAP after the kill, and preferably even follow someone to "discover" the body. In general, the O2 and reactor, etc instant win sabotages are great for stalling, they shouldn't be underestimated when it comes to buying you time. The lights is the best sabotage for killing people, as it is impossible to determine who was the killer when you see nothing at all. My own tactic is to call oxygen and reactor emergencies when my kill is on cooldown, to have the crew moving around not doing their tasks, and cutting the lights when I can kill. Calling frequent emergencies is also a great way to throw off and separate people, especially when the clearing requires two different rooms.

Also i will say, if you and your imposter friend are still alive and there’s only three people left- just kill one of them, cause the game would be over and you would’ve won. The reason for this is it’s a 2v2 vote, so your imposter friend wouldnt vote for you. Kinda like when the game ends if there is only one person left
doesn't even talk about the common tasks. the number of "common tasks" listed in the pre-game lobby means the first x number of tasks are the same for all crewmates so fake those (fake them at the same time as others so people don't catch you out)
One time I was playing Among Us and I was one of the imposters. I was successful until some dude randomly started accusing me in full caps. I ended up getting voted out although there was no explanation neither proof. After I died, another ghost said in chat "you idiot my friend is sitting right next to me". He got killed by me and then told his friend and that's how I got accused randomly. They ended up being able to cheat again and get my other imposter friend out. However the other players were suspicious and confused by them randomly accusing random people. The kid who was alive ended up being voted out but my imposter friend was then voted out after the kid was found innocent. I was so mad that these kids were ghosting (not in the actual game, as in a form of cheating). After the match ended I told the host to kick them both out for ghosting and after half a minute of arguing I ended up getting kicked... I have never been so disappointed and pissed with a video-game community in my whole life
I saw that happen a lot too. It frustrates me so much, what's the point of the game if you do that? I play with a bunch of my friends using discord, but we never say who killed us, or if we are the impostor to each other. It's even more exciting this way because we have to deceive each other by acting and the random players by typing on the chat.
I was once kicked from a game because I called some random little kid out for using "OBJECTION" and "TAKE THAT" unironically trying to accuse me as impostor. I love my community
I was in a server that told me I had to wear the face mask or else I would get kicked. This one guy didn’t want to and I jokingly say ok Karen in chat and I get kicked.

And on a side note, winning as the impostor for me is often a grand spectacle. *Kills blue infront of white without realising.* *Reports the body and blames white, claims to have seen them acting suspicious on cams after leaving the room the body was in.* *It works, and nobody dares to question my mistake, and when someone finally does, I admit I was wrong, but shift focus to my cams alibi.*
Here’s a tip: If you see someone afk at spawn, don’t even talk and votes someone during voting time. Keep in mind that sometimes it could be someone with his friend talking in discord VC trying to lie about being afk, when they are killed by the imposter, he will tell his friend who is the imposter and his friend will either report the dead body in spawn or press the emergency button, and sometimes it could be an alt standing still and the main alt will bait the imposter to kill their alt, then they will convice people to vote for the imposter and when other crewmates ask “any proof?” they will ignore and keep convincing people to vote the imposter... OR it could be someone who is really need to be afk trying to poop (I think) Hopefully this tip works. I recommend you try it in Skeld or Mira HQ. Peace out.

This happens a lot! A friend of mine likes to be a troll and just follows people around when he's not the impostor and has finished his tasks, just to see how they react. 7 out of 10 times the person he was following says that he's sus and everyone just votes him out.
NOTE: Everyone has tells. Some are subtle [a little hesitation before going to a stack] and some are obvious [saying "Fellas" when you're an Impostor] but all have to go.
I consider myself a pretty good imposter, I once played a round where I was the only imposter, got everyone killed, and had no suspicion placed on me. It was a 1:10 as well. None of that 6 player crap
I did that once. Befriend someone and follow them around and when impostor follow again or stay behind during a crisis sabotage and kill someone somehow. Or lure them into med bay security navigation or electric. Navigation doesn’t have walls to block so light cut would be good and run for vents immediately after killing. Security had walls but is close to many areas so light cut too and vent run. Electric is, cut power, shoot victim, run run vent, med bay wait till someone innocent is alone and comes in and just do everything else and say you were at navigation or something
Its also important to know that if you are imposter and theres only 3 left, WAIT until the button is around 5-10 seconds left to sabotage, this maximizes your time of getting your kill cooldown for a secured win. Also if there are 4 left including you as imposter and you cant seem to blame anybody you can take a gamble and call a sabotage that will separate the group (O2 on skeld, seismic on polus and reactor on mira) watch where everybody is going and hopefully only 1 will go to one area and the other 3 to the other area to fix the sabotage, you can kill in the group of 3 and blame it on the other person, since the other person has no info (cause went alone to fix sabotage) it turns into a 50/50 if you win and didnt get voted off just follow the rule above ^ for a win. This doesnt work all the time as it is a gamble but its worth a try in a few games

As someone who has played since launch day, the main tactic is learning each map and vent route. Keep an eye on other players and make sure to be as far as possible from your kills. Always be very calm so you don't get nervous.

Have everyone stick together with 1 other person, and make sure everyone knows the pairs. When one player in a pair dies, the other is the most likely culprit. This makes it a LOT harder for the imposter, but for those of us who like a challenge, or like legendary players like 5up and blitz, it makes things interesting. Now go! Spread my message! You forgot that if you’re in final four, you can blame someone else and tell them that you’d let them vote you if they weren’t the imposter. Once they eject the innocent you blamed, they’ll see that they messed up and immediately hover over the emergency button. They’ll be dying to press it before your kill cool down is finished. To avoid the meeting and getting voted out, you just simply sabotage reactors just before the emergency button cool down occurs, and you get to watch them scramble helplessly before killing any one of the two crew members and winning the game. You don’t even have to make the kill sneaky because it’s the last kill of the game. The reason this works is because the added time of waiting to press the emergency button, going to fix the reactors, AND having to come back is enough time for your cool down to wear off. It is IMPORTANT that you sabotage reactors and ONLY reactors is because it requires two people to fix them. You don’t want somebody to go fix electrical and have the other innocent press the button right after the lights are fixed. There’s no guarantee that your cool down will have finished.
That’s my little tip for securing a win when the last pair of innocents know you’re the imposter.

I also forgot to mention that you WILL be able to close doors right after reactors are fixed, so take advantage of that if the crewmembers happen to be quick with the repair.
i once did something like this as the only impostor left out of 3 :P i sabotaged the oxygen (in skeld map) and then locked them out of the cafeteria. by the time the doors opened my cooldown was over and i killed one of them and won the game B)

I won one game like that it was so damn satisfying, one ran to reactors the other stayed helplessly looking at me near the meeting table as we both waited out my cooldown :D

Imposters are probably immune to lava(since they win when reactor explosion happens), no oxygen(victory if o2 wasn't fixed in time) and fall damage(doubted since there is no disaster in the game that result in free fall). Only thing crewmates achieve by voting them out is literally kicking them off the ship/hq and using lava as some sort of dungeon from where you can't get out.

Sometimes you can make the excuse that you just "saw the report button come up" and you hit it, but make sure you say that you dont know what color the body was (if there is more than one dead) and you don't know the exact position of the body.

I once had a FANTASTIC game with randoms as Impostor. At the start of the game, I (cyan) noticed pink doing meteors. I stuck around and watched them do it, and I kept it in mind. I sabotaged comms, then kill-stacked while everyone fumbled trying to fix it, then I stood around as if I was helping too, until the body was spotted.
During discussion I vouched for Pink, and for the rest of the game I had Pink wrapped around my finger. I faked tasks with Pink tagging along, I followed Pink as they did tasks, sabotaging lights to break off and perform kills at every opportunity. Every discussion, I vouched for Pink and Pink would vouch for me - after all, I was with Pink every round, right?
It came down to four of us, and White was hard sussing me - but he had already destroyed his credibility by sussing Pink, who did meteors, and sussing Red, who was now dead. We moved as one unit to navigations as Brown tried to finish his last tasks, when I sabotaged the reactor on the complete opposite side of the ship.
Of course, I didn't break off to do it - I didn't want the impostor to kill whoever was left behind, of course. So I waited for everyone to move to reactor where I stood at the bottom and pretended to use the scanner, while Brown and Pink took too reactor. When White came, I killed him, just to rub it in his face. Then I won as the ship exploded. The next game, the ghosts of people I've killed (and Pink) told me I was a fantastic actor and no one but White expected it.
Lessons you can learn: vouch for someone and offer to buddy up, and never kill them. Kill during sabotages only if you can help it. Keep people who sus you for no reason alive till the end, because killing them actually makes you sus.

this is my best impostor round imo (im yellow, my impostor friend was dark blue):
i start the game off with "doing" wires at admin, along with 4 others, me and 2 others branch off and walk towards storage, right when we entered i cut lights, i walk back and kill the one person still at wires (black), then immediately went to comms, i pretended to do the task with the switch there (the one you need to be in electrical for first) and then went to download, Dark Green asked me about this, asking which tasks i did, and i told them "the switch, i went from electrical to comms and flicked the switch) and said i went to do download right after that, and he completely believed that
later on, i was with Dark Blue in Navigations where there was nobody, but i did see camera lights flicker, so i thought i would have someone to vouch for me there, i cut lights and immediately run towards it, along with Dark Blue, then the first person comes in (white) and i kill them, then the second person comes in (Red) and Dark Blue kills him before he could call the body and Dark Blue and I run towards the vent in the back and vent to Medbay, the body is then called.
Dark Green immediately states that he completely believes me so that i had no sus on me, and i told i was at Nav in the beginning along with Dark Blue and stayed with him for a long while and that could have killed me, and said there were cams to prove that for me. apparently the person on cams was either Red or White, cuz i got no response when i told about that, but this made them not sus Dark Blue, so eventually we voted pink out as he was one of the few we didnt have any info on,
I call reactor go with them and kill Dark Green (who was the one vouching for me the entire time xD) and they were already like "oh its Yellow?????"

7:18 At the end when you only have 3 people left, your kill time wont charge before an emergency meeting can be called so its best to sabatoge something so that they cannot use the button and your kill is finished charging you can kill one during that time then claim victory.

A trick I've picked up is that, especially in rando games, you can lead the interrogations. By being the one saying "Where did you find it." "Blue, Where were you?" "Can anyone confirm that" "I was with orange so I KNOW he's innocent" Especially coupled with making a few friends, you can get yourself into a confirmed clique.
Yeah i noticed that the people who do that are never sus. If they aren't proven innocent it's a 70% chance it's them. And that's a crewmate tip!

I do that, but the other crewmates suspect me because they think that I am overexplaining or that I am trying way too hard to appear innocent. With the randoms I play with, it is much better to be quiet! It doesn't matter whether I am a crewmate or an impostor. I was once an awesome impostor, now I don't know what happened.

Tip: when you get caught while be the imposter say “ also the other imposter is ( some random person who not the imposter )” to help your teammate out. This works a lot
You can make it more believable by pretending to get angry and blame him for you getting caught (not giving you an alibi, closing doors on you at a bad time, being generally useless or a bad player...). Of course if someone accuses you and you're guilty you can go "it's not me, he's lying", but that's also how an innocent would react, so who's to say you're really innocent or guilty? The trick is to make sure you sound like you're on the verge of rage quitting and you're trying to evacuate all your anger on that noob you got stuck with in the 30 seconds you have before you're thrown into the lava, so that people's immediate thought isn't: oh yeah he's definitely framing that guy.

I don't do that often but I can say that trick works well. However, I think it's best if you beg to the crewmates not to vote off the person instead of saying they're your partner. It's best to just say stuff like "Oh by the way, Orange did scan so don't vote him." and they will think that Orange is your partner. Also, it's best to do it on someone who doesn't talk much throughout the game.

I’ve noticed there a lot in the way you phrase stuff.
Say: “I was with red and I didn’t die”
Not “I was with red and red didn’t die”
When accusing someone you should never say it with certainty.
Say: “I saw pink in that area but I’m not sure”
Not: “I saw pink, it’s pink”
Yeah. Especially the last part. When you accuse them of doing something slightly suspicious, it doesn’t reveal you as the imposter, and when people hear that someone has done something suspicious, they are more likely to give evidence to support your case as well, now that there is a lot of small pieces of evidence against someone.
"I saw Pink, it's pink" yeah, when playing with random people, calling someone out, is sure fire way to get that person thrown out, however, the likelihood is that you'll get thrown out immediately after, if eject confirmation is turned on.

Crucial Tip: When there are 3 people left and you are the imposter, sabotage right when the round starts so they cannot press the emergency meeting button. From then on, you can either camp the button and kill them, or go to the emergency with them and kill once your cool down is up.

I manipulated green by staying with him the whole time and not killing him and he defended me when I was under suspicion. Then the last crewmate I killed was green and after the game he swore and left. Best feeling ever

I played for the first time yesterday.
After a few rounds, it was my turn to be the Imposter.
You NEED to stay cool, Learn to lie and to know the map.
I. E. : I killed Brown dude in south and went north and killed Pink, then I reported.
Blue accuse me of killing Brown, my defense was "I was at north and saw Pink, if you saw me, why you didn't report the body?" Blue was silent and everybody doubted him.
We won because my partner was the Killer and I was merely a distractor for the sabotage, use the advice of the video of being there for "clearing" The mess, people will gain your trust.
JoJo_Baoh I did a similar thing. I was on polus and I killed brown in med bay, vented to admin, killed white in O2, went back and reported brown. No one suspected me
my first ever online game, i was imposter. i didn’t kill anyone and still got voted out first round 🥴
One time I was getting found out so I said: "Aight the other imposter is blue."
Then the actual other imposter, Cyan, went on and killed blue. And I started yelling at him in ghost chat.

So there was that one game where my fellow imposter got ejected I am the only one that still hasn’t been proved innocent there were 4 people left when all hope seemed lost I remembered my lessons in class and swiftly vented to kill a guy by making him follow me to spawn where no one goes in Mira then a sabotage which made 1 go to the other side of the map vented to him and boom I was on my nerves Because I was waiting for my kill cool down and it’s a matter of time before the last two that sticked together find the body but the sabotage came in clutch and BOOM I won thank you master imma be waiting for my next class
I just can’t kill anyone with a pet it’s to much guilt for me..

@@cuturtimeshort1450 same, I usually try and kill them first then pull on people's heart strings by saying why would I kill a crewmate with a child.
One tip I use for the imposter pretty often is that when ever you are caught as an imposter, and there are multiple imposters, try to lie and say that a random innocent is accualy an imposter, and try to bring them down with you.
Another one is to defend the other imposter and say that they did medbay, wepons, or trash is storage. only say that if he or she isnt under the watchlist, becuase then you both will loose.
remember, this only works for 2 or 3 imposters.
Taking someone with you is the best strat
i never say that my parter did an animation task, if they vote them and see that they were an impostor they'd prolly vote me after that.

it'll be easier to stay calm with experience. trust me!
Imposter: act very normal while killing everyone while using dome extra skill called sabotage which can either kill everyone or just distaction
Crewmate: nothing, just complete your task or pretend doing something cause everyone going to either die or caught the imposter
Tip: If there's 3 people left, Don't stay doing nothing. sabotage something. People can't press the button if there's a sabotage happening. This will give you more than enough time to kill someone before they press the button

I loved that. I got a lot of criticism about how much shit I eat as imposter. Hopefully this clears up my diet
True big brain strategy, if your the last imposter with only two crewmates left, if they have both voted for you just don’t vote, if one of them leaves out of Bordem it’s a automatic victory
You shouldn't go for completely lone targets all the time. The easiest way to get caught is by running around alone or hanging around at admin whole game looking for lonely targets. If the crew is relatively smart, they will question why they haven't seen you around, while everyone else is accounted for.
IMO the best tactic is to follow a group around, and the moment someone separates, cut the lights, snap his neck, and immediately join the group again. The key is to get into a good alibi group ASAP after the kill, and preferably even follow someone to "discover" the body.
In general, the O2 and reactor, etc instant win sabotages are great for stalling, they shouldn't be underestimated when it comes to buying you time. The lights is the best sabotage for killing people, as it is impossible to determine who was the killer when you see nothing at all.
My own tactic is to call oxygen and reactor emergencies when my kill is on cooldown, to have the crew moving around not doing their tasks, and cutting the lights when I can kill. Calling frequent emergencies is also a great way to throw off and separate people, especially when the clearing requires two different rooms.
dude, just say: 'Evidence?' when the accuse you, or blame someone else, if they get ejected, no one will bat an eyelid

One time my imposter buddy screwed up and got voted out after killing someone

Also i will say, if you and your imposter friend are still alive and there’s only three people left- just kill one of them, cause the game would be over and you would’ve won. The reason for this is it’s a 2v2 vote, so your imposter friend wouldnt vote for you. Kinda like when the game ends if there is only one person left

doesn't even talk about the common tasks. the number of "common tasks" listed in the pre-game lobby means the first x number of tasks are the same for all crewmates so fake those (fake them at the same time as others so people don't catch you out)

One time I was playing Among Us and I was one of the imposters. I was successful until some dude randomly started accusing me in full caps. I ended up getting voted out although there was no explanation neither proof. After I died, another ghost said in chat "you idiot my friend is sitting right next to me". He got killed by me and then told his friend and that's how I got accused randomly. They ended up being able to cheat again and get my other imposter friend out. However the other players were suspicious and confused by them randomly accusing random people. The kid who was alive ended up being voted out but my imposter friend was then voted out after the kid was found innocent. I was so mad that these kids were ghosting (not in the actual game, as in a form of cheating). After the match ended I told the host to kick them both out for ghosting and after half a minute of arguing I ended up getting kicked... I have never been so disappointed and pissed with a video-game community in my whole life
I saw that happen a lot too. It frustrates me so much, what's the point of the game if you do that? I play with a bunch of my friends using discord, but we never say who killed us, or if we are the impostor to each other. It's even more exciting this way because we have to deceive each other by acting and the random players by typing on the chat.

I was once kicked from a game because I called some random little kid out for using "OBJECTION" and "TAKE THAT" unironically trying to accuse me as impostor. I love my community
I was in a server that told me I had to wear the face mask or else I would get kicked. This one guy didn’t want to and I jokingly say ok Karen in chat and I get kicked.

*It works, and nobody dares to question my mistake, and when someone finally does, I admit I was wrong, but shift focus to my cams alibi.*
Here’s a tip:
If you see someone afk at spawn, don’t even talk and votes someone during voting time. Keep in mind that sometimes it could be someone with his friend talking in discord VC trying to lie about being afk, when they are killed by the imposter, he will tell his friend who is the imposter and his friend will either report the dead body in spawn or press the emergency button, and sometimes it could be an alt standing still and the main alt will bait the imposter to kill their alt, then they will convice people to vote for the imposter and when other crewmates ask “any proof?” they will ignore and keep convincing people to vote the imposter... OR it could be someone who is really need to be afk trying to poop (I think)

This happens a lot! A friend of mine likes to be a troll and just follows people around when he's not the impostor and has finished his tasks, just to see how they react. 7 out of 10 times the person he was following says that he's sus and everyone just votes him out.

NOTE: Everyone has tells. Some are subtle [a little hesitation before going to a stack] and some are obvious [saying "Fellas" when you're an Impostor] but all have to go.

An alternative strategy is “The Dork Shadow”, named after, well, the player Dorkshadow. He says nothing and simply walks around killing everyone.

I consider myself a pretty good imposter, I once played a round where I was the only imposter, got everyone killed, and had no suspicion placed on me. It was a 1:10 as well. None of that 6 player crap
I did that once. Befriend someone and follow them around and when impostor follow again or stay behind during a crisis sabotage and kill someone somehow. Or lure them into med bay security navigation or electric. Navigation doesn’t have walls to block so light cut would be good and run for vents immediately after killing. Security had walls but is close to many areas so light cut too and vent run. Electric is, cut power, shoot victim, run run vent, med bay wait till someone innocent is alone and comes in and just do everything else and say you were at navigation or something
i think i have a tip for myself:
when venting, make sure nobody is near. dont just immediately get out, or you may get caught.
Its also important to know that if you are imposter and theres only 3 left, WAIT until the button is around 5-10 seconds left to sabotage, this maximizes your time of getting your kill cooldown for a secured win.
Also if there are 4 left including you as imposter and you cant seem to blame anybody you can take a gamble and call a sabotage that will separate the group (O2 on skeld, seismic on polus and reactor on mira) watch where everybody is going and hopefully only 1 will go to one area and the other 3 to the other area to fix the sabotage, you can kill in the group of 3 and blame it on the other person, since the other person has no info (cause went alone to fix sabotage) it turns into a 50/50 if you win and didnt get voted off just follow the rule above ^ for a win. This doesnt work all the time as it is a gamble but its worth a try in a few games

As someone who has played since launch day, the main tactic is learning each map and vent route. Keep an eye on other players and make sure to be as far as possible from your kills. Always be very calm so you don't get nervous.
You have no idea how well the trick with the lights and killing someone in the middle of the crowd worked
