A tip that I learned was to yawn, paying attention to where your tongue is in your mouth and then put your tongue in that same position when your playing low notes. Lmk if this advice helps!
Try practicing that little exercise I did in the video. Go between a low Bb and a bis Bb. Your tongue should go from the ahhhhh position to the ayyyyy (like hay) position. Once you get the tongue movement down, those notes will pop out with no problem.
Your videos are always full of great information. Low notes seem to come naturally for me. It's that pesky F#6 that I have a hard time reaching and holding on my soprano sax.
High notes on the soprano usually take a little extra work. Keep a really firm embouchure and get your tongue up high in the eeeeeeeee position and that should help.
I am today years old when I found this out. Thanks so much.
Great !I struggle with low notes and high notes and your so cool for the tips I love it !
Thank you!!!!😭
That's new to me. Im gonna try it today.

Hey Scott quick question for you man. What tip opening do you use for your mouthpieces?
On alto I use a Barkley Brazil Kustom Pop 7 blue. On tenor it’s a Syos Scott Paddock Artist Series 8.
