For any non-Brits, from a Brit! Our 'stereotypical British or English accent' is RP - Received Pronunciation (more commonly known as The Queen's English/ BBC pronunciation / Oxford English)... a lot of us who grew up in the South of England, around the home counties (cities surrounding London) eg: Kent & Berkshire, or like myself in Surrey, were educated to pronounce English with RP or at least very close to it! In honesty, I think the rest of the UK consider us to have a 'neutral' accent, as realistically 90% of Brits speak English with a different accent!! Since Harry grew-up in the North of England (Cheshire) he therefore has a NORTHERN accent! Which honestly is often considered to be a warm, friendly accent, much like a lovely Yorkshire accent -which is also another Northern accent!) With the amount of global travel Harry's done over the last decade as well as living in the states, it's pretty clear his lovely warm, Northern accent has become more 'neutral' over the years. Most likely so that non-natives (or, also other countries who have English as their main language who also often struggle with UK's heavily varying accents), can understand him a little easier. Plus, it's of course clear to hear based on this video that Harry's enunciation & diction has changed too which would of course be for media, communication & public speaking purposes! Hope this gives a little more insight for anyone who's not a Brit & was interested!!! 😀 PS: these accent explanations are of course very stereotypical I know!! Obviously based solely on where we've grown up & local home town influence etc sooo of course no offence or ill-intention intended at all to any of my UK peeps if reading this and I'm obviously aware we're a hugely diverse country culture, community & resident wise etc which I love and enjoy, especially being in Greater London/Surrey (zone 6) 😊
