    I noticed a lot of negative comments & I think we all need to just let people be who they are/ who they want to be. I don’t know how someone thinks or feels & neither do you. It’s really not our place or business to weigh in on the lives of people that we don’t even know. Just because it’s not something you understand or that you would do, doesn’t mean it may not be the right thing for someone else. Show more kindness & acceptance rather than judgement.

    Hey Kelly, Crew, teen kid, and great Alabama dad. Wow! Interesting.
    Takes alot of courage to come forth and tell ones story. Its and honor to. This child has along way to go and because of people before laverne and my time. The old timers, and i will be an elder next year. Because of oldtimers and my generation to my 34 year old daughter. Science has come along way. Bless the future of trans babies, rainbow babies.
    This is a great parent, taking care of their child. Yeah for PFLAG! The thing is this parent said, "All trans people are miserable" it isnt necassary to repeat negativity.
    In my early 20's, i watched a vhs tape on transgender in the south. This white old woman missing teeth, looking scrappy and miserable. Back then wasnt anything in rurall areas and different times. Especially stsying ignorant. Back then you had to have a parent go with you.
    This sentence is insenstive remark being repeated. I.lived in a conservative area in the 70's. I csn relate i didnt want to look like that white old woman looking like a man or a hooker. That was it and niptuck tv series. I have so much to say here and many different angles and perspectives.

    I did some reading about SB 184. It's not anti trans it's anti trans for youth. I'm still not sure why simply asking a child to wait till a legal age to make life CHANGING decision is a problem? They can live their life as they wish but just no internal changes until 18. The same age independence can begin. Regarding bathroom usage that should be left up to those students attending each school to decide what they are comfortable with. What's the problem with doing some basic remodeling at school to provide space for trans in bathroom n locker room? Acceptance comes in different forms but acceptance also means compromise from all sides.

      One of the main problems is puberty. By the time kids are 18 some of the have gone through irreversible physical changes that can be traumatic as they do not match their gender identity. Puberty blockers put a pause on these changes so when the kids are old enough to make that decision themselves they can more easily transition.

    • @chuhchuhchia
      @chuhchuhchia 5 месяцев назад +3

      I’m transgender and i’m 23 now, if i could’ve done puberty blockers and not had to go through male puberty it would’ve saved me from all the mental health issues I’ve gone through and the depression and suicidal tendencies of wanting to end my life. Which I tried to do many times until I was 19 and finally was able to start hormone treatments and get the help that I wish I had back when i was a child. It’s not about hurting children, YALL ARE USING THAT SH** AS AN EXCUSE TO PREVENT TRANS PEOPLE FROM LIVING THEIR TRUTH. If it was your kid you wouldn’t be saying that or maybe you would?? 🤔 And when your child takes their own life you’ll regret your decisions and opinions on the matter.

    • @liash1015
      @liash1015 4 месяца назад

      Youth is when you need to use puberty blockers. It just puts things on hold while you get yourself sorted out. It causes nothing permanent. It should be up to parents (conservatives LOVE "parents' rights" except when it comes to health care like a puberty blocker) and their kid. If you're not trans, why do you even care? Are you out there commenting about cancer treatment protocols? Just MYOB. Have an opinion, sure, but don't make laws that make others abide by your beliefs. Live and let others live.

  • @giggles7179
    @giggles7179 5 месяцев назад

    PLEASE READ It's come to the point that I dread looking through the comments on most trans-related topics/videos today. How we as a society have devolved into hatred and bigotry just the last few years because a sizable chunk of America needed confirmation that there's a community to spread that hatred within is simply baffling. We were supposed to grow with the knowledge we gain meeting each other and bridge the gap between all of our differences with love or at least humanity. THAT's what would make America great again, so why are we more divided than we've ever been? What is so difficult for so many to get past? How can we all look at the same image and see something so vastly different that it would either make us bawl our eyes out while others stand and cheer? That's not freedom or the values we've always held such an allegiance to. That's an exclusive party with a red velvet rope in which the people sipping champagne inside wouldn't be caught dead giving those outside even a sideways glance. Is this really what we want out of our future?
    If you were at all moved by this clip, please know that these people's futures are truly at risk in the next presidential election. We desperately need those who might not be as strongly affected in such a personal way to understand what's at stake for others. More than one politican has made a promise to enact sweeping laws that will deny transgender people their rights to privacy by forcing them to register their legal identification with their biological sex rather than their identity. Trans children will be affected far worse as they will likely lose the vital medical care for a gender dysphoria diagnosis. We're not advocating the butchery of children - these guidelines and treatments have long been deemed _medically necessary_ by the AMA. Take these away and we will likely have another rash of children that decide this life is too difficult for them to make it to adulthood. Please, I urge you: familiarize yourselves with the situation and make an informed vote in 2024.

    Transgender education needs to be a mandated learning experience for landlords. Most landlords need to be able to understand the complexities and the safe communities that make up the trans community. Landlords are busy, I get that but a vast majority of people live in rental housing in the USA and need to be formally aware of this for the sake of not discriminating against a tenant and or tenant's kid. Just like with any other educational platform, there are some things you can do to be supportive. States that have passed laws that give evictions an easy way out for tenants with no cause to list are some of the most discriminated states against transgender people that I have ever witnessed. It happened to me. It can happen to anyone. Especially in the state of Iowa.

      That's fine. No kids get surgery for gender dysphoria, so put your mind at ease. Most trans kids don't even get hormones; they're more likely to get puberty blockers (used safely for decades for lots of things) which make no permanent changes.

      We need to see receipts on this. Was Hayleigh diagnosed with gender dysphoria? I don`t think she`s `trans`. Just was a boy who did a few so-called stereotypically `girly` things. But never expressed HATRED of being boy. A real parent would have just let him develop in whatever made him happy, not this clinical answer to a problem that didn`t exist.

    Beyond the rules of what the Bible says and how they interpret it, that our Lord Jesus Christ will not take them into account, the only one who knows that is only him and our father Jehovah, because they are also human beings who deserve respect and to be taken into account.
