    As an ENTP, I laughed so hard at the "ENTPs and I have a mutual agreement to keep it surface level" part. ENTPs are drawn to ESFPs because ENTPs are naturally drawn to chaos, but when ENTPs and ESFPs get to know each other, we realise that deep down we are too different.

Another time it was forcing myself to make more jokes and have an open posture. Or i could have becoming better friends with somebody as a goal, etc. I take parties as "practices", practicing social skills or testing my personality and developing it while having tons of fun! Basing the entire ranking on how well a type fits in at an ESFP-style party is on point, certainly. When I noticed INTPs were saved for last, I was expecting at least a mild roasting from Kristin. I'm once again surprised INTPs ranked has high as we did... -- INTP
    EDIT: There seems to be a recurring theme on various MBTI channels that INTPs are devoid of feelings. I find this baffling and somewhat troubling, as we most definitely DO have feelings. Our reputation is not entirely unwarranted if you look at how we (normally) make decisions and the things we choose to express when we open our mouths. Most INTPs I've met (including myself) don't often wear our hearts on our sleeves, and our feelings (that do exist) require some amount of external help or prompting to come out, and even when they do come out, they'll be bundled with nuances, qualifications, and other non-sentimental information, which can sometimes - mistakenly - come across as apathetic or half-hearted.

      The numerous immature thinkers pretending they don't have feelings surely don't help. Especially when they're trying to explain to you that feelings are not real because it's just chemicals (already seen from INTPs). Even then so what? That doesn't make any difference in actuality because you have to deal with it as a sentient being. No matter how you look at it humans are factually normally created with the ability to feel.

      @huntedsnark7507 Год назад +5

      @kyurei4478 Yep! 100%
      Cognitive psychology tells us that the brains of all animals - human included - basically function on emotion. Not the same thing, quite, as the Jungian concept of Feeling as a judging function, but even so, if someone denies that they have emotions or make judgements based on feeling, it's simply denial. Which, ironically, some people can get quite ... erm ... emotional about 🤭🤭🤭

    That INTP feeling when a positive statement is followed by "except for INTP's". Oh well.. I'll say, though, you had me for the last one. I genuinely thought we'd be put in the "burden" category and now I don't know what to think.

    • @RlyOverBored
      @RlyOverBored Год назад +5

      I'd ask "Is it really the kind of tier list u want to participate or be highly regarded for?" U should ask urself this because these satirical tier lists are so intentionally poorly designed and superficial, particularly this one.
      For the ESFP, do u want to be party guy or be considered a mere sidekick or a burden as per the ESFP? It's a lose-lose situation in all possible ways because this satirical ESFP's superficial and skewed perspective doesnt even align with yours.
      If u score low, ur "undervalued" but its not like u wanted to be invited anyway. U score high but u reluctantly go to these parties by being guilt-tripped unless a hobby of interest enters the chat. Then ofc, there is the feeling u want to belong somewhere in some kind of community.
      So imo, just take it with a grain of salt, laugh it off and enjoy the satire.

    The fact that this entire tier list is predicated on who you would or wouldn't like to invite to a party is so stereotypically ESFP it hurts. But as much as I wish I could refute your points, they're pretty damn accurate in my case. Though it has been quite some time I've been to a social gathering where I haven't felt like I'm "hiding in plain sight" to some degree, so it would be amazing to have an actual small group of people I can properly connect with rather than feel like I have to play some kind of expected social role. I kind of miss that.

    • @benjib2691
      @benjib2691 Год назад +1

      Given my experience I believe it actually depends on two things :
      - Are we enjoying the current mood of the party?
      - Are we going to possibly offend some people by quitting early on?
      But yeah usually it ends up :
      - By, like Lauren perfectly described, talking to that one person we click with in a corner and, depending on many factors such as how drunk he or she is, we tend to either talk about stuff we are interested in or curious about (no matter how deep the subject is) or become improvised psychologists where the person unleashes his/her whole life-story despite us not having asked anything,
      - By telling a very small number of people that we are leaving early (in order to not stress anyone) and then retreat to our comfort zone to either chill or sleep in calm and peace.
      Overall I tolerate going to big parties but only with people I know and only 2 or 3 times a year for important events like birthdays, because these social events with a lot of people drain my energy gauge faster than the gloom in Zelda TOTK :')

    Its always funny the INTPs described in the vid can always walk out the door any given moment but dont. Sometimes, it isnt even a Fe inferior problem, sometimes its the dreaded Ne curiousity out of boredom where it becomes a sort of like FOMO once ur interest has peak to go (even if u think the party will be a flop, but u may have expected 1 odd thing to happen). Thankfully, once u "see enough" and understand the picture after analysis, the super tight boundaries are formed. The reason and evidence is crystal clear and I disregard using Fe and go straight to Te-Ni apathy. The crappy Fi demon is extremely useful in these situations as well. Just stay away from these types of people or events. U know dang well like the INTJ u dont wanna go, so dont! Great vid Kristin.

    I impulsively jumped in with "Well shes not really a Jedi, she's just force sensitive"
    The girl in Rey costume began to laugh and called me the biggest nerd (in a positive way)...... aaand the ESFP threw herself into the conversation with "I'M THE BIGGEST NERD!!!😮😮"
    Then tried to spark up a competition.... (It didn't work)
    Ohhh the ESFP.... bless their hearts 🥲
    And btw, put an INTP in costume and pour some liquid courage down our throats (sometimes we just need to be really tired) and we can be the life of the party 😏

      Introverts can be pretty sociable, especially those with significant Fe like ISFJ and INFJ, I've found.
      Also, some people have social anxiety, which they may confuse with introversion. You likely don't have social anxiety.
      For example, I knew an 'INFP' who was almost certainly an ENFP with social anxiety. Hated crowds, shied away from any kind of public speaking, avoided being the centre of attention, but still super energetic, talkative, expressive, hilarious to be around (and also a stunning amount of oversharing lol).

    Also, from my experience; ESFPs and ENFPs were notorious for spotting any introverts (especially any INXXs) within a five mile (10-ish Kilometer) radius and drag them from their hidey-holes and into some sort of existential horror that they will refer to as an "adventure." Especially during college years where Introverts haven't quite developed their "get a group together for some exciting quiet activities time" skills yet. Ni doms always seem to be exceptionally vulnerable to this... The chance to collect data for their inherent need to internally piece together patterns and build models of the Universe is just too great of a vulnerability for them to be able to resist it. They just need to know!
