@@TransitZone Yes, you can wire the tapper of one to the bell of another and vice versa, and power it with a low-voltage battery. Because we a simulating a box with boxes on both sides, we have a small push-button panel to trigger the bells, and the tappers are wired to nothing, otherwise you would unrealistically hear the bell ringing in the room (in the box that should be a mile or two away). Instruments were purchased on Ebay from various collectors. They also come up regularly at Railwayana auctions.
