As I know, in this japanese version, few hidden characters has his own endings.....scary ones.
All of these exclusive endings are removed in west versions, and in those places are inserted a generic epilogue showing the secret character and the message "Congratulations! You cleared the game with a secret character." The bosses have also this epilogue in the console versions, as both are playable only in SS and PS1.
