3 years ago when I was just starting my apprenticeship, I looked high and low for a good tutorial for this knot and found nothing. Holy hell now I know why! THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING!!!! Maybe I'll have time to go back to braiding in a year or ten. 😁
How did you make those utterly gorgeous button jesses as well? The rose sennit knot is gorgeous on its own but those buttons and their motifs? I'm in love! I can only find regular four hole buttons here. As a final note I'd just like to say that these videos of yours are utterly amazing. I often refer back to this one in particular even four years after I started braiding jesses.
The equipment you make is simply beautiful but it must be tedious to create. I’d probably go blind trying to make that knot. I take photographs of the wild animals we have here in the Black Hills especially raptors.
This is a great time of year to be photographing raptors! And yes, this knot is *_incredibly_* tedious! I have sold braided equipment for years as a side income, but I rarely end up making more than $5/hr due to the time it takes to make it right.
Also, do you ever have trouble with your super glue turning white? If I use the glue bottle more than once it will start to turn white if it’s not a bottle that’s just been opened.
YES...I was going to cover that in this video but just didn’t have time. I haven’t quite cracked the code yet but I think it might have something to do with the sweat/residue from our hands soaking in to the knot? Not really sure. But man is it tragic when it happens 😭
I'm glad you liked it! I use waxed dacron exclusively. I use several different kinds of dacron but the place that offers the most colors is Atwood Rope. It is their 1.8mm micro cord. Good lick!
Nice work. I used braid gear for years. I’m not flying any more due life changes. I tie the rose knot a little different, great to see this online.

So sorry I hit the thumb down button on accident then I realized and hit the like button quickly lol that is so interesting you do such good work
God. Bless. You…. For making that. That’s crazy. Good for you. Love your videos. Love your work. Just found your channel. Great job.
Thanks so much! I'm glad you found them helpful :)
A lot of patients but even more skill .well done.
Nicely done. 👍🏻 I'll keep the toothpick tip in mind.
Don't really understand the need for superglue, though...
Great job with the video Megan.
I have always liked this knot, but found it rather tedious to tie. The toothpick suggestion was an excellent idea, thank you.
Nice, greetings from México

A real pice of art!
Thanks for the Lesson
Great video! I was wondering, how much extra cord do you need for the knot itself? In addition to the specific length of the jess or leash? Thank you!
Lindo, lindo, bealtiful jesses. Brazabrantes, Goiás, Brasil. 👍👍
Where would I get the decorative ends for the knot?
I love your tutorial it is very well explained but what Is the length of your cord?
RESPECT
Hi I am looking at starting out do you have a link where I can get the materials from
What is the size of your line? And can I purchase it?

@@MeganTheFalconer you need to charge more! Your work is absolutely fantastic
what rope is used in this tutorial?

If I accidentally get wax on the knot portion that does it too. But sometimes it happens anyways and it sure is annoying.
Hello,
Thanks for the Tutorial!!
Can I ask you where I can buy the strands?

@@MeganTheFalconer thanks!
Whats the materials?
Las vendes?
Do you use toothpicks to brace the knot for micro birds as well? Or is there something smaller you can use?
I actually don’t braid much micro stuff, but I would definitely find something smaller to use. I can’t do the knot without the brace.
