If your copy of Cannibal The Musical(I'm using the youtube version that says 1:36:54 for some reason) is 1:36:53 start the commentary 15 seconds behind the film and it should sync up perfectly.
These guys made a musical at 23 and I’m 26 and still fighting to make a mark in the creative realm. Inspires me to hear how are they have gone for almost 3 decades, always working on another project, almost manic relaxingly working meaning doing everything for months at a time, then taking a few months off with brain storming and letting the creativity flow, making new projects then right back into the grind.
It took me until I was knocking on 40 to figure out what I really wanted to do. I work on a show for eight months out of the year, I take a month off, then I have three months to work on my side project.
Fuckin aye! I as well have pondered over this exact thing since I was a 7 yr old kid watching this epic film for the very first time.. so now we know. 🤷🏼♀️👌🏽
+mirror saw This movie feels so great to watch for me that I feel like I am in my own temple, a unique state of mind that cuts me away from all he bullshit of the world. Because the sense of humor and not pushing too hard to polish the work look feels like something that is long forgotten in this shit business. So for many years now, what I do is I open up some scotch, bourbon, brandy whatever, add some donut-esque delights near it and enjoy the whole darn thing. Feels like heaven lemme tell ya.
For a moment i thought they said Andy Kindler was in there doing the commentary with them. Trey Parker and Andy Kindler. Two people on the opposite end of the scale when it comes to values, personality, intelligence, talent, and success.
6:05 how does one raise that much money in college to make a movie!? I mean, was it just the way shit was in the 90s? Like obviously it's way cheaper to get going with digital these days, but raising money just seems so insanely difficult, let alone a hundred and twenty five fucking thousand
Just started doing my own commentary to this awesome movie on my channel. This is one of my all time favorite commentaries of all time, only one just as good is the cast commentary with Jason Biggs on amarican pie 2.
i believe 1998, when c!tm was published by troma. in the video interview on the dvd, trey has his bleached blond hair and matt has his oval glasses and long hair featured in baseketball, which came out in 1998 and was probably recorded in 1997.
This was recorded around 1999, when Trey and Matt still remembered their roots. They haven't talked to any of the other people on this commentary in years.

So just Randy? That’s alittle redundant
His dad (the judge in the movie) looks like and is named Randy. Which makes sense since Stan is based on Trey.

I love that Trey and Matt are so proud of making this movie that they used being forced to do a dvd commentary as an opportunity to get drunk.
If you’re gonna do a job, be damn sure to do it properly. ✌🏽

Omfg, I've wondered for like 10 years why Trey said "but that's not the way it happened" in that voice.

A lot of loans and I think maybe troma was involved.
pretty sure they were kidding with that 120,000 dollar line
nevermind, they did raise that much money
They had backers.

19 45 to 20 00 of the movie 15 seconds behind for sync 👍🏾
wtf...Trey's real dad is named Randy??....I hope he was the inspiration for the randy we all love and know.

Yeah both Matt and Trey names both Kyle's and Stan's parents after their own parents. Matt Groening did the same thing.
He definitely is
Treys real name is Randy too.
