- After the Second World War, hundreds of suspected Nazis escaped to Canada and have never faced prosecution for their alleged war crimes.
A Canadian Nazi Hunter is now making a final push to bring the few surviving suspects to justice, armed with evidence of atrocities.

According to historians, the Nazis did conscript foreign nationals into their ranks, but it took a special kind to join the SS. Most were given tasks that even the True Aryan SS would consider beneath him.

I love it when people try to play the blame game by not actually looking at historical facts. Let's see the Americans would not have reached the moon with Nazi help. Most of Nazis who came into Canada were very good at hiding their past by claiming that they were just regular soldiers in regular army units and not in the SS. If they were in the SS, they would have removed their special SS tattoos. The Americans asked the Canadians to turn a blind eye to them because they had intelligence on the communists. Also, these Nazis who were hiding in Canada thought they got rid of their crimes when they exterminated 6 million Jews. They never thought that any survivors would track them down. You are also forgetting our complacency. We are constantly saying why don't they just forget about it, it happened so long ago, who cares about it now.

Who was he? All i know is he was ukrainian, and he fought the ussr, which i dont blame him for, any other information on what he did to be called a nazi? He wasnt apart of the nazi party was he? You don't know your history. The Nazi Ukrainians were used at the Concentration camps as guards. The Nazi Ukranians were conscripted to other German military units; however if the SS found out you hated the Jews and the Russians and had a zeal for cruelty and killing you were brought into a Special Unit formed by the SS.
They didn't escape, they were welcomed by a number of allied countries

Trudeau really needs to resign. The people of Canada are urging he does (as much as 75-80% of Canadians when polled, have said they want him to resign)

in 1946, the ALlies determined that being a member of the Nazi party, or a soldier in the German SS or of foreign league SS does not make the person a war criminal, what would make a war criminal is evidence that the individual did create a crime. In the recent months, not one document regarding Hunka being a criminal has been presented.

You are forgetting one thing. Hitler and Stalin signed a nonagression pact prior to WWII. The only reason why Poland fell in a month was because the fact that Hitler invaded Poland on September 1st and Stalin invaded on September 15th. So what was France excuse to fall in a month. France was attacked by one country. Yes, eventually Hitler did attack Russia in 1941. He waited so that he could build up his forces and equipment supplies from the forced labour he received from the countries he enslaved.
I think hitler wanted to invade Soviet Union but he changed his mind to invade Poland in 1939 instead
@@olmrgosh1128 First check a map to see what countries that lie between Germany and Russia. Second the Allies gave parts of Germany to Poland such as Gdansk (Danzig). Third the nonagression pact gave Stalin the Eastern half of Poland. Fourth Hitler needed the conquered countries for raw materials and slave labor. Fifth what country in it's right mind to let a foreign army cross its borders without assurances they wouldn't be attacked.
As long as they stay in Ukraine, Canada will support them as long as it takes, as much as it takes.

I am absolutely all for fair trials for alleged war criminals.
Now, it's perhaps more important to reconcile our relationship with our 1st Nations and Inuit peoples.
I am saying this because in unresolved problems, time really matters.
So please understand that my intentions here are not to downplay the horrors of the Jewish Holocaust, but preceding that may be very, very similar severity of crimes that shouldn't be forgotten in the light of another tradegy.
