Hi there, sorry i'm no Korean (Thai actually) but I read a lot about foreign news including those of S.Korea president Park is involved in a big scandal involving an influence of Choi-Soon Sil, a daughter of shaman-cult leader There's a news elsewhere that allegedly said she was responsible for masterminding governmental policy and decision making during Park's administration. But her alleged negligence during the sinking of Sewol in 2014 that really fired up Koreans
Uhm... Correct me if I'm wrong, but from the description of this video I think this protest is different with the protest for President Park Geun-hye. The song did being used for the protest against the President, but not the protest depicted in this video.
Last year (2018) I was really active in the protests of my school; with other students we slept there (for about a month) and not allowed other people to enter into the stablishment (english is not my first lenguage so i don't know how that type of protests are called) and being a Sone this makes me really emotional. Please ALWAYS stand up for your rights, and for what you DESERVE. Don't EVER give up. We can make things better
Sorry if I am intruding, but I want to ask. How did the first day of sit-in at the main building start? How did students know that there was a meeting going on? How were students able to keep the faculty members/professors from escaping? Did they lock the door, block the door? How did students provide food to the them? Was the student council the leading force behind the protest? How did students communicate online? You don't have to answer if you don't want to! I am just curious because I was a foreign intern at a Ewha department but never understood how the students were able to be so successful in the protest. I am just amazed of the students.
@@oktaecyoong hey! I saw this too late, I'm sorry. Well it was hard. We entered to the building in the night, there was no security people even when the directors knew there was a high probability of us taking over the building (we did it for our own reasons as students but also because our teachers where in a long protest again the directors) so we just entered, a teacher provided us a key we only had to act like we were forcing the door bc there were cameras. Then inside we blocked the doors with chairs and tables from the classrooms (we had to go to the principal inspector office to get the key of all classrooms). We slept in a big room that we filled with yoga mats from the sports room and put our own sleeping bags there. About the food: in my country the thing we did is of course illegal but the police can only enter and take students out if the principal calls and ask them to do so. He of course wouldn't bc of the school's image. So our parents would bring us food somedays and we cooked by turns at the teacher's dinning room.
