Thank you I’ve watched this for 11 hours straight doing a grade 10 math test your awesome thanks for the video this helped a lot. you did way more in 15 minutes then my teacher did in her whole course.
i feel like teachers often get it wrong when teaching these equations. they always go cubes (square) first, and it unravels into nuance from there. it'd be simple if they taught you triangles first IMO. reason being, you cant simply multiply two sides to figure out its perimeter like you can with a square. always created confusion when i was younger.
This video is probably one of the best tutorials I've ever watched! And while it earned a safe spot among the best shortcuts, I still do have a bedeviling problem that should be prioritized! It all about the formulas u stated; General Formulas for Prisms and Cylinders V = Bh, S.A= 2B + pH I spotted a cube-like shape as well as a regular cuboid there My teacher says, that the surface area of a cube is 6 times its length, and when I relate this formula with urs, I do come across with different results. By solving this question with both formulas, I think you'll get what I am talking about A CUBE HAS A LENGTH 5CM, CAL. 1) IT'S SURFACE AREA 2) LENGTH OF DIAGONAL 3) VOLUME PS. Surface Area of a Cube - 6X² ( 6 times its length) Length of Diagonal - X√3 (where x= length) Volume - X³ (where x = length)
Oh my goodness, finally, I get it. Your video was amazing. I watched it several times to make sure I took good notes. Sometimes it takes the right teacher and you were certainly the right one. Thank you.
Thanks bro I really cannot express this teaching of yours, it really simplified version understand the explanation and how you put them. Bro continue you are doing a great job.💯💯💯💯❤️👍
Thank You for helping me Mr.Mario I am doing geometry it is based on my Math GED I am working and trying make very good grades. It helps me to improve.😀🙂
Great video! I had one question though: I had a question on bluebook practice test #4 that utilizes a different formula for the surface area of a rectangular prism (#21 on the hard math section, the question being "Two identical rectangular prisms each have a height of 90 cm. The base of each prism is a square, and the surface area of each prism is K cm^2. If the prisms are glued together along a square base, the resulting prism has a surface area of 92/47 k cm^2. What is the side length, in cm, of each square base?" Additionally, will I also have to know other versions of alternate surface area formulas? Thanks in advance.
I don't know if this will help you now but, the big 3 is the r shown in the formula and the little 3 is just cubed. Which gives him 27. (Sorry if you didn't need help anymore.)
since we are out of school I have one missing assignment and its a test for surface area and i dont understand how to do it but i looked up some videos and this is helping me im trying to study for it cuz its harder to do it without someone teaching me and i need to finish it by friday and after watching this i decided to subscribe cuz i have a feeling ill be needing it
i have a big volume/surface area test that i skipped because i wasnt ready and i was about to try and find another way out of this test, when i found this video. Amazing!
the second part where you kept jumping between the two questions instead of focusing on completing one (even jumping between steps during solving) got a little confusing, esp since you were going fast, but luckily its relatively simple and was able to understand. Otherwise, great video! Much appreciated mate :]
On the V of the triangle prism tobget the area of the triangle how do you know for sure which leg of the triangle is the base and height if there isn't a right triangle?
I had not paid attention to geometry; Let alone this was in my sophomore year of high school. In the 2009-10 school year. This would have been a good video to have seen earlier as I had difficulty to find surface areas for a calc 1 quiz that had a question worth 18 points. All the quizzes in that class is out of 25 points.
Do you mean for calculating the volume or the surface area? Take a look at this video I did...I think it will help explain it better for you: Surface Area of Prisms and Cylinders ruclips.net/video/8ekawfg_2Zc/видео.html
Its crazy how a video from 5 years ago is helping me understand this topic for my geometry assessment more than my notes...
Ikr?! I am using this video as a last minute study help for a test cause my textbook does not teach me right.

Superb guidance thank you sir
you are awesome man .... many thanks
You’re welcome Dina! Glad you liked the video!
13:12 The answer for volume was square instead of cubed, why didn’t Mario write S.A. (surface area) instead of V?
pretty sure he miswrote, he meant surface area.
thank you lolzz i finally understand this for my test friday
I jus wanna say thx fr cuz my teacher won’t help me and u do 🙏🏾

Can you TELL what do the CSA AND TSA MEAN ?
Mario knows math
Hi
So the answer is 113.1 u3 ?
Thank you
what an awesome and pure man
Your the best man
Nice, but man how to calculate the surface area when the cylinder is open on one base or on both bases
You can just subtract off the one or two circle areas depending on if it’s open on one end or both….hope that helps
For the traingular prism why didnt you include the 5 in the beginning??
Do you mean for calculating the volume or the surface area? Take a look at this video I did...I think it will help explain it better for you:
Surface Area of Prisms and Cylinders ruclips.net/video/8ekawfg_2Zc/видео.html
She meant at that triangular prism, sides 3,4,5 and a height of 12, instead of 4×3×5). You said 3×4 only , might be an error sir
