I have used 2.5 feet long 50/50, 4 mm thick angle iron to make this sheet metal bender.

Thanks for posting this. I just started making this now with a few changes. You have a 2 piece hinge, I’m using a 3 piece hinge. The center pin will be removable so I can separate the 2 angle iron pieces.
The top clamp part that is held down with bolts I’ll be milling the leading edge so it’s flush with the metal that’s being bent so I can get a sharp angle at the bend, not a rounded one.
Weld a washer or metal plate on top clamp bar under where screw down is. Makes for better clampdown. Have made many benders like this in past..Plus weld some spinner handles so dont need an allen key to tighten it up
Weld a small rod over the hex bolts to make them wing nuts ,easier than using an allen key

I think the piece which sits on top eith the springs is wrong. It does not provide a bemding point at all. But you could just grind it flat (45 degrees) so it sit flush. That would be a huge improvement.

Very cool. I'd like to make one with one important difference: make the hinge not in line with the bend. I often have to clad the exteriors of windows with sheet metal and the metal is often 1.5 meters or more. The length of your bender is perfect for portability, but if I could slide longer pieces through and make the bend gradually, that would be brilliant. I currently use a little hand bender and it takes forever.
Well, there's still the issue of the clamp - I'm going to have to think this through some more.
Make it longer than, your hinges have to be in that spot or you'll end up with a pivot point that creates a gap and a bad bend

When you welded the bullet hinges you had paper or tape wedged in under the hinge 🤷♂️ was there a reason for this? I’m making one now
clearance so the hinge doesn't bind, I've watched a few videos to get an idea and watched a video of how to install the hinge.

what size are the bolts you used?
lost me when the welder came out . Most of us diy'ers do not have all the equipment we need . Nice video and product.
If you don't have a welder its unlikely you will need this tool.

Need primer on that metal, under the paint, or it will rust in no time, or simply rub off, like it was already doing with your first piece you showed being bent.
Added:
That bend should be able to be much sharper. Perhaps a secondary piece to put in that is shaped to be flush with the bending edge? Or just grind down that leading edge of the clamp angle, to sit flat against the base, maybe? And if you want the more curved bends available, make a secondary edge that you can slide under that clamping angle? Not sure, but many of the things I'd want to do with this would require a sharper 90° bend.
Also, you should have some marks along that clamping angle, to square up the piece, and/or center it, so you end up with actual square bends.
