Coastal erosion is the loss or displacement of land, or the long-term removal of sediment and rocks along the coastline due to the action of waves, currents, tides, wind-driven water, waterborne ice, or other impacts of storms.
Wow, this gives us a better perspective of the scale of the erosion problem.

Sure, you look right at the heavily eroded cliffside over there but that's sooo far away...
it's beginning to give me the impression that the whole beach front area is not on any bedrock at all . just like it's maybe a very ancient , very deep mud flow that settled and compacted itself just enough to become stable land except when it comes to wave erosion or even broken pipe erosion . what really strikes me though is what these developers decided to build along that line . suspiciously like they already knew it wouldn't be worth building high end homes , so instead just built ticky tacky (cookie cutter apts.) like I've said , which probably isn't fair , 'Dewey , Cheatum , and Howe developers blew into town and said we can do this , took the money and ran then went to Arizona to sell some more ocean front property

Yes but the faster that happens the sooner their homes will be gone as well...so for the next 2 to 5 years, sure. But DO SELL in the near future if you can!^^
Good luck trying to sell your house around that area. Even being a few houses back it would be worrying.
You'd be buying a time bomb that nobody will ever take off your hands IF you could even get around to selling it before it's gone

FlyinCameras Mike I just looked it up. Someone bought the 4 acre property in 10/17 for nearly 2million (seller was asking 4!!).
All this rip rap and erosion prevention measures is nothing but a big eyesore. If one wants to live on the water's edge, your on your on. No insurance, no government, taxpayer money!
