It'd be perfect if sans was always at max percentage, and just dodged everything like the normal game. Than again It'd kinda be unfair
Ya, as cool as it would be to fit his character at the same time that would make him entirely worthless. Needing to play so perfect that you never take damage isn't really something you want to do for a fighting game, your only option there would be to give them a bunch of Dodge moves to make up for the no health, but then dodge spam would happen and that's never fun to fight.
Keeping him light with attacks that do DOT and gives him some good but close dodges puts you on the back burner and means that you have to spend a lot of your time dodging him rather than him dodging you.
well for him to be punched and stuff,he has more health than just one hp, 9999999 actually, since thats how much he takes in the battle, so if he only has 1 def, then if mario punches sans and mario has 50 atk, it would do 64 or more of atk since sans has no def to reduce the impact, now why do i say he has so much hp?, well it says he takes 9999999 of dmg, so hear me out, if you one hit toriel you'll see how much she takes, THAT'S her hp, because you cant do more dmg than the health bar of the monster, sure you can do more but the rules of this world wont let you do more dmg than the health bar of an average monster, so if we apply this to sans, tecnically speaking, he has a lot oh hp
was it ever even confirmed that sans cant take any damage without dying? i feel like that was just an assumption on the fans part because the only time you can damage him is in a genocide after he avoided all your strikes, which tbh him dodging makes sense since the player one shots everything at that point
@@BitrateBilly I mean if he only has 1 def it wouldn't matter how much HP he actually has, he wouldn't be able to take many hits in general.

You know, I’m really late to Rivals Of Aether, but I’m starting to see why I initially hated this character when I first tried it out lmao. In short I was obviously playing it completely wrong. Too used to Smash Bros and other Rivals Of Aether characters where combos exist.
I think I’ll give Sans another honest shot again now that I have at least an idea of how to play him.

So he’s pretty much just built around the idea of having very low health in exchange for having enough range to keep his distance, plus just having a lot fo annoyances
as i can see sans will be a hard charater to control and he will be a kinda unstable character that if masted well you can be almost unbetable

And to be fair sans isn't confirmed to have 1hp (independent of what the archives says because that means that mettaton neo would have to die on the way to his stage) and anyways the slash that killed him was pretty much the equivalent of stay in the 0 point of a explosion of a atomic bomb.

i wonder if you can do gaster > grab > throw > gaster > grab > throw > repeat
It's not a true combo at all, but blaster is a viable setup after a throw in some cases. If they predict it though they can very easily get out of disadvantage so it's something to be careful about.
I usually rack up damage with bair and Gaster Blaster, busted.

I'm not really a fan of normal moves acting to much like special moves and sans' down tilt is no exception, it really just gives sans more specials and less close quarters options which you know ARE THE REASON WHY TILTS EXIST???!!!?!!

Sans doesn’t have 1HP. They have 1ATK and 1DEF. Their HP is likely much higher to be honest

Just so y'all know: This character is absolutely horrible. He's supposed to be a zoner yet he gets outmatched by every other zoner because he has no good safe options due to him having very unfavorable frame data. There's not a single move he has that is safe. Not to mention that all of his projectiles can be destroyed by halfway competent players who can just destroy them by attacking or parrying them. This leaves you relying on your smash attacks but even they are outmatched in frame data by most other characters. To play him to the point of viability, you'd need to have omnipotent prediction skills, and even then, you're likely to get screwed over.
The whole point of this character is to anticipate and punish the enemy.
Is there a way to get this on switch?
