I heavily disliked when people said Roy isn’t as good the moment Kola took a break, Roy is and has been a top 10 character for a long time and I main him so I might be a little biased but he’s broken.

I love how Mkleo picks up a character and doesn't play like other top Roy players conventionally. When do you see Roy doing Jab Up air, Downthrow Back air or protect the ledge with neutral special when recovering.
tbh I think the best part of Leo's roy was that he could react to sour spot hitboxes really well and either combo off of them in unique ways or just read panic options from sour spots
@@Rafael-d5e1n No need to go for jab upair bc Jair, jab nair, and jab fair all do more for stage control, Roy's juggling isn't really amazing past 30% or so, you're better off getting them off stage or gaining stage control.
Too many good Roy mains, they must be stopped. Don't let Kola and Leo hang out. They might theory craft together and move this character up a tier and I already hate fighting Roy. He's fun to watch in the right hands though, I love watching Kola.
@@rosheafanI was talking about his character archetype moreso than his actual moves themselves but I can see how it didn’t come across that way lol. Basically Roy is very much a scrappy rushdown character and doesn’t really rely on abusing his range or spacing like other sword characters.
@@rosheafan Roy was a completely differently character in Melee. Any character *can* be scrappy but that’s not really how Lucina and Ike are typically used, and they are nowhere near rushdown characters.

I freeze up everytime cause i know they just waiting for me to roll lol Edit: yoooo at 17:32 you kinda answered lol. Still hard when they space it out of grab upB up smash but I guess just gotta tip cap to perfect spacing and bad oos options if that happens
Jab is kinda fake pressure bc it’s -9 on shield up close and jab takes 5 frames to come out again, so most grabs can beat it out especially if they’re mashing it. Edit: If they space it out of grab range then it’s actually even more unsafe at -12.

I play gnw, mario, greninja, and dedede in that order of mains. The first 2 have great oos options. With greninja you honestly just never shield unless ur going for a perry. And with Dedede you kinda have to do normal stuff and pray. Although a lot of times I roll in because I know nobody's killing me off the top before 300 lol.
Battle against a true hero. It’s from the undertale soundtrack it has a lot of bangers. You might know the memed song megalovania and the bop another medium both are also from undertale.

Kola does these things, downthrow bair isn't true, idk about the neutral special on ledge, neutral special isn't really used on him bc its punishable.

MkLeo did not play solo Roy at Diamond Dust; MkLeo played Joker into Riddles game 1 and finished it out with Roy.
