The song was used in a tv commercial about 69 and that's when it took off. I had played it in my band for those two years, I loved it. Still do. Banana and Corbitt's guitars are the best arrangement.

Jefferson Airplane recorded the song first and Jorma is there so I'm surprised they didn't discuss that.
