Mujhe pata hai and I can relate to every word as I had gone through it for 2 months after Akshaj was born and the intensity was towards the higher side...itna ki mein Akshaj ke saath ek strong bond bana nahi paa rahi thi due to my ppd. Mein mayke mein thi for my delivery. My parents, at that time, were not aware of ppd...so unko samajh nahi aa raha tha what I wss going through. Meri neend nahi poori ho paati thi and there were too many restrictions on me...ki aise khao...aise karo...aise nahi karo...bahar mat jao..etc etc. My parents were doing it out of love as they were trying to be protective about me. Unko samajh nahi aa raha tha ki isi se mujhe itni problem ho rahi hai. I used to tell them...but wohi age old response...tujhe zyada pata hai ya humein types! Thankfully, as my M.A. is in psychology and like you, during my pregnancy I had kept myself well read and well informed, I knew about ppd. So finally, I spoke to my gynec about it. She counselled me and told me ki phir bhi agar ppd kum nahi hota, she will prescribe medicines. Tab I decided ki I ll go back to Ahmedabad at the earliest as Ranjan was there and job ke vajah se wo mujhe mere mayke only every 15 days mein once milne aa paata tha. My parents initially resisted to the idea of going back to Ahmedabad with such a small baby and wahan sirf mein and Ranjan. But I put foot my down. Phir once I was in Ahmedabad, things were under my control. Ranjan was extremely supportive and understanding. We hired more help so that I can get quality time with myself and Akshaj and my bond with Akshaj grew so strong after that. I was very happy after that. That strong bond with Akshaj still remains and he's going to be 17 years old on Jan 22🧿🧿 Thanks to Ranjan for being my strongest pillar of support. 🧿🧿 Btw, mujhe bhi custard apple sabse zyada pasand hai. Wahan itni achhi dhoop hai aur tum shorts mein ho and Delhi mein cold wave....extremely cold...wearing layers of clothes! How true about PPD, also about menopause. Our mothers have gone through it without having the awareness. So good that you highlighted this topic. Very right, it’s hormones and environment. I went through a very very tough time environment wise with my first baby. But could never feel supported. Plus taking care of baby.
Hats off to you..i enjoyed my delivery phase with you as you were happy during your pregnancy and whenever i feel low, your vlog motivates me to be happy...as i gave birth on 21st oct..and felt very sad post delivery, crying almost daily due to some unwanted behaviour of some people around me (except my husband..he was very supportive that time and cz of him only i am out of that sad phase) but yes awareness and knowledge is important. Most common statement i heard during that time is “tumhare niyaare bacche paida ho rahe..humare zamaane me toh aisa hota tha..waisa hota tha” this really hurts..that time was different and now its different.. People need to understand and so called rituals are also sad part..nobody cares about mother, all they cares about rituals. Postpartum is really tough and nobody talks about it. Immediate family members need to understand. I am still felt disconnected from some people who were harsh during that time. Lots of love to you and NEEV♥️

I agree with you, I too felt PPD for multiple reasons but thankfully I was aware of it and I was able to overcome it in just a few weeks. Please share a review on Electric rocker and till what age it can be used based on baby's height?
My experience with ppd was so scary just after delivery that I don't want to recall it. And yes, nobody (in-laws side) would understand this and they are like you are over dramatic and over reacting to tiny things or sometimes you are using it to get sympathy. Here in UK, midwives have new moms groups to deal with ppd while organising some in-person & online activities, in fact they sooth you on calls also while sharing their experience and listening to yours too.
