I absolutely love the mix of prehistoric vibes with futuristic tech vibes while it also makes perfect sense in the franchise narrative. It’s incredibly smart and creative and it’s one of the things I really like about the Horizon games
Got the game yesterday and i can say, it still is a blast of fun. The gameplay and the mechanics are so refreshing even tho the game is pretty old but its so damn fun to play
i bought this game like a year ago for 7 dollars on a crazy sale on steam i think black friday and it sat in my library for about that time period until i finally played it blown away by how great it looks on PC
I've played the PS4 version but happily bought this on PC on the Stream Winter Sale. Fun Fact: There is AI behind the machine animals that they will start to learn and adapt to the players combat tricks. I'm not sure if this is only on higher difficulties though.
@@maximilianklein2062 it feels good fr. Coming from over 20 years on controller lol I’m definitely having a good time with the learning curve of the keys but man it’s hard to go back to controller
@Victor Flores . I've been paying controller and console games for 30 years. I can play Zero Dawn on Playstation with a controller on highest difficulty settings. It's just, I think, this very game is so so so much better and more fun with a mouse.
Hell yeah they are. Just bought this game and it runs perfectly now. Gotta love waiting a year to play a game…only then is a consumer treated with a quality product
Yeah i’d say you should. Just got zero dawn a week ago, and no other game has enthralled me as much since mass effect. I went out and got the sequel right away for ps5. Unfortunately i have been staying well under the radar regarding this game as i knew i was going to play it some time, so i had no awareness how the dlc ties in to the main storyline, but waited to buy in after completing the game. Worst of all though is that i didn’t know i could have played it on my ps5 instead of my standard ps4, but i must say it looked really good on that to. Now its off to the forbunden west on ps5
It's on Sale now so I'll defo give it a shot. I'm mostly a PC gamer but I have to say Sony's Games are just so good! My List so far of my fav Sony games are...1. Ghost of Tsushima 2. Days Gone 3. Last of US 4. Spider-Man
@@vitalAPEX I kind of did.. I liked the way it was fun to do Combat. Hogwarts has took my time for now and I'm having a blast on that game. but I want to Continue this after. and I really want to get Forbidden West
Most people still like and play AC, it's selling incredibly good, you usually hear bad things about games from twitter, reddit, and think nobody plays the game, but turns out that it's the vocal minority and most people just play and don't complain, i found odyssey very fun and now thinking about getting valhalla.
I’m an Xbox gamer but I have os5 so that I can also play exclusives. I love it because I don’t care about the trophies or 100% so I just play the game the way I like playing if I don’t want to do a side mission I simply don’t. And this game is one of my favorites PS exclusives
Its one of the best story's i have played in ages.. It still looks good, perhaps with a reshade, and some other mods. Its simply an amazing game.. if your in these type of game's, play it, now.
Oh man, I'll have to go back soon to Forbidden West. Pretty burnt out on open world AAA games after so much AC: Valhalla and Elden Ring. Loved the first one though: the combat, the story, the world, the soundtrack. FW plays it too safe and it almost feels like I'm playing the first one. And you can't beat the story and how it's delivered in Zero Dawn. Thanks again for the great review! What are you playing right now? I'm playing through GoW:R (more unengaging AAA cinema) but I'm still pulled away by rounds of Slay the Spire and Vampire Survivors.
Much appreciated Zane! Right now, I’ve been binging open worlds, so I’ll be burnt out soon myself. I’m playing HFW, RDR2, Fallout 4, Dying Light 2 and Mafia DE right now 😂 Open worlds galore!!! Mafia technically isn’t open world, with the free ride being separate but that’ll be my next review. Thanks again for watching and supporting the channel as always mate! Top man!
Combat is the main problem that keeps me away from this game. Shooting fcking machines with bows feel so empty and unimpactful. even tho is a beautiful game.
Then you haven't really explored all combat options... Sure, you can always just draw the arrows, and eventually tire yourself to the point of wasting 90% of your medicinal supplies and resources to kill a stronger machine (unless your Aloy is a late game, overpowered character), but most of the game, you'll be pressed to take them down asap, and combining bows, explosive and elemental slings, traps and ropes is the best way to do that... You can be very creative when it comes to combat, and it's rewarding in the end.
look i kind of not a big fan of girl boss main characters and thank god Aloy isnt really that simple of a character, the story really is mind blowingly good
Love this game! Honestly looks better than ff7 rebirth. Square should of licensed the Decima engine instead of unreal engine 4. Better lighting, and way better atmosphere. Oh well, here's hoping ff7 rebirth gets an ureal 5 upgrade in a few years.
So Forbidden West I got the ps4 physical copy at 1/3 of the initial price 6 months after release date - played a bit and it did it did not hit me as hard as Zero Dawn. I plan to play it in 2023. As for Zero Dawn. To me it was a very good game. It has its flaws. Story I would rate OK but nothing more as some plot point did not make much sense. Open world design sure it is UBI like but with a big difference. Instead like in UBI games put as much things as you possibly can (a few dozen synchronization points in AC games) here we have only 6 or 7. The same for hunting grounds and other activities it is the right amount. Menus and traversing them not a great experience. Combat was the part I like the most as well as simple (yet effective progression system - do more be more powerful to the point a previously difficult to kill machine becomes easier as you deal more damage have more tools). Combat with humans or melee combat was not as good. The world creation with its biomes was also very good. I liked Zero Dawn to the point and got platinum trophy (and I usually do not care about trophies). But also it was released in 2017 I played the complete version shortly after it was released so I back then I was not so tired of open map design as I’m now.

Unfortunately, this game STILL, in 2023, suffers from frequent game-breaking crashing issues on the PC. We've tried 'all the fixes' out there but the issue persists. The fact there are so many saving points in the map (camp fires) to try to 'ease' this issue lets you know the devs have given up on fixing this, but you need to save EVERY time you come across a save point. It is a truly fantastic, unique game, but very, very badly let down by these crashes. While the issue doesn't affect everyone (or the dev's would have acted properly), it STILL affects a very large number, with most given up on this game.
Lol. You do realise it has the same amount of camps as the ps4 version right? They didnt add them to hide crashes. Get a grip and sort your pc out. Not had a single crash in the 134 hours i've played.
So I have just beaten Horizon Zero Dawn today, and uh........well....... I mean the game is..... well uh.... In all honestly, I really did like Horizon earlier, the idea behind Horizon Zero Dawn and the feeling of being a bad-ass female hunter was so cool. Despite that tho........the later parts of the game were a bit.......ughhhhhhh, and the reason is simple.....its difficulty. While I do like a challenge, very similar to Prototype, Horizon Zero Dawn just get WAY too brutal near the end game, and while I wouldn't call it as brutal and hard as Lost Planet 2, Dragon's Dogma and ECPASSITLY Days Gone, there were many missions and bosses that really....REALLY got under my skin, the last three-to-four bosses in particular were also HUMUNGUST pains in the asses. But I am willing to let them slide because to be trueful, I didn't do any of the side-content or got any of the stronger weapons as I was somewhat rushing to get this game beaten, but even then from what I saw, this game still looks a bit brutal given how I saw some Players in videos were they were around Level 50-ish and still took quite a bit of damage. Overall, Horizon Zero Dawn is a bit of a mix-bag for me, I WANT to like the game, I really, really, REALLY do, but there are too many elements that hold it back, chef of which is its difficulty and its lack cluster bosses. I am looking forward to play Horizon Forbidden West, tho I just hope its' difficulty is more....balance then previously.
