Thanks for the upload, I love learning all these little tid bits and behind the scenes of anything cats (except the movie that shall not be named ofc). just came here to say that i came across the 3-4 that jacob was talking about here: ruclips.net/video/CwIDbOqvoCA/видео.html, it's right at the beginning. just in case someone else might think it's cool to hear it!
I don't know whether this is you, Jacob, or a re-upload of a deleted video. I know the musical Cats, and particularly the movie, so well, that I didn't need to watch it with your commentary to know exactly what you were talking about when. It's amazing to hear all these details from someone who knows the show inside out. Your Mr. Mistoffelees scene was cut considerably, but it's still one of the most iconic moments in the musical. Superb dancing! The way Mr. Mistoffelees jumped in Old Deuteronomy's arms and started "licking" his face is very moving. I had a good laugh at finding out that not only do you have a cat, but this cat demanded to be seen and heard during the livestream. Oliver is adorable and his rescue story is heartwarming. Cats is what got me into facepaint, and is part of why I have lived with cats for most of my adult life. Personality wise, I've had a Mr. Mistoffelees (he even had the black and white coat), he was my first cat. I've also had a Jennyanydots, a Cassandra, and then there's one who was unlike any cat from Cats I could possibly compare her to. Sadly, they're all gone now. I've fostered a cat who looked like a Growltiger but had an Old Deuteronomy personality, which is an exquisit combination. And I've fostered many Pouncifals, Electra's, Etcetera's and Jemima's. Currently I live with a Tugger type cat. Yeah, it's never boring with him! For he will do as he do, do...
Thank you Jacob, it was great to watch a high quality transfer of Cats and listen to your feedback over the entire play even though i think you were more modest then needed over your own parts. That spin-kick sequence around the stage during the Mr Mistoflees segment was absolutely unreal! Anyhow I really enjoyed this, and now have a quality copy of Cats worthy of burning to DVD and keeping for my grandkids!
I was going to say that comparing the 1998 movie to the 2019 movie was like comparing ice cream to horse manure, but it hit me that the comparison is being far too mean to horse manure. Horse manure can still be used to help grow flowers and crops, which means it still has more value than that 2019 abomination.
I think Jacob is amazing! The best mistoffelees ever. I was still at school when the stage production was filmed as a movie and had zero interest in musical theatre! I have since fallen in love with the old musical due to how utterly ridiculous and atrocious the 2019 movie is!!!!

Jacob is the best Misto❤ thank you for sharing ❤
I can't stop watching that movie because the music and acting and dancing is so fantastic. Mister Mistoffalees is one of my favorites!
Having Jacob do a commentary for this movie is one of the greatest things I have ever watched!
You never age. You look so good for yourself. You were one of my favorite cats. I really hope that all is going well with you, Jacob

1:06:00 I always was enchanted by that scene! It’s very expensive of a deep intimate level of trust among the Jellicle cats. It’s very heartwarming 🥰

Cool back stage info jacob! Sucks u couldn't have the music playing but understand with copyright stuff u couldn't
Can you please upload this same video but with the full cats movie on the bottom right corner?
Probably not without copyright coming for us. I've tried to upload multiple CATS videos, only to get copyright struck
He could do The Joker, or dr. frankenfurter. With his Mobil face.

Whats with Tugger & Mistophelees's "Thing"
They don’t have a “thing”, it’s just gay-obsessed sad women who think they do.
