I’m blown away this guy hasn’t shown up in my cooking-heavy feed till NOW! 👀 In just TWO videos, I’ve learned not only two hitherto unknown _methods,_ but the _science_ behind them. This is just for OPENERS, kids! 😮‍💨👍
THEN, the _pacing_ of these along with his narrative walkthroughs (planned & contemporaneous) is the BEST pacing for recipe videos, more so than almost any others I watch. ANNNND … last but not least …
He doesn’t cheap out on ingredients or cut corners (at least so far as I’ve seen 🤓). WAY too many channels use deal-breaking words like “easy” and “healthy.” I want _authentic_ methods & ingredients, regardless of all factors BUT the best-tasting result! Yeah, this is an INSTA-SUB! 👏👏🥳👌👍

Fried is the ONLY way to go if you want that restaurant flavor IMHO.
    Love your vids!

I made some other day with steak. Turned out great. Gravy was 2 cups chicken stock, 1/3 cup Hoisin sauce, and the corn starch slurry.
Going to try shrimp egg foo young with your gravy recipe now I have all ingredients.

Pan fried Egg Foo Young has become a go-to lunch. I love it with extra extra gravy. I also add whatever leftovers I have in the fridge like leftover stir fry!
P.S. I'm going to start calling it Egg POO Young now! 😂

The panfried version sold in Big Wong, was served with sweetened soy sauce as with clay pot rice. Can make the soy sauce with cilantro and scallion.

@@Thewoksoflife1 yes, the omelette is made only with roast pork which they do an excellent job at, and scallions.

I'm from Cleveland OH and I loved Egg Fu Yong. There were several restaurants that I would frequent.... I do shrimp ham, imitation crab, and roast pork. Well my husband and I moved to PHX AZ and oh my Goodness! I have no idea what they are doing out here... They're more like pancakes... They are bready. I've tried several different restaurants and they are all the same! I HATE it. So now I have had to wait until I visit home over the last 15 years

Neat to see how it's done "restaurant style" but I'm content with the pan fried method when making it myself. Maintaining enough fat for deep frying is such a pain. Been itching to make egg foo young for a bit now. Problem is if I want to cook anything with sprouts I have no choice but to grow them myself. The grocery stores around here gave up on carrying sprouts because no one buys them 😮

We really admire your dedication to the sprout!
