    I've used the push kick once before and I can tell you that it works, especially between the groin and stomach area. This is a very useful technique to practice into muscle memory. Another gem video.

    Nice, simple and direct with power. I read somewhere the ancient Spartans trained in a similar kick using the whole flat of the foot against shields, body armour etc.
    Good video :)

    Best thing I learned in kick boxing. I’m not that flexible but I love a front kick with the force you can get behind it and to setup after being surprised. Sloppy fighters who are heated will want to rush in. I like this option or a shin kick instead of letting them grab onto you and relying on weak upper cuts, risking falling to ground with them already on top of you.

      @schoolofselfprotection As a practitioner of Okinawan Goju Ryu, the spike elbow shows up frequently in our kata. I used to think it wasn't very practical to attack with an elbow to the body, but your modification to it makes it pretty OP. Thanks for all your great videos! Osu!

    With wall holding, you can strike by using 100% gym workout force which can be much higher than your own weight. Very useful skill.

    Hello sir, I have come across your training recently and find it very interesting - your instruction and intensity is quite welcoming. How would you recommend one to train these tactics on their own? Heavybag, mannequin, or other? I wish to begin practicing and was wondering what approach would be best. Thank you for your time, and consideration.

    I would recommend to use sole of the foot if you do push kick, this way you have more touching area and the push is stronger and you dont hurt the aggressor that much. In case you want to hurt then kick with ball of the foot (snapping kick, pull foot back very fast when pushing kick is longer and goes through) and aim to tolar plexus or liver, that will take breath away basically any aggressor.

    Interesting approach!
    I wonder what you say about low kick? I mean, wearing jeans, not warmed up on the street I imagine to no beeing able to get the leg a high for the kick.
    Therefor, is there a possible way to implement a lowkick? Maybe with a video? Thanks in any case for the contest!

    • @complexblackness
      @complexblackness Месяц назад +1

      Plenty of videos out there on low kicks. You could do this kick to the knees.
      Front kick the shins.
      Look up Goju Ryu low line kicking, etc. Good for the Clinch Also kicking their legs out.
      Also if jeans are an issue, wear loose-fitting jeans.

    Having done karate and Taekwondo I never understood why people always opted for round house and side kicks etc.
    Front kick is fast and very powerful and knocks people clean off their feet.
    Front kick or stomp kick (with the kicking foot turned out slightly) to the knee or shin is brutal.
