Hi Dan I think Putting your Business Thank you Card is Awesome ‼️ and the Mini Firewood Starters Gives a Bonus to your Customers that Wouldn't Normally have Anything to Start There Fire Wood to Start with 👍‼️
I just received my first of two boxes with the firewood rack combo and it is fantastic! The fun factor alone makes it totally worth it to have the WarmBond Mini and your rack and wood. I watched a few (ok, more than a few) of your videos and am jealous of your log splitter that cuts and splits.
Welcome to the channel, glad you found it and are hopefully enjoying the content. The only downside with the mini firewood rack is that once you stack all the wood in it, it almost looks too nice to burn...lol
Nice process Dan. It's especially nice that you have Little Boss Man involved... building great work ethics and spending quality time with your son. It doesn't get any better than that!
Hi Dan. Enjoy all your videos and especially your new mini firewood. Can you please explain your kiln drying process in order to get certification. Do you have your own kiln?
You are far from a hobbyist my man! You sell more wood than some people that do it as a full time job haha. Your e-commerce store for the mini splits is well done, I'm always impressed with your attention to detail and technical aptitude. I'm a software engineer / web application developer and I run a small firewood business on the side. We are cut from the same cloth!! 🤣
You ever get a flat rate box of dug-fir, it will likely be from me. Only 1x2s off the mill, not split LOL. . just to use it on a Friday night show, to be a little different.
Nice glimpse at the backroom packing and shipping process! Thanks for the content. it keeps me thinking about my own processing. QQQ: Need a favor from you, please? I process cherry wood, oak and maple in 20" logs, then down to 10" splits for BBQ/smoker wood. Also do some 5" stuff (from the 10's) for other cooking requirements. We even chop down the 5" lengths (rejects) into 2.5" chunks to make charcoal. *So, now the favor: -We've seen your front end process, receiving lengths, cutting into logs and splitting. -We/ve seen just a little bit of LBM and yourself doing some hatchet work to get down to the mini-wood. -And, now the packaging/shipping. *How about some fancy editing, showing the front end, then a little more detail in the middle, getting from the larger splits, down to the Mini size, then you can add this packaging video to the end, and we would have a Start-to-finish look at the process? My latest process changes: I've put a 14" wood blade on an old metal chopsaw. The idea being, split the 20"s down more thinly, then chopsaw the 10's and 5s into totes. Also, Instead of a hatchet and log, I built two "Kindling Cracker" knock offs, screwed them to logs, and do final splitting that way, it's safer and overall quicker than the hatchet on a log method. Suggestion: Think about upgrading LBM to a Kindling Cracker fixture. On AMZN, just search "kindling splitter" you will see the plethora of choices.
Hi Dan your Very Well Organized Great job Having Maple 🍁 Oak and Cherry 🍒 Mini Firewood Splits 👍 you have to Ware 3 Hats in The Back 40 Firewood One your The Boss 2 For Quality Control and 3 Your The Shipper 👍
QQQ Dan I just Seen you do Weigh your Boxes Full of the Mini Firewood Splits But Does each Different Wood Weigh More than the other like Maple or Oak and Cherry 👍
All the shipping rates are calculated through the program I use online...depending on weight and destination they can vary. I also quote out and compare USPS to UPS and that varies as well depending on where I'm shipping to.
Hi Dan, great job by LBM on picking the oak out of the rest of the cherry. Before long, he'll be a hobbyist, as well. What shipping service do you use? Keep up the great work!
I've thought about it and eventually might start having a few boxes made up ahead of time, but then I might need to expand my space to include a warehouse....lol
$28 and free shipping sure doesn't seem like enough to make decent margins on the product considering all of the time put into cutting, splitting, drying (and paying to kiln dry), coordinating kiln drying, shipping materials, packing, etc. Hope it works out for you!
When compared to other vendors selling on Amazon it may not, but they are also paying a listing fee, a referral fee, and a closing/processing fee to Amazon. I've looked into selling on Amazon and one day I may, but it will also be at a higher price to make up for all the fees.
THAT'S SOME OPERATION YA-GOT THERE ( D ), WHO KNOWS WHAT'S NEXT. MAYBE FULL AUTOMATION. I CAN SEE IT NOW, YOU IN A LAB COAT WITH A CLIPBOARD AND ABACUS. ROBOTIC ARMS SWAYING BACK AND FORTH. A PICTURE ON THE WALL OF YOU ACCEPTING AN AWARD FROM A T-800... OH!!! WAIT!!! SORRY TOO MUCH SUGAR BEFOR BED GIVES ME A BIG IMAGINATION. STAY COOL BROTHER, PEACE...
Not quite how I pictured it...I assumed it would be dark/gloomy lighting, about 120 degrees and just 1 broken fan, and several dozen under feed illegal immigrants working 18 hour shifts. But this way works also!👍👍 I might suggest a top side sticker or stamp for your boxes. 50/50 chance means I have a 100% chance of opening the wrong side!😃
Well the label on the side is right side up to the top and the shipping label is on the top so it sort of defines which way is up. But then again....lol
This was a great idea you came up with. Thanks for sharing. Glad your son likes to help out.
The shake and the jiggle is what makes the difference!! Thanks for taking us along the production line and good to see LBM helping out!

Thanks OG...definitely fun getting the little guy involved. Now to just get to the point where his role is more taking over...hahaha

Great work Dan! Nice to see Little Boss Man helping out.
Dan’s,little sweat shop for shipping small boxes 📦 of tiny wood 😮😊❤

Nice work Dan and boss man. Thanks for taking us along. Take care. At 11 lbs I could be useful. Lol.

Gotta love product extensions! They are a great way to leverage your existing brand and drive sales growth. You are doing it right!

Awesome video Dan,enjoying our mini firewood box..
Hi Dan: Very nice job with the mini firewood. Your presentation is excellent and it shows you care about your product. Great Job 👍
Thanks, appreciate that. I think the small things matter and not just because the wood is small...hahaha
Nice organization, Dan. LBM did a great job packaging as long as you stayed out of the way. The best part is no BW or flying bark lol.
Bill
Good system you guys!!
Eau Claire (WI) was in the Belgian news today because of a Presidential Rallye resulting in traffic jams from your roadside stand to Wolfridge MFG 😹
I enjoyed watching the video
Nice little system going for you, Dan.
Just remember, even Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft all started from a basement or garage. 😉👍
Impressive attention to detail. You can be proud of your finished product.
Thanks...I'm a firm believer in those little details are what matters most.
If you're going to give em small wood give em as much as possible!!
hi there looks like i real nice set up . best to all john
Good video 👍 It's nice to see the attention to detail you use. Nice looking product 😊
Hi Dan it's Great That Little Boss Man has A Great Work ethic 👍‼️

Hi Dan your Very Well Organized Great job Having Maple 🍁 Oak and Cherry 🍒 Mini Firewood Splits 👍 you have to Ware 3 Hats in The Back 40 Firewood One your The Boss 2 For Quality Control and 3 Your The Shipper 👍
Did you ever think your firewood business would have this?
An abundance?😉
QQQ Dan I just Seen you do Weigh your Boxes Full of the Mini Firewood Splits But Does each Different Wood Weigh More than the other like Maple or Oak and Cherry 👍
Yep, Oak weighs the most....Cherry and Maple are a little lighter.
Nice process!! Does the Post Office give you a guide for the postage with the weight?? Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
All the shipping rates are calculated through the program I use online...depending on weight and destination they can vary. I also quote out and compare USPS to UPS and that varies as well depending on where I'm shipping to.
Hello Dan, You Are Definitely a Professional Hobbyist 👏🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
A Pro Ho indeed! Hahahaha
Hi Dan, great job by LBM on picking the oak out of the rest of the cherry. Before long, he'll be a hobbyist, as well. What shipping service do you use? Keep up the great work!
Mostly ship through USPS but I also compare rates with UPS.
@@Back40Firewood Thanks for sharing, Dan.
QQQ Dan do you Weigh the Boxes full of Mini Firewood Splits and Count How Many Pieces Pur Box👍
With the variations in size of the pieces it would probably never be the same number from box to box.
You better start using steel boxes if you’re going to ship with the post office.
I'll bet he uses Amanda's kitchen oven.😊😊
.
Do you ever pre make some boxes of firewood that you only need to ship?
I've thought about it and eventually might start having a few boxes made up ahead of time, but then I might need to expand my space to include a warehouse....lol

Hahahahahaha....I like the automation idea but not sure I could wear a lab coat! 😆

@Back40Firewood It is probably all my years of opening Cracker Jack and cereal from the bottom so I could get the toy first, that is the problem!🤣🤣
