Who should I challenge next? What origami should I create?
Jo Nakashima
With a dragon
Phoenixes and Dragons were always my favourite
shenron
I think you should challenge Mariano Zalava Origami, with an Octopus or a hummingbird
Jo nakashima could be a good rival. Your design style is quite similar so the results could be very interesting.
Also please make this a series or something. I really like this concept. Really a great idea :D
Man, loved both approaches!
How can I say. His design looks better when looking closer, your design looks better when looking from afar.
You made bigger features so your origami looks cooler in general, but if we focus on each part of the model, his origami looks cooler.
I don't think neither won. Each one has a completely different style.
SPOILERS:
So a few days ago, I felt the emotions carried by the papers that Boice and Tadashi used to make their origami phoenixes. Both were in pain as the papers were relentlessly manipulated by their fingers, and hardened by CMC that they carefully applied. It was a difficult process, but the papers were nonetheless satisfied as they looked better than the paper phoenix that appeared in Mulan (2020).
Boice's phoenix actually came from ash that turned into paper, thanks to Boice's sheer willpower, while Tadashi's origami phoenix suddenly appeared out of nowhere, vindicating those who believed in the Spontaneous Generation Theory. Through their creation, each phoenix had their own ideologies, with Boice's phoenix believing that it had a greater and better purpose in life after death, while Tadashi's phoenix believed that there was no purpose at all, and that everyone must simply live life with emptiness and meaninglessness.
Each origami master trained their phoenix with love and care, giving them supplements, rare candies, philosophy books, and their very own Google accounts. Boice's phoenix already had a clear idea of an afterlife, while Tadashi's phoenix was ready to imbibe others with its purposeless existence. With each phoenix properly trained, they were ready to combat each other to prove which ideology was indeed better.
The two masters met near Robert Lang's backyard. They glanced menacingly, and their phoenixes had rage in their eyes. Each master and their respective phoenixes positioned themselves, allowing for them to battle with grace and dignity.
"Are you ready? 'Cause I believe that you're not!" cried Boice.
"I'm never ready, because I don't believe in being ready." said Tadashi.
Both masters nodded with the bare minimum of respect. Robert Lang played battle music, and the battle commenced. In just a few seconds, each phoenix shot massive blasts of pure energy. Both blasts were of equal power, and of complementary colors. A few blasts later, and the masters realized that the two phoenixes were of equal power. Each master did not believe the tie, and were expressing shame as their respective phoenixes could not properly outmatch the other. Feeling the shame, each phoenix was determined not to lose. The phoenixes charged with energy, and became overpowered. Each of their attacks were now über powerful, making collateral damage across the neighborhood.
"Why won't your phoenix die?" Both masters exclaimed.
A few minutes of fighting later, and the two masters were already getting tired. They were exhausted from instructing their phoenixes, but the legendary creatures had no intent to stop until the other one was destroyed.
The masters then heard a menacing chuckle. They were confused as to where it came from. Soon, Robert Lang emerged from the debris.
"Did you really think that each of your phoenixes could destroy the other?" he said in a slow, sophisticated manner.
Both masters recognized the familiar voice. It was not Lang, but rather Jo Nakashima. Jo decloaked himself from his Robert Lang disguise.
"Your phoenixes are merely birds compared to mine!!!" Jo said viciously.
Jo clapped his hands once, and a rainbow colored explosion occurred. He introduced his phoenix, the Nietzche Phoenix.
The Nietzche phoenix believed in living itself, as it took having an afterlife, as well as the overlooming sense of purposelessness with a grain of salt. It knew that focusing on an afterlife and not believing in anything would make you ignore what you have at the moment, something that is worth cherishing.
"Enjoy your absurd lives, while you still have one!" Joe shouted, as the Nietzche phoenix began absorbing the other two phoenixes. The phoenixes screamed in pain, but ultimately realized that accepting their fates meant not having to battle the other for all eternity.
The dust settled, and the two masters looked to each other. They part ways, and leave pondering on what happened to their efforts in folding, and the possible lessons to be learned.
Brilliant summary of the battle 😁
@@EssentialOrigami It was one of the few battles wherein a draw between two powerful individuals did not feel cheesy.
@@OrigamiByBoice If you think this story was mindblowing, just wait till you eventually hear about the time Tadashi challenged Jeremy Shafer to a flasher designing contest, only for both of them to descend into madness as they both made flashers that will cause the end of the universe-with Tadashi making the Big Crunch flasher and Jeremy making the Big Rip flasher. Only time will tell who will make the Big Freeze Flasher, and potentially stop the two. 💥
It is tough to actually make anything this complex in such a short time. Since Boice is more used to folding super complex models, I think this gave him more freedom in terms of complexity. However I really love your aproach as complexity shouldn't be the only aspect that get judged.
My thoughts on this is that your origami is more original. Boices looks stunning and really detailed, but it feels slightly "generic". The one thing that distinguishes his model are the head feathers which looks cool, but other than that it gives me impression he used already existing patterns for the wings and tail.
His origami looks more realistic and natural, but I feel you made it more original and interesting by including the changing colors. I prefer the head of Boices origami and the feathers are more complex and natural, but overall I can't help myself and like your origami more. It just feels more like what I imagine under the term "The phoenix". Good job to both of you and I would absolutely love more battle like this.
I second this
Hm... Boice's origami really is more detailed, but I really loved the general shape and aspect of your origami! I mean, it looks more fun to fold.
Both has a different approach indeed. I prefer your origami tbh, it has a better harmony, with longer tail and good looking features, but for an origami battle people might value complexity a little bit more.
Good to see some love for my origami too, hahaha
You're right, I might have gone with a wrong approach for a battle, but tbf it is really hard to compete against Boice.
Very cool! I especially loved the design and paper distribution diagrams at the beginning. I would love to see a similar diagram at the start of your regular origami tutorial videos so that, as the model is evolving, I can get a better sense for how the starting areas of paper are becoming the final forms.
Yeah, I can do that! Usually I just make them as a way to remember how to fold it later, but it definitely helps to understand the paper distribution better!
Both designs were magnificent! However, Tadashi, your model immediately states a phoenix! Amazing!
Honestly it's not about who won, but rather the fun you both had along the way, and the 2 new Phoenix designs that looks amazing!!! I really hope you show a tutorial on yours because I love models that use both colors, and the color change looks amazing on yours! Also the process of how you designed your phoenix is a really cool concept that I would love to see for models like zekrom and such because it really helps you understand how you can modify a simple base into something complex.
I can't wait for this 1 minute is like 1 day for me now
The color change is soo nice!!! The tail and head really feel like a phoenix. Boice's is amazing and complex, I can't recreate it lol, but it looks a bit more eagle-like to me.
Exactly my thoughts.
Thats because in the ref photos, the phoenix heads look like eagle. Since it is imaginary creatures, I would not always rely on them and change it to something else like dragons head.
Challenge jm origami tutorial and make a bull
I prefer yours. Don't get me wrong you are both super talented. Box pleating gets boring fast and hard to make look organic. I already anticipate yours would have better thickness distribution.
😄 amazing! And such distinctive designs 🙌🏽
I love Tadashi’s playful take on it (a real hallmark of his designs like Boice mentioned)
Equally love Boice’s wings and also the head. The detail is stunning.
Thanks guys 🙏🏽
The two are so cool! Personally, i prefer Tadashi's origami style. But Obb's is excellent as well. Great job you both!
Bro disappeared again
Literally true lmaoooo
@@wafer3690still holds true
He gone again 😢well at least I know there hope u will come back since your videos are amazing
My perspective is if you battle the younger generation, they will go all out. A good idea to also know what they have folded before. I liked the fact that you had the 22.5 approach, and appreciate the result (and also agree with the previous comment that its more fun to fold). This and some of the other method is challenging to me and still trying to understand aspects. It would/take me alot longer to achieve the same result, getting the right flap lengths etc. And I also don't make much. Especially also in a short time (I've done 10 minute ones, its been difficult). I don't think and percieve that fast. Maybe could try someone like Jeremy.
Hm... Totally different levels of designs, i like both.
Beautiful!! I love how he did the tiny details. I also really loved the shape of your origami. The bird shape is perfect, all the anatomy was really there, and good proportions. To me that's the most important part of art. And the HUGE tail is so majestic!!
oh sweet, i never considered the possibilities of an origami battle, and I've gotta say I'm loving it. SO MUCH.
it was a joy watching both your processes, and i found myself smiling wide by the end of the video because of both the final results; so heartfilling.
your videos always bring me such happiness~
His looked more like paper sculpture, yours looked more like classic origami. Both excellent!
I think his is cooler but I think you both made the best origami for each of your channels so like you your said I think you both won
Can u make a tutorial on ur phoenix or maybe sataoshi kamiya's tutorial? As i can follow ur tutorial the best
Honestly I liked Boice's design more as he focused more on complexity but complexity should not be the only judge here although u focused more on general level / not very complex but will look great and your concept of colour change was the best.
The Trump Card (the main weapon) for Boice's Phoenix was complexity as he is pretty good in folding complex models especially humanoid models.
Your Trump Card was high intermediate level and obviously colour change which resembled fire gave you an advantage
U can understand by seeing the CP that Boice's design is more complex but people who are not very familiar with complex models for them ur model will be the best. So, both are from really different aspects. I really liked your model too but if u tell me to choose between the two then I will really vote for Boice's phoenix. I read u will challenge him again and I will be eagerly waiting for that.
BTW will you make a tutorial for ur phoenix model please ???
I liked Boice’s feather detail, and Tadashi’s colour change.
Does Tadashi’s comment of ‘I don’t know who won’ mean he thinks Boice won? 😅
Maybe, lol.
Dude I haven’t seen this channel in years. Your content is still fresh and amazing!❤️❤️❤️
First of all... Thankyou for ALL your origami! I started following you with the rose. Then... regarding this challenge, his origami phoenyx can be cooler, but... for me it's impossible to recreate it. I think your is less complicated, and also a "non-expert" person can be able to replicate it... following your video, of course 😉
Damn both are incredible. I like this idea of battles, any kind of collaboration sounds like a good idea I'd love to see more of.
his origami is cool, and surely more complex /detailed but i think your model/CP look so efficient and smartly designed, the approaches are very different. Is hard to compare, but im biased towards more complex origamis. Thanks for the video!
Já fazem 4 meses, cadê você?
where did u go ? any new uploads soon ?
:(
Top 10 anime battles
Hello, I have a question for you. Can I upload how to fold the Darkness Dragon on my channel?
This is the biggest event of the year! Let’s go! 🔥
Both were amazing!
Although i prefer Jo Nakashima's phoenix to both of these.
simpler, easier and looks better in my opinion
Missing your live streams🤝🙂
Yeah, I need to get back to it!
Dude this is awesome! =-D
I think both phoenixes look good in their own right, one because it's complex and has a lot of details and one because of the color change and the idea of it being on fire, as well as probably being easier for us commoners to replicate (looking forward to the tutorial ;-P) ^_^ Good job to both, you both lose! =-D
Also, here's an idea for an origami: How about some fire for the phoenix to come out of? Jus thinking out loud =-)
Looking forward to the next challenge mate!
yeah challenge Jo Nakashima that might be a cool battle too.... right?😅
This is really cool! I like the detail of yours and how you added more than one color. I would say i like yours better. The other one has a lot of detail, but is one color and kind of boring. So Great job! Could you do venasaur next?
Amazing friend!!
Phoenix is amazing
You win this origami Phoenix design
Congratulations
El diseño de Tadashi parece más un fénix, el otro solo parece un ave normal.
Dónde estás Tadashiiiiii?!
Brah, I think you should add more details on the wings like boice’s but both of yours looks great.
Both are amazing! Apparently the Tadashi’s model is “simple approach”, well, for me it's complex 😅 best regards! 🙌🏻✨
It was simple compared to Boice's approach, hahaha
@@tadashimori I know, but I love your designs ♥️
Tadashi you ate so talented! I admire your creativity. Your creations are always great! 🥰❤️👏👏
Hahaha I love this video! It closes with an ancient super wisdom tip kkkkkkkkkkkk
Make a
Tutorial I can't wait
His origami was cool... But honestly, a phoenix would be way cooler
OBB's was beautiful, but i'm a sucker for color change
Best of luck to both I want both of them to win but it's not possible so hope both the Phoenixes come to life and fight for their owners.
Olá Tadashi, poderia recomendar algum lugar para comprar bons papéis para praticar origami em SP? Procurei, porém não achei nenhum que tivesse em variedade de tamanho e qualidade para modelos mais complexos
Where do you buy tissue foil for complex origami models?
I know this is out of the blue and i know you already have a long origami list but i think an origami xenomorph would be really cool
boice won hands down
You have talent
Hello, good morning, could you do the delorian of going back to the future and the teacher joda in origami please?
Thanks for sharing I really enjoyed this video a lot it was also hilarious too
best of luck buddy
you will win
prove to the world that you are a better origami artist than him
👍👍👍
What happened mate?.you came back from a long break in origami, started uploading tutorials again and everybody was rapped, pleased, glad to see you again.we all missed you so much. What happened now?.you have suddenly stopped again much to everybodise dissapointment.
Prefiero el fénix de tadashi. Se ve como algo que yo podría doblar
Tadashi Mori i moved new to Malaysia and i don't know how to get good paper for complex origami
So tell what the best paper and how to get it
It will be insanely cool 😮
Yours, of course your the Tadishi Mori after all.
Hello Tadashi could you please help me find a tutorial or the modules or the book for Ralph Jones's Colored Ring
Tadashi I love your work so much but OBB won by miles 😭
Hahaha, yeah, I think so! Maybe I should go for a more complex approach next time!
His origami really has way more details, it looks really cool.
I like to make designs with less complexity. Well, let's challenge him again later!
I feel like instead of trying to beat OBB in compexity which he has more experience, you should try to make your own distinguishable style. His models looks really awesome but if you can add more features and work on shaping, you don't need to add compexity at all.
I'd happily learn both.
Hello! I'm Brazilian and I was very surprised to see your highlighted quote from a sentence by former President Dilma Rousseff. At the time, this phrase was widely used as a joke and ridiculed by many Brazilians. The president had little approval among the population and this was also very manipulated by opponents of the government and the media. Today we live in a much worse political moment. Missing lighter times in Brazil.
Pls make the tutorial for this!it looks so cool
Can you make tutorial on it
Good video. Please make a video tutorial how to make an original origami again
Omg origami battle!!1!1!1!1!1111
Tadashi espalhando a sabedoria da nossa querida ex presidenta com o mundo lá fora 🤣 amei os dois modelos, o seu foi muito mais abstrato mas com as duas cores até parece com algum pokémon. Enfim ótimo trabalho os dois! 😄
Where did you go friend?❤
wow 멋져요👍👍👍👍👍
Where can buy 65 cm paper
I think your desing would have won because of the distribution but the lack of detail and face is his wealest point, i didnt like the distribution of the other one it doesn't have the form of a bird
Can u make a video of your origami phoenix pls.
speaking of a Pheonix could you make a tutorial for one?
Please make sun conure bird
Já tentei de todas as formas entender como criar mas não entendo nada dessas linhas aí da mais em inglês kkkkk.
Can you please show me how to fold your phoenix?
Tadashi, will you ever come back?
Where are u now!
Its a bit weird but i saw that origami in my dream a year ago..... deja vere i think?
Tadashi, where did you go :(...
I think o b B1
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Time tadashi mori!!
Foi vc mesmo que curtiu minha publicação de um dragon do tamanho de uma moeda ?
I'm sorry but Obb won this won, although his kinda reminds me of Satoshi Kamiyas just improved the idea kinda thing.
Don't be sorry, there is no shame in losing to Boice!
@@tadashimori Yes but you are my teacher and I hate to admit it but his one does look nice. Yours reminds of a Phoenix you folded years ago of some viewer who won a design competition you were running on your channel
Tada🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥✌️
Kan you make a tutorial with your phoenix 😅😅😅😅😅
Please make more pokemon
Sir could you please make origami of bitbeast please please please
For me it’s a tie
Dilma Rousseff foi demais kkkk
The level is high.
Imagine using box pleating.
