I have the Converse Chuck Taylor 2 Nubuck Black Boots and I must say that it is super comfy and I pretty used them frequently. Also, I keep on cleaning them after a month or two depending on the condition of the shoes. Though durability wise, after a year, I noticed a loosening of adhesive on the right side of my shoe. Then eventually, the leather has a small tear revealing the inner cover that looks like an insulator maybe. I sent them to a shoe repairman and asked them to sew the side and it pretty held up until now. But the leather is slowly tearing. I really do wish that they have a Wide size because my feet are somehow a little bit wider than the shoes. But hey, they are pretty stylish. Been using them in almost all of my outfits. I hope they can manage to improve the durability so that it can last longer. Quite an investment on those boots but still worth it overall. 👍🏻

*Great review. Chuck 70 is much better, IMHO... love the low top in Parchment and low top in Black and white as well as the High top for the Fall/early winter for fashion purposes, for me: ) Why is it that Chuck 70 are only available at Converse store outlet or online and none at department stores but the All Star?*
Tight converse are the worst thing to use when lifting heavy weights! The toe box is waaaaaaaay to thin. Your toes don’t splay and not only does that reduce balance, but it also causes toes to turn inward and bunions and bone spurs and all sorts of foot, leg, sciatic, back, and basic body problems to occur. If you want to deadlift, barefoot or barefoot shoes are best. I mean, if you’re into muscles, why reduce the ones in your feet with your shoes? Don’t you want your feet to be as strong as they can be as well? Stop putting your feet into straight jackets just because someone who didn’t know what they were talking about gave you bad advice when you were young. Converse have small toe boxes. If you insist on wearing them, just do it for fashion and wear them a half size to a full size larger so your toes can splay when walking.
Rahardi Setiawan I own a bunch of Chucks. I like leather Chucks but eventually there is separation between the leather and the upper part of the sole. I do like the look of the Chuck 70's over the original.
From my experience, The toe box is extremely super duper narrow. My feet can fit into a 8.5 shoes, 9 for dress shoes, 9.5 for nike air and in a pair of 9.5 chuck 70, it is a torture after 5 mins of walking.
Also depends on canvas versus leather, and always try check the box for size as some places mix up US & UK sizing and some models differ in sizes for men & women, though the common colours are commonly marketed as unisex.

How losng does they last if i wear them on daily basis coz most of the converse u bought always gets tore form the side where i fold my feets while sitting crouching

@@Stridewise they actually have different ages because I collected them over time, so the oldest, witch is 7 years old, i used to wear almost every day in the first 2 years, for me they are the most durable shoes I ever had, maybe because I'm quite young and that's the first time a shoe had the opportunity to grow old with me, but yeah
I always buy two pairs, at a time, black and navy. I’ve been doing that for 15 or 20 years. They are what they are and obviously I like them but I’ve always had one gripe. The laces are insanely long!

As ayoung kid in Canada I wore Hi-Top copies, you couldn't get Cons yet. Then Adidas came in and it's all anyone wore until the punk years, when Converse Its became really big again. But I've almost alway had a pair of Jack Purcells in the closet that I wear once in a while, they are kind of the sleeper of classic sneakers, ultimate cool because they never got real popular, but really stylish lines unlike the slightly goofy Chucks. You should try a pair once to change up, especially now that all white sneakers are so popular. They offer a bit more support than Chucks without getting squishy.
Jack Purcells are solid sneakers too! "Slightly goofy Chucks" is a great way to describe them. I used to wear Converse One Stars a lot when I was a teenager but I couldn't go past the classic style of the Chucks.
They are nice, good casual shoes but they have hardly any support, not very protective either, just cloth sewed onto a large heavy rubber outsole. They look really nice however, and like he said Chuck 2s are always an option.

@@Stridewise They differ from year to year, but here are some "all weather" high tops on the site: www.converse.com/shop/p/chuck-taylor-all-star-waterproof-leather-high-top-unisex-boot/162409C.html?dwvar_162409C_color=black%2Fblack%2Fblack&styleNo=162409C&cgid=mens-high-top-shoes

They are cheap, casual shoes that are timeless. They are perfect for what they are.
Exactly, Mark
Johnny knoxville is notorious for wearing nothing but converse, I don't think I've ever ever seen him wear anything else, he even wears them with suits on red carpets
Haha yeah I went to a wedding recently where the groom and groomsmen all had different colored Chucks on.
The insoles actually do have a slight increase in height at the heel but not enough to make much of a difference
what model of chucks are the ones you’ve tried cleaning? they seemed to be more low profile than the regular ones?
They're just low top Chucks, they have both.
Okay thanks Nick, I really dig how slim looking they are
@@mishaeldomingo7636 You got it Mishael!
For cleaning you can use regular dish soap and a nail brush
Dish soap for whitening the rubber? No you need something more complicated
@@Stridewise absolutely not, especially for chucks
*Great review. Chuck 70 is much better, IMHO... love the low top in Parchment and low top in Black and white as well as the High top for the Fall/early winter for fashion purposes, for me: ) Why is it that Chuck 70 are only available at Converse store outlet or online and none at department stores but the All Star?*
Are you interested in doing a comparison between the regular and 70s chuck taylor?
Love the video as always.
Xu Tian I own both. I like the way the 70's look and feel. But I must own 20 pairs.
For sure, that's on the docket!
is the extremely worn black converse low an allstar classic? I can't seem to find that kind of converse :(
Tight converse are the worst thing to use when lifting heavy weights!
You need to find chucks 70s/jack purcell with leather material, is more durable and look more dressy that the others chucks
Rahardi Setiawan I own a bunch of Chucks. I like leather Chucks but eventually there is separation between the leather and the upper part of the sole. I do like the look of the Chuck 70's over the original.
Yeah I definitely need to try those out! Thanks for the tip.
From my experience,
The toe box is extremely super duper narrow.
My feet can fit into a 8.5 shoes, 9 for dress shoes, 9.5 for nike air and in a pair of 9.5 chuck 70, it is a torture after 5 mins of walking.
Great point!
Also depends on canvas versus leather, and always try check the box for size as some places mix up US & UK sizing and some models differ in sizes for men & women, though the common colours are commonly marketed as unisex.
Khánh Vũ fuck you have a small foot you must be really short i feel for ya
Stridewise,
PLEASE REVIEW the Iron Heart 888s (first and foremost) due to our similar builds. Also, would love to see you in a Carmina Shell Cordovan jump boots, light brown!
Oooh. Can I review another pair of Iron Hearts? Shouldn't I go through other brands first? But it IS stupid hard to get jeans that fit my body type so maybe I will go with Iron Heart! Thank you for the recommendation, let me know the best fits for our weird bodies in other Japanese brands :)
Hey my patch of that says: Converse chuck taylor all star is fading tip how to fix
How losng does they last if i wear them on daily basis coz most of the converse u bought always gets tore form the side where i fold my feets while sitting crouching
Eh a year, two max
What did you do inside those sneakers ?
What do you mean
I have a 7 years old all star that I use at least once a week, for me they are amazingly durable, I have 5 pairs, one for each day of the week :v and I'm very confident they will be with me for the years to come due to their conservation state
5 pairs 7 years old? So over a year of daily wear each. That's impressive! Mine never last more than 2 years usually not much more than 1
@@Stridewise they actually have different ages because I collected them over time, so the oldest, witch is 7 years old, i used to wear almost every day in the first 2 years, for me they are the most durable shoes I ever had, maybe because I'm quite young and that's the first time a shoe had the opportunity to grow old with me, but yeah
does it matter if I get the high or low tops
try 3 stars (70s) with gore tex . they should last way longer
yeah the 70s are getting a lot of hype!
Not sure I have ever had a pair. My girls like them. Thanks for something different and the info.
Glad you liked it Robert!
Oh man, if you like regular Chucks this much you need to try out the 70's. They make it a an actual comfortable shoe in my opinion.
Yeah I'm definitely going to do a video on them!
I always buy two pairs, at a time, black and navy. I’ve been doing that for 15 or 20 years. They are what they are and obviously I like them but I’ve always had one gripe. The laces are insanely long!
I'm looking to get a pair and may leave the top eyelet and tie the laces around the ankle. IDK if that helps with your situation since its exclusive to hi tops
I only wear my converse when I am going out nice or something like that but I don't wear them much because I want them to last and I only wear a old pair of shoes a lot more if you see what I mean
No mention that Nike owns Converse?
I mentioned it in the written review but yeah, guess I didn't find it super important for the video
I state that because my uncle works for the Converse division of Nike...he keeps sending me Chucks...lol at last count, I have 75 pair of them...
Nope. No mention. I"ll take any extra converse off your hands, Larry. Size 9.
so if I have super flat feet i shouldnt get em?
Are they narrow if you go lettle bigger that it gets long
One things that nobody mentions - they are super slippery! Like extremely dangerously slippery. Especially on flat floor tiles and wet metal.
Love the look until I get them on. 13 is to big 12 to tight. no half sizes that big as with most companies. Make my feet look huge! I stick to Vans for canvas shoes, they look much better in larger sizes.

Thanks a ton dude
How to stop the toe bruises these shoes give?
I haven't ever gotten any. Maybe yours are too small?
@@Stridewise no i wear that size with my ucb as well. But i think the shoe will loosen a little after a few walks. I love the shoe so much though. Thanks for replying.. :')
The best ever all star.. love
I put them in the wash machine with some detergent and let them dry on the balcony.
what kind of watch is that dawg?
i just bought them yesterday and same color. my pinkie toes are killing me
They do last long, I powerlifted in a pair for about 7 years
Well yeah but standing still and lifting in a shoe is different to running around in them all day
might be late
may i ask that theres a star on o logo is it original?
Yes the star is on the logo and comes with the shoe
Got some black High tops today for $40!
Nice buy!
Who likes the white versions better
They are nice, good casual shoes but they have hardly any support, not very protective either, just cloth sewed onto a large heavy rubber outsole. They look really nice however, and like he said Chuck 2s are always an option.
Yep that's about right!
I just wear a black converse chuck one
