Gotta wonder what would make you think it was a good idea to try this on your favorite shoes... You're not supposed to learn on things that you actually want to keep
There's a big difference between water marbling and hydro dipping. Hydro dipping uses a transfer sheet that is printed. They hydro dip car parts, helmets, etc not water marble. Sam you're water marbling
I hope this helps: (Also I'm not an expert soo.. take it at that. :/) 1.) DON'T go fast, you're supposed to go slow as to not get wrinkles or imperfections. It also helps to keep the pattern intact. 2.) Try mixing a filler color to separate the main two. Like: using long sprays of yellow then shorter fillers of black, then a long spray of blue. Doing this helps make the base colors POP more. 3.) Fabric is not really the best suited for hydro dipping; plastics are usually the most commonly used material for this. 4.) Fully submerge the object being dipped then swish it around, doing so helps to get the excess paint away from your object so that you don't mess up the dip when pulling it out of the water. 5.) Try gluing or stapling the fabric to, thin-but-solid, pieces of wood (or other hard surface) to make slow dipping them easier. (THIS IS NOT FACT, JUST AN IDEA) Have fun, and I hope to see more Hydro-dipping attempts in the future. :D
Hey Sam... You should do circles with the spray paint in the water... You should alternate the colors...but it turned out really well... Keep it up.... 👍👍👍
No. I scream "LEARN TO SEW". If I could learn when I was literally 3 years old there's no reason why she can't learn in her 20's. It would make her projects come out a million times better.
I too wished the pockets were sewed back on (after reading these comments) lol but honestly, the hot gluing is iconic and I probably would've done the same as someone who can't sew/knows it would take me (someone who can't sew) ages to do lol
I always thought warm water was key to this kind of thing, but maybe I'm wrong? Last time I did something like this, it was a student activity at my college. They used warm water, drops of nail polish, and the patterns were supposed to go on plain white ceramic coffee mugs. I think that hydro-dipping clothes might be a little different though. I like the results you got with the shoes, kind of reminds me of wavy tiger stripes and splotchy camo.
So I finally ended watching every single video on tt. This took 3 days for me to watch every single video, and now I understand the build up from video 1 to this video. Thanks for being my and every other fans' entertainment
I was like "This is gonna be another disaster..." but I really liked it. Loved the hat and the shoes!!!! :D I know I will be trying out this myself in the near future. Get me some cheap white hats, shoes and stuff, and just go at it :D Looking forward to the next video :D :D
I've done a very similar thing called water marbling! Instead of spray paint, you use nail polish. Worked really well for mugs. (Especially the handles and bottoms)
I was watching this so excited for it and I didn’t even realize it was today’s news video I’m still waiting for it to come out and I watching it yeah that happened
I think a hat is difficult to do. Going in slowly, think you may have needed more pain. Don't move around while the product is in there that's the reason you're getting clunky bits. I think the sleeves will come out better and of course shoes are a go to when it comes to hydro dipping. We 100% need a second attempt In the future. Maybe something for each base?? Pretty solid attempt, love this idea and you trying different things. That really is trendy.
Was that plasti dip paint ?. That completely the wrong way to dip, you need hydro dipping ink or the hydro dipping sheets to get the results they get, plus the water needs to be heated to stop reactions. Please do a second video plus you can hydro dip your nails.
Soooooo water marbling
CrIsTiNeS wOrSt NiGhTmArE
Salma Omer omg yes😂
MY EXACT THOUGHT
😂😂😂😂
This sounds like a cooler but harder version of tie-dying.
Exactly!..
You mean water marble
Yeah... or tie-dying
I find it easier
I feel like a seam ripper would be very handy for a decent amount of the diys.
I love how sometimes you just randomly see old dope or nope things.
Yaaaaas
i hate that she hot glued stuff back together instead of ripping the seams and sewing back together
ya
I tried this before... and now my favorite shoes are in the trash
Oh noes!😰
Gotta wonder what would make you think it was a good idea to try this on your favorite shoes... You're not supposed to learn on things that you actually want to keep
yeaa.....im not a smart kid. but they were just white converses, I just bought them again.
Why Not Wool Scrub Them?
Why is this loved
Sewing lasts longer and makes stronger seams, you really should sew the jacket. 🧵🧥
THANK YOU. Time to graduate from kindergarten crafts and make stuff she can actually use and enjoy...
As a seamstress, I'm cringing at the hot gluing instead of actually sewing...
Ikr she's always been doing that.
She's new to all this stuff
Eh she did say if it turns out bad she'll just rip it. She won't go that extra mile unless it's good
Isiah Kwan True but she’s also been new to it for a while now
Same. And I'm just a guy who learned basic sewing as a kid, and never really lost it. just have people throw their clothes at when they tear them. Lol
did anyone notice CJ had spray paint cans on his shirt.
11:09 😂😂😂 Michael's reaction
Hey Sam! I know this is not a Disney princess, but you should spend the day as Wonder Woman and maybe even test out a few myths!
The ending was the best 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽🤣🤣🤣👍🏽 just loved the energy

Good job Sam, I want those everything ❤️
Hydro dipping isn't as easy as you think... but A for effort. For best dips, need dipping film, activators, and coating.
YES! That's why so many people are are having trouble with it on RUclips! All these DIYers making How to videos but not having all of the steps! 🤦🏼♀️
I too wished the pockets were sewed back on (after reading these comments) lol but honestly, the hot gluing is iconic and I probably would've done the same as someone who can't sew/knows it would take me (someone who can't sew) ages to do lol
