It’s machine spirit and that battle tank that went on to launch a one man . . . One tank war against a ork *WHAAAAG!* after the orks took out the crew would get along, it fought till it had no ammo or treads and even lured in the xeno then locked itself and filled itself with gas to destroy the abominations after that the orks left it alone.. It was found later on and restored so it can help humanity destroy more of the foul xeno. I like to think the ghosts of the crew aided by the machine spirit and a little bit of light from old big E allowed for this to happen. It could make a good little series imo.
@@Dave-bd2eoehhh even those are usually destroyed after a centuries and replaced by more 'fitting' regimes by the imperium. Remember, it isnt called the worst regime imaginable for nothing, any world that might have an ounce of fair rule is usually bulldozed over and replaced by one that better suits the imperium's interests.
@@Dave-bd2eo pretty sure the Imperium is against the concept of democracy. The Blood Raven's homeworld was devastated because of democracy. Plus, it would be problematic for an empire that requires authoritative loyalties from its worlds to allow democratic governance. A planetary ruling dynasty seems easier to be controlled than a constantly shifting democratic government
Those, who don't know: this machine piloted itself, it's a will of the Emperor. Those, who know: listen, I know you don't like us for what we did and you only listen to that scaly bastard under surface of Mars, but today we have a common enemy.
I love stories about Machine Spirits waking up and protecting it's people. Like the Rynn's Might, this, and such. I want to see an Iron Hands successor chapter be founded, and they encourage their Machine Spirits to wake up, and then treat them as if they are one of their own. It would be so wholesome and emotional to see an Astartes take a blast that would otherwise destroy a Landraider or something, not just for those inside, but for the vehicle itself. Or their training including "Correct ways to die", where if an an Astartes/Machine Spirit is absolutely sure it will die, it will do so in a manner that protects other Astartes/Machine Spirits, i.e. An Astartes about to have a hole blown thru his chest will move his gun out of the way to protect it's MS. A gun or a vehicle left behind is a brother left behind, a gun or a vehicle destroyed is a brother dead. They would fight harder on the worlds they defend/attack because they have more to lose, and there aren't any disposable units.
Very cool concept, I'd recommend a self-destruction module on equipment and astartes as well to prevent capture though. The enemy looting so much undamaged equipment would be quite devastating.
My canis rex on table top has only been used 3 times and everytume my shooting never goes well but my melee and death always exsploades and takes out many enemys with him lol
Canis Rex brings honor to its name, it truly is a good boy.
Their boy was in danger, and canis was like, "GIVE ME BACK MY PILOT AND ILL GIVE YOU A MODERATELY QUICK AND PAINLESS DEATH!!!

Imperium is far mpre decentralize than you think, outside of paying tilthe and not rebelling, your planet is practically free

Canis Rex's machine spirit and throne Mechanicum just beep booped and said "Fuck it. We ball." And then Rex'd all over those IW.

Adeptus mechanicus freaking out at the fact an AI managed to pilot a knight without a human connection. Praise be to the omnisiah.
yeah, knights have to have a pilot, and the pilots are fused into the knight. Like, huh!?!?

Machine spirits can operate by themselves.
As dark as 40K is. It's also got some of the most badass Marines ever.
I might need to build a canis rex now, that story is badass
"to find a war they couldn't win for the imperium" damn that's based.
I just wish we knew more of this character, I always loved this dynamic he has with his Knight!
Sir Hector Cerberine must be annoyed that he always has to look to his left. I bet he shot or wants to shoot whoever installed his bionic eye.
There needs to be a Canis Rex book
