Very cool system... Just picked up my second M-10x and am very excited. Your post regarding you system have been instrumental in me choosing similar gear. I presently have the Yamaha C-5000 and was highly considering the C-10x, but just got the Yamaha and am totally enamored by the M-10x let alone a second coming. So I think I should be good for the next decade... Appreciate you posting good information regarding these products and the Luxman line. I am coming from JC1+ amps which are exception, but a single M-10x does outshine the JC1+. Not that JC1+ are lacking in anything (they're not) but the M-10x does everything better... Yes everything. It's one of the few moments where "I hearing things I've never heard before" in familiar recording all due to the M-10x (Shunyata cables and power cords). Thanks again and keep on posting!

Sigma V2 NR for my M900U made a huge leap in performance. I did not believe it until I heard it. What did a second M-10X bring to the table, and do you have 4 or 8 Ohms loudspeakers? (Specs are only for 8 Ohms loudspeaker on the luxman website) Cheers

@@AudiolandCH I have both 4 and 8 ohm speakers and feel the M-10x alone is enough, I would've been better off getting the C-10x over a second amp, but paired it with a Yamaha C-5000 instead. I have yet to relocate my F704 to see how they are with the M-10x, right now it's with my Sopra No. 3's and I've had a single M-10x with my L-100 75's and B&W 705 S3. I'm feel that 4 ohm speakers that are 90 DB or lower is where the M-10x shines most. I had the JC1+ to A/B against the M-10x and more warmth from the M-10x and ethereal high frequency transients. This may sound cliched, but the M-10X would give the silence between notes and presence. It's a great amplifier.

@elgingaragegym so you have m10x in mono but not the c10x? I think the c10x would make a huge jump for you! The synergy of the c900u and m900u is already incredible, will be same better with 10x!

@@AudiolandCH Nope, have the Yamaha C-5000 preamp. But I like it also, and it has a good phono stage with XLR inputs for my XLR out TT and MC cartridge. If I had the C-10x I would've been regretting not getting the second M-10X... You know how that goes with this hobby 😂

Luv to know how u connect the c-10x to 2 m-10x and to speakers 😊 (the output mode on c-10x is unbal, bal, or bi-amp ? ) (on m-10x btl mode or stereo ? ) thx

      Hey Aaron,
The C-10X is balanced out to the two M-10X in BTL mode.
I’ve also tried vertical and horizontal bi-amp but found btl offers more impact on the low end.
The M-10X is rated at 150W/8ohms and 300W/4ohms in stereo. However, in BTL mode, the power rating quadruple to 600W/8ohms and 1200W/4ohms. My speakers are 4ohms and can dip to 2ohms so they can benefit from the power when needed.

Thx highly appreciate the reply, I have the same set up (connect d10x to c10x by jpc-15000) (c10x to two m10x by two jpc-15000 leave one end empty for each jpc-15000) (two m10x using btl mode to each of my sopra 2 speakers) my dealer told me for the best result is to use bal from d10x to c10x and bal output1 and 2 from c10x to each of the m10x and m10x use stereo to speakers if the speakers can be biwire.

Right. I’ve briefly tried bi-amping in both horizontal and vertical configurations. By the time I’ve wired up each configuration, my brain was too exhausted and already forgotten how the previous configuration sounded like. Unless I have someone who knows how to wire the different configurations for me and I’m blind folded to have a true A,B, and C test, I’ll always question whether if the different sound I heard was just in my head or not.
Simply put, I’ve stopped chasing for that extra 2-3% improvement(if there’s any) and just spending more time discovery new music.
M-10X in BTL is the way to go for me. Enjoy the music.

@@thisisme999 What changed going to Mono? I think I could use mono aswell for my SF Lilium, they like alot of power so 1200W/4ohms would be insane. But imo its better to first go from M900U to M-10X and C900U to C-10X then going for mono M900U.

That’s the path I would go as well. M-900U to M-10X is a big improvement especially on the low end. C-900U to C-10X with the M-10x brings out the extra details and widen the soundstage. M-10X in mono is pretty minor in the deep end and in some recordings, probably can’t even distinguish the difference. But it’s nice to have all that power on hand and knowing that when you change out the speakers, you won’t have to think about your amps.

Get rid of the center. No need for it, center imaging to good already with stereo.
