This video has been very helpful for me but I was confused from 3:50. The last case is on March 15th and counting back the maximum incubation period led me to March 10th instead of March 8th? If you had time to answer this it would be appreciated!
Hi justsophia. Continue on the video to time 3:56. The person that shows up ill on March 15 is an outlier. They probably got it from one of the other ill people. If one of the ill people prepared food or beverages without properly washing their hands after using the restroom, they can transmit the bacteria to another person. Since we only wanted to find out when the original group of people were exposed (so that we could interview them and find out where they were exposed), we do not want to count this outlier (they most likely did not get it from the original source).
