      I don't think anybody is against helping, I think people are against emotional manipulation to try to achieve a particular policy goal. The majority of migrants to EU are not from Syria.

      +MarcQuébec but we're talking about "refugees", not people

      +Joseph Gordon Yes I ask think that the emotional manipulation with sad music and stuff is too much, but I people give money, why not? How I see the situation is that Nord America and Europe look like a castle and africa like the peasant. We have two choice to give them security/better life: 1- to build them castles (but we are too focus on ourselft for that), 2- to let them in. How can we be mad againts them if they want to live in a castle like we have? You know how to solve the crisis? We just have to give them security and education to their countries and it will stop!

      +SUPER CANCER so they are what? good persons? I am pretty sure they know more about the respect of each others than you.

      +MagicSnake83 They only want a better life. They have two choice: to stay or go in europe to have a better life. they are not stupide, they want the same quality as our. If we help their countries they will stay. You make me laugh, you say European genocide,but how many time european did genocide in Africa, how many time white european did genocide in europe and in their own country? Way more than we can even imagine.

      Hmmm who is creating all these problems now that is the question. Who wins who looses who benefits what's the point where does it all go. Remember Voltaire you can't question the real power and who pray is the real real power.

    As my late mother used to say an immigrant stops being an immigrant when an immigrant becomes your friend. RIP Mum. Her former disabled carer.

      Alice F.L Ugh.. Have you seen saudi arabia? If you're a women you can't even drive a car or be in a room with men or if you are gay well then its lights out. If you are not muslim its lights out. I mean you are talking about saudi arabia and people that seek refuge. If you were attacked and had to choose to flee to a country would you choose Saudi arabia?

    • @TheHamiod
      @TheHamiod 8 лет назад

      Alice F.L ehh no. yeah Saudi arabia is better than living under assad tight now but its not that much better. And just because they speak the same language doesnt make it easy and their culture isnt that much the same. Whatever if you think sending people to saudi arabia is a good idea you can have that idea. just know that Saudi arabia does more beheadings than Isis.

      @TheChosenTidus 8 лет назад +1

      you are so wrong about Saudi Arabia, but you are right about a being gay "in public".
      but being non-muslim or a woman with men at work it's ok, about driving a car, you are right..
      but it's about time that women will be able to drive.

    What is shocking to me: that you can make a video like this and then endorse someone like Hillary Clinton, a neo-con hawk who voted for the wars that created this mess.

This is clearly heartbreaking and very emotional and very inspiring by one of the best movie actor and his Wife coming to welcome a Family who witness a brutual Civil war. I My self Is Lebanese and as Amal said I witness the Lebanese civil war and I know how those Family feel like to live in a war committed by those Savage DAESH ISIS headchoppers. not a lot have come here to Ireland. we had an economic building boom that ended in 2008/9, lasted less than 10 years. Now we have ghost housing estates, nationwide, whole groups of houses unfinished, abandoned, but most are roofed and plastered. There is a housing crisis in Dublin and dumbass government want to build more houses, 60,000 in the next few years. its very centralised, don't care very much about everywhere else other than Dublin. should do up those houses and bring life back to the rural, abandoned areas. the way the refugees live in those camps, looks dehumanising, could move into these ghost estates, do up the houses, even if the banks now own the house s and estates. the refugees always end up in cities and large towns but never rural areas, living in high rise apartments, on benefits, sounds kind of shut really, even though they have each other

    I don't think as he says, the Irish were treated as badly as he says. Most of the immigrants during that time were either Irish or Italian immigrants. I totally understand that these people need help. I feel really bad for them, as a Christian, but I don't understand why on earth their Arab neighbors, the ones speak their language, fellow customs, etc. don't take in, welcome in their own people??? That's also a huge tragedy to not help those in need.

    • @estellewinters8502

      All due respect, (not really because your ignorance is glaring) study up on history. The Irish were despised. Denied employment and housing. Not to mention the violence against them. They weren't even fleeing, war. It was famine and disease and their English landlords still demanded rent and taxes. They were Catholic and this was a "Christian" nation that hated them based on the mere notion that they worshiped God over Jesus. Seriously. My mum was a Genealogist. Now, everyone loves the Irish, and even non-Irish celebrate an Irish holiday and drink green beer and wear green on St Patrick's day. Safe bet, most people don't know what that day is beyond a good excuse to put green food coloring in beer or Drink a mint green shake from McDonald's. Most Arab nations fear reprisal but again, do your research. Jordan has taken in over 1.3 billion. and they are the closest neighbor to Syria in the Levant. ISIS used to be the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, now it's ISIL Islamic State in the Levant... (Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and Egypt). Israel, took in thousands of wounded children only and provides humanitarian aid but can't take in refugees because Iraq would have a perfect excuse to bomb them into oblivion. You say "I feel really bad for them, as a Christian but..." There are no "Their own people," They are human beings, for F**k sake! Why say "as a Christian", then follow it with a "but"? That should have been the end of the sentence. Full stop. Religion and language should not supersede basic human decency. I hope you have evolved a bit more over the past 2yrs since you made your comment. If I'm not mistaken, Your last name is Romanian. Plagued with genocide and communism... What brought your family's ancestors to a Christian nation?
