    You're a genius Sir. I spent a lot of time trying different tensions before I got it right for me. So I thought I'd check my oedal against your method and sure enough my pedal is exactly the same as you describe here. 👏🏼

    • @derekmaynard5619
      @derekmaynard5619 7 месяцев назад +1

      It looks like they only weighed one foot in the video. I'd say adjust both to the same tension.

    • @ArtOfDrummingHQ
      @ArtOfDrummingHQ  6 месяцев назад

      Adjust both using the same method. But this will give you lighter spring tension on the left slave pedal of a double pedal because most slave pedals have more resistance due to the connecting shaft rod. Hence both sides will not be the same tension, if you want to use equal force for both pedals.

    • @ArtOfDrummingHQ

      Neutral. The 2 finger spacing is just a rough idea. The weight support concept is important. Tweak to your pedal and experiment a bit!

      @@ArtOfDrummingHQ OK, well, I was just wondering.... When I keep my ankles neutral (no tension at all), I don't see any difference in beater-angle when I loosen or tighten the springs...
