    Shid, I understand why Beyonce so inaccessible and private. If i received constant, unnecessary criticism for EVERYTHING I do, I wear, I say, I eat, my child wear, my partner do, etc, I’d barely ever interact with ngas. Period bey.

    We’ve become way too accessible to artists now. Me personally I feel like that’s why the music doesn’t stick like it used to. I mean a hit is a hit but I remember before social media I was always excited to hear from my favorite artists but THROUGH THE MUSIC. Now it’s to a point where I can look up my faves just to see what they’re doing on Instagram Facebook X etc etc. there’s no more mystery anymore and that’s what use to make artists intriguing.

      I think getting to and older age you understand stuff more clearly and your using social media now compared to when your were 8 so you look at them differently

    The thing I hate about social media is that a lot of people can’t even handle the hatred they throw at people online. People will say the most vile things but let them see you in person

    I think this will be a growing trend that goes broader than just celebs, more and more people are starting to realise that a lot of social media is just becoming digital asylums.

    I could do without I’m ole skool, so I remember not seeing artist until they popped out with a new album or single. The anticipation was everything from the single release to the video premiere it’s was rare to be that caught up in they lives and all chitter chatter happening now.❤❤❤❤

    Tbh i don’t blame her, i deleted my twitter and IG about two to three years ago. I can’t really remember it’s been so long. Social media is too toxic and it’s not as free as it used to be. Everyone cares about being perfect and popular. I think it’ll be a good idea for someone to run her page and just make it a business page. I agree, I’m just here for the new music and save all the drama for the music!

  • @MakeLuvWorldWide
    @MakeLuvWorldWide 19 дней назад +11

    Great, we’re witnessing the fall and restructuring of celebrity culture right before our eyes. With this hyper activity and increasing access to virality, such spaces that historically have been harder to get in are now oversaturated. True stars and real artists are going to have to and naturally find ways to evolve and exist beyond the tropes of social media.

  • @southerngurlit

    I might join Ari. I’m already half way there, cuz SM is a self killer. And the celebrities that are the most active (Cardi ) just be on some annoying goofy stuff. And ones like Beyoncé are popping up just to capitalize and promote some product. I believe ppl just want their minds back.

    Back in 2019, I would sit in my mom’s car on my way to 8th grade listening to RnB and Ari was never an artist I cared for. I graduated back in March and Ari’s music truly has been there for me with songs like Up Late, Chocolate Pomegranate, Chicago Boy, Whipped Cream, and more have come in a time of guidance and self-discovery. Because of her, I was able to dive into neo-soul and expand more I pray she doesn't lose interest in music

  • @DamienHurts

    I think some of these musicians need to take a page out of Alexa Demie's book and take some space between them and their instagram accounts. I HATE that trolls managed to get Ari crying on live. I wish she hadn't done that, showing them weakness, but damn, I love Ari, she's so unproblematic and just living her best life through her music. There was a time when she was going on live too much, so i think this is a good time for her to be a little more under the radar. Get a rep to post on her socials

  • @lunarblake

    the problem is also fans nowadays thinking they’re managers or a&r’s, thinking they can dictate their fave artists careers, hair, who they date etc. so not only do they have to be worried about being criticized from haters but their own fans. i for one miss doja online. i miss her lives, but now unless she wears a wig it doesn’t matter what she does people are going in on her saying the same lame lies and insults. sucks that things have gotten this bad, i don’t blame most of them not engaging at all or not engaging anymore/less. ariana deleted her whole twitter years ago because arianators hate her and never fail to attack her about something. this is a weird time lol

  • @kadijahrenee
    @kadijahrenee 20 дней назад +10

    Ugh I remember the Pittbull comments and they disgusted me. I remember having to check a Black man who was in agreement with them. I said “so you dislike African features” he said “no, I just don’t like her nose” I said “Ari has an traditional African nose, broad with wide nostrils, what exactly is ugly or unattractive about that? 🤔 especially if you claim to love and prefer Black women, how are you saying you find their BLACK features unattractive?” Fuckin crickets after that. Smh some of us are so lost in the self hate that we can’t even comprehend that we’re projecting it onto others.

    Good for Ari for putting her mental health first. I will be supporting my girl!

    I agree with this. Social media became the standard and it got in the way of talent. Putting un-due pressure on wonderful people. I hope we can get back to a place where it’s just a fun accent again and not such source of negativity.

  • @esther589

    Im with it. All these social media personalities and over the top branding isnt doing what it used too and is starting to cause more harm than good.
    I use instagram a lot to find shows and events that i wouldn’t be able to find easily otherwise but on the flip side I ve been unfollowing a lot of celebrities. Most of my favs I ve unfollowed because like whats the point anymore. We get it you re rich, hot, promoting brands, and got it all going on whatever lol. I ve been shifting to trying to find people that are inspiring in a way thats obtainable as well. While i love seeing my artists journeys i d like to be inspired outside of music, becoming a celeb, going viral, influencing, and etc so i have to make space for that.

    when engaging on social media its dire to not let these trolls get to you, they would NEVER say anything online to your face thus whatever they say online is strictly fantasy and a figment of their imagination, this helped me with not letting random people manipulate my emotions.

    I’m actually a little worried for her career, Ari definitely had some type of boost in her career from someone behind the scenes, I remember seeing and hearing her everywhere at one point and the songs were good as hell, now, I can’t get through it tbh. She mentioned on J.Sullivan album that she was messing w some one in the industry and she was willing to risk it all? And that if we knew we d be shocked. Wonder how powerful that person was ? She’s been through a lot these past years, wonder why

Once the general audience feels removed they "claim" those artist couldnt handle "criticism" yes ppl dont want to be called stereotypical names all day lol.
