Hey Krish, thanks for all of the info and confidence boost!
Related to needing ML & DL to understand GenAI and its use cases better, I needed to brush up on the statistics and math to understand ML & DL algorithms. Following codebasics and your channel I could easily classify and cluster, but I regress... I didn't grasp the underlying concepts which were applicable beyond specific algorithms, and the steps were almost arbitrary. After some RUclips, For Dummies books, and talking to ChatGPT it's all coming together.
Anyways, just want to share a bit of my journey and wish you and all other aspirants the best!

To do a sentiment analysis or a make a classification model it used to require a lot of time in data preprocessing , annotations with traditional ML and deep learning algorithms , but with the help of generative AI this can be done with 2-3 lines of prompting and can be done withing a day or two. So definitely here Generative AI sounds more reasonable.

@@aritratalapatra8452 Although i have not worked on structured tabular data one possible way to use gen AI is to convert your tabular data to text data using csv loader from langchain framework, then you can do the prompting techniques for classification.

@@aritratalapatra8452 the same dataset which we use for sentiment analysis or whatever data , has to be converted into jsonl format and give it LLM for fine tuning. yes the data preprocessing is easy but prediction cost and time is comparatively higher compared to other transformer models like bert.

Like the one we have for Big-O-Notation. Or something which we very useful to just keep before interviews and also help us to know what comes after what algo and how effective is it for what purpose.

🎥 Machine learning and deep learning are still relevant in 2024 for generative AI and data science careers.
    #### Highlights
    - 🏢 Many big companies like Meta, Google, and OpenAI are using generative AI and working towards creating AGI.
    - 💼 Job interviews in the data science industry focus on basic machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
    - 🌐 Companies solving generative AI use cases are using both open-source models and traditional ML/DL techniques.
    - 🔒 Data privacy and security are major limitations in using generative AI models.
    - 🎨 Generative AI models have limitations in creativity and following specific patterns.
    - 💰 Traditional ML/DL techniques have become more efficient, scalable, and cost-effective.
    - 🚀 Learning ML and DL techniques is still valuable for future career opportunities in generative AI.
