Even the US DOT testing specification allows passing even if the impact to the rider would be fatal under their test method... Normal engineers would say "oh that's not good having like 270 G's to the head" but the US government is like, nah it's fine that motorcycles are 33.7x more fatal per mile in the US... Why would we ever suggest people use even SNELL standards?

Using broad, generic statements that do not apply to some countries because of limited income hence why riding motorbike and not driving car. The best insurance is bike, driver, experience, self preservation, and never be in a hurry, you only have to be wrong one time.

I use to imagine helmets were made in a non disclosed sterilized lab using laser beams shooting from a robotic arms. Now whenever I buy one of these I shall remember just how many foot went over it.

As a helmet lover myself, what they did is somehow decent (craftmanship wise) and bad at the same time. Handmade helmet doesn't always mean bad quality, but the materials themself are so questionable. Especially the shell, I dont think its material is strong and flexible enough to withstand an impact. The visor looks like a plain acrylic (which is usual for cheaper visor) but the sealing method is weird. They also just super glued the cheekpad, it can be loose at anytime. These helmet need to be inspected for real, decent craftmanship but questionable quality. Sorry for my english, I hope you can understand it.
Who cares? As long as you wear a helmet to abide by traffic rule is more than enough. Nothing to worry about risking life, if you ride your bike at 20 km per hour.

@@jimmatrix7244 these types of helmets won't protect you, you crash and land on your head these cheap helmets will break on impact. Not protecting anything.
A friend of mine died last year for wearing such cheap helmets after his bike crashed. It was not a big crash but his head hit a rock, the helmet broke and it shattered his skull and pierced a part of his brain. he was rushed to a hospital, his fratured skull was removed, after four days he passed away. It was a nightmare I just don't want to remember but can't even forget. A helmet is meant to protect you no matter how bad the accident. Stay away from such cheap helmets. If you can afford a motorcycle or a scooter, at least spare a few bucks for good and sturdy helmets.
I'm a Paramedic and if the impact was so severe that even with an inexpensive helmet he probably would have die anyway or have life threatening injuries.................................

For me, only in a few countries and towns I like this helmet, better than nothing, but I use one with DOT certified helmet, I see many people wearing a hat and sunglasses...

some helmets are expensive but not 100% safe since it was made through an automated machine and may have defects or flaws that were overlooked during the process... sometimes, these helmets we saw in the vid are more reliable than those processed helmets made by machines... I am not saying all are defectives made from that machine, but "sometimes" man-made things are better and durable... like man-made shoes, etc. at the end of the day, it still depends on us if we drive carefully and vigilantly.
I'm so glad my country has tough safety standards that helmets must pass before they can be sold here.

мое мнение что конкретно эти шлемы просто для удобства дальнейшей утилизации купившего такой продукт...так скажем и мыть меньше и содержимое компактно упаковано не разлетелось

А где наклейка ECE 22.05 :) Раньше думал какая разница какой шлем и купил за 200грн, но потом когда купил в Германии Caberg Duke II понял что она есть и она огромная. Этот шлем что на видео, тупо для того что бы муха в глаз не попала.
Всеровно немного спасает

These helmets are only bought for escaping traffic police 'no helmet challan/fine'. these are available for 150-250 rs and are sold on roadside with or without cardboard box sometimes. These helmets has no ISO and ISI standard certification and you won't get bill for buying these. Its just quick solution from Traffic police fine which is as high as up to 2000 rs and suspension of driving license or imprisonment for up to 3 months but hardly anyone goes to prison for this traffic offense. entry level standard helmets starts from 700 rs and good helmets starts from 1500-2500 rs and many standard brands Steelbird, Studds, Vega , Royal Enfield, SMK, AGV etc are bought buy sensible persons who value themselves more than money.

It's because they think it's common sense to know that by the time u get to devise means of making a helmet look beautiful u have already devised means of making a safe helmet by the way have heard of a victim of their products
Styrofoam is better than nothing plus this could be had for $17 (1400 Rs) per helmet…The average driving speed on streets in most Asians countries is about 15-25mph and mostly on moped scooters. Serious speed bikers buy better helmets anyway

Avoid cheap helmets.
Skill is there in plenty but what about proper materials, quality controls, testing etc.? Working sitting on the floor, cleanliness, dust control? If skill is there and people are gainfully employed then no need for automation.
Have u ever seen a small scale industry..? All workers are sitting on floor, they're more comfortable that way
I feel so safe with that plastic on my head. At least the graphics are cool and DOT approved
DOT rating will pass even with helmets imparting a lethal force to the riders head (it's like 270 G's or something) during the DOT specified test. Also DOT is just a guideline, the department of transportation does not have a helmet testing division nor do they test any helmets. It's self certify only by manufacturer (with nobody really even double checking them or independent testing, but then again even if it's lethal it still passes)
Don't buy DOT helmets, make sure to look for higher certified testing. This I understand is difficult, as only ONE, I repeat only ONE specific model of helmet at a motorcycle shop was approved any higher than just DOT and they had like a hundred helmets to choose from... People just don't care about safety it seems, or more worrying is they do but they are uninformed and trust the government to protect them (ha, yeah like that's going to happen, they will protect lobbyists before you)

Back in 1963 my family was returning from Spain to the US by boat out of Gibraltar, well I needed new dress shoes. My father picked up a pair of leather shoes that were made in Romania. They wore out pretty fast and when the sewing began to unravel there was cardboard between two really thin leather layers, it just seems that it would have been less trouble to use a single thicker layer of leather--maybe they were made by a Trabant subsidiary.

Wouldnt give one of these lids to my worst enemy. Poor materials, no testing. Its like the "Novelty" helmets sold here in the US to stupid people that just want a lid to keep the police happy. It amazes me that someone would spend thousands on a bike and pennies on protecting their own head. I will stay with my German Schuberth helmet. Quality materials and construction. Lots of testing to assure the most protection possible in a crash.
