Great job sir on getting the correct number....I was off by 2 and was hoping to get me a sweet hoodie....now I have to hope I can still work and buy one with the CV shutdowns but great job.
There are a handful of videos that the original artist insisted on playing the guitar (I remember 2-Money for Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies and Gump). Other than that-always the same gifted group!!
You nailed it right off the bat when you said “That’s so creative.” That is the thing about Weird Al; his lyrics are often more creative an interesting than the lyrics of the original song. This is a great example. I think this is why Weird Al is still relevant while many of the artists he has parodied are not.
I think song parody is, by definition, more creative than the original works. Mr Yankovic has to create a new and humorous narrative while staying in the musical lines, as it were.
Notice how Al almost NEVER repeats a rhyme. This song is a great example of that, as is "I Think I'm a Clone Now" (a parody of "I Think We're Alone Now"). 🙂
I've been a life-long fan of ol' Al. One of my musical heroes for sure. This has to be my favourite parody of his... I mean... the sheer BALLS on that man to put these lyrics to the tone of the original music.... it's the most darkly entertaining thing I've ever witnessed. Edit... I see your first reaction was exactly the same. Internet high five my bro.
Weird Al is 100% that best pure lyricist in the history of music. I defy anyone who doubts this to write even one good parody song, Al has written thousands of them over his career. I remember hearing him for the first time on the Dr Demento show, it was obvious he was about to become a legend. Al is also a wonderful person.
As you have gone back and watched these weird Al videos it's made me realize that with his parodies it allows music snobs of all sorts to appreciate popular music.
This was great. I have not seen this one by Weird Al before. This was very creative. Weird Al so underrated. He still looks great for his age and come up with the most clever lyrics, can sing and even play the accordion.
I loved your reaction to the visual puns in the animation...I'm your guy (in undercover drag), suit and tie (undercover fast food uniform). Other brilliant touches: the hair cut, swiping the drink of his target. Love this video.
When I first saw Weird Al's version, I was so out of the loop I didn't even know about the original. I assumed he copied the original's animation style. Then I discovered there weren't no animation in the original. Forget the genius lyrics, that animation style is amazing!
Weird Al is someone I never get tired of hearing his lates Parody. There's some serious genius lyrics and he can sing! And he can dance! And you, Jamal are so nice to look at. Your bright smile is genuine and your rhythm is tight. 😊
I'll be honest, reaction videos are not my thing. However, watching you view some of the funniest videos by Weird Al that i grew up on, with this innocent excitement for the first time is such a joyful experience. Good on you man.
Reminds me of "Trapped in the Drive-Thru" that you did a few days ago. Those cartoonists are great syncing to the music. I remember when Al was just another weird song writer featured on Dr Demento's radio show back in the 80's. Just him and his accordion. Just another 'novelty act' that no one would remember next year. Now, what a production!
John "Bermuda" Schwartz has been with him since they met recording "Another One Rides the Bus" AT the Dr. Demento Show ("W-w-wind up your radios dementos and dementiites")
Please do Weird Al's "I Lost On Jeopardy". The video has cameos from Art Fleming, Don Pardo, Dr. Demento, and Greg Kihn (the original song artist). Weird Al's version led to Jeopardy, which was off the air at the time, being re-booted!
Love that you are reacting to weird al man! Please though, do Albuquerque! You really need to check out his originals!!! That and Hardware store, he hits a pretty crazy flow in it.
Awesome video! Dude, you always put a smile on my face, and I assume on the faces of all who watch your videos. Thank you for keeping our spirits up during these crazy times! Can I make a request? "Sube a nacer conmigo hermano" by Los Jaivas (High bass, bass as in seabass). If you can find a live version even better. They are from my country, Chile. Much love!
Loving the Weird Al reactions. He (and his band) are supremely talented, the range of styles they perform is incredible. On top of that, their live shows are fun and funny as hell. (There are some vids of them performing live on RUclips if want to see a sample.) Anyhow, I thought I'd recommend a little something different. Deadpool doing parodies of Disney songs. Weird concept, right? These are MUST SEE videos. The first one is really good, but it's only a warm up for the 2nd. The sequel IS FIRE!! Deadpool the Musical - Disney Beauty & the Beast "Gaston" parody ruclips.net/video/ptKgRecPi1I/видео.html Deadpool the Musical 2 - the Ultimate Disney parody ruclips.net/video/XWvBuZCHnKU/видео.html
Al is an endless supplier of brilliant parodies. I'd love to see you react to Another Tattoo, his parody of Nothin' on You by B.o.B. featuring Bruno Mars.
Jamel, I'm not accustomed to doing this. Someone turned me on to these reaction videos and thus far, you are my favorite. I would love, love, love to see you react to two of my favorite Deep Purple songs but realize my chances are probably nil to none. However, I thought I would try just this once. When A Blind Man Cries and Soldier of Fortune. I am a Zep Head and Purpleo since I was 8 years old and I'm now well into my 50's. I can't believe I actually put that number out there on social media! I hope you and your loved ones are all fairing well in our health crisis! Love, Light and Peace!!
@@Socrates_1775 True, but you could probably make a case for that with a lot of his older songs. I would think any person of any generation would have to laugh at "he saw that Mr. Happy was missing". I really think that song has some of the best verses WA has done.
@@alspichareuruow106 I here ya man. The lyrics are hilarious but how many people remember the Singapore kid? Even people of that generation. I still love the song and video though 😁 👍
When I was editing the video I noticed I was saying it a lot normally someone would point it out, I just wanted to beat them to the punch and also have some fun with the subscribers🤷🏾♂️
Craigslist is Weird Al's tribute to Jim Morrison and the Doors. Like others it's funny, creative and excellent. Headline News is another great Weird Al work.
Also like how this is, in its own way, a fairly political song for Al. Key line for me is, "We only torture the folks we don't like, you're probably gonna be okay."
The producer of the video has done stuff like star wars and powerpuff girls and happy tree friends. You can see the artwork looks alot like powerpuff girls/ dexters lab/ samurai jack / star wars, I wonder if Genndy Tartakovsky was involved.
I am bit confused by Al, sometimes he makes fun of conspiracy theories, but here he uses pretty much the same style to describe how it works for real (with some understandable liberties, of course). Tapping the phones, waterboarding... and I guess even killing the wrong person are things that do (did) happen...
awesome video and I heard you say wow 8 times in this video 😊
Send me your info on Instagram in my DMs
Great job sir on getting the correct number....I was off by 2 and was hoping to get me a sweet hoodie....now I have to hope I can still work and buy one with the CV shutdowns but great job.
Tim McGaughan thanks for the comment 😊 when I get it I’ll be doing an unboxing video of it, can’t wait to get it 😊
I love this song more than Miley's. He nails it
@@fryloc0034 but you still won the grand prize....a first class one way ticket to ALLLLBUQUERQUE!
The Wierd Al band is very underrated. The same members have been with Al since the beginning and none of them bailed. Their musicianship is top notch.
I do believe his first drummer retired. But other than that same band.
and they can do damn near anything.. its crazy.
They are just as awesomely talented as Al. One of the best bands ever.
@@MST3Kfan1 the newest guy in the band is still nicknamed "the new guy" he joined in the 1990s.

Notice how Al almost NEVER repeats a rhyme. This song is a great example of that, as is "I Think I'm a Clone Now" (a parody of "I Think We're Alone Now"). 🙂
Yeah, I've always liked how Weird Al usually switches up the chorus on every verse. It makes his songs harder to memorize, but it's easily worth it.
Amish Paradise is a great example of that, and a lot of time his lyrics sort of expose how thin the writing is of the original songs.
I've been a life-long fan of ol' Al. One of my musical heroes for sure. This has to be my favourite parody of his... If you like Star Wars, Check out "The Saga Begins"! Its probably my favorite Weird Al song. "Yoda" is pretty good too!
Yes! How have these been forgotten?
Yes! I love that song.
yoda is better

"Ebay" & "Perform this way" by Weird Al next! LOL

"Whatever you Like" parody of T.I.s version is a must sir.

You've barely scratched the Weird Al surface, bro! There's so much more to discover. Just keep on watching.
You will never hear the original songs the same again after listening to Weird Al. You will forever hear his song when listening to theirs :)

I can’t imagine how he formulates these lyrics and the timing and the rhythm and captures the original song. 🎵 it’s unreal. Every. single. Time.
your weird al playlist is my happy place right now, i feel like i'm watching stuff with a friend instead of hiding indoors trying to not get sick LOL
Double meanings in his videos...Genius
Weird Al's Bedrock Anthem 🤘
Yes. Keep doing all of his stuff.
For more Weird Al I suggest "One More Minute", "You Don't Love Me Anymore", "Bob", "Dare to be Stupid", and "Angry White Boy Polka".
One More Minute is my fav "Weird Al" song!!
Bob is one of my personal favorites
Dare to be Stupid is arguably one of his best songs.
I hope you can watch Wierd Al's "Bob" soon. I know you'll like it!
Have you done "The Night Santa Went Crazy"? Or "You Don't Love Me Anymore"?
You don't love me anymore - best ballad and love song ever .. and the night santa went crazy .. I love both of them as hell
CHRISTMAS AT GROUND ZERO
What about don’t download this song

Thank you for these great videos. I have a suggestion, unless I missed that you have already done it. Another Weird Al video, "Another Tattoo".

You should listen to Al's Christmas songs like Christmas at ground zero and when Santa went crazy
This and foil floored me for this one it was the waterboard session for foil it was the aluminum hat just in general
You should, no, must do a reaction video to the song "You don't love me anymore" by Weird Al Yankovic ... one of his best ever...
This is one of my Favorite Parodies by him and that's saying a lot
Perform This Way is a MUST!

It really is!!!! Please do hardware store!
Please do! The last verse will have you picking your jaw up off the floor!
You still need to do some of Al's style parodies like Dare to be Stupid and CNR.
Do Jurassic Park, Sue YA!, and and the night Santa Claus went crazy.
the night santa claus went crazy is great
You should do a reaction to "the night Santa went crazy". awesome song

Check out the song and video for Headline News, That's gotta be his funniest song, and references a bunch of weird news events from the mid-late 90s.
No one is safe from Al which is why I love him chuckle on
This is my favorite Weird Al song❤️
