- For the third year, I bring you the lights and sirens parade that kicks off the Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show! Seemed like more fire trucks this year and less ambulances.

in my town our dare vehicle is an old Chevy Tahoe, like a '99 model with only a little amount of decals, you guys have a crazy ass Chevy Caprice, an in my town we use "08 Chevy impala's for our police cruisers, which i hate to look at since there Gray with blue writing.

Is that a federal signal PA-20A series 2B interceptor or a federal signal PA15?
Does it have hi-lo mode or not?

At 5:42 you can hear a Federal PA20A "E" model with the in-between tones coming from the cop car behind the old pontiac ambulance....the sound can be made by slowly turning the selector between yelp and hi-lo and it will make that "whooping" sound! Only the E models would do that.I have one and can get the same tone as well as other unique sounds that model is capable of... :) The other federal models won't do it-not that I'm aware of.
I Love that GE Powercall yelp you can clearly hear over the rest starting at 3:12 and then he passes by in the white chevy caprice at 3:30 switching from powercall yelp to wail...those old sirens had that unique yelp tone that was really loud and would carry for miles! Sounds much better than the toy sounding sirens of today and is why so many fire dept.s still use the powercall& Q because it has the ability to clear an intersection and move people out of the way better than hi-pitch sirens!!!
