Hi there and thanks for watching! According to our latest information, anglers fishing on foot don’t require a fishing license. However, regulations are subject to change year to year, so it's important to check the National Commission of Aquaculture and Fisheries (Comisión Nacional de Acuacultura y Pesca), or CONAPESCA for short, at gob.mx/conapesca. There's an option for english in the top righthand corner. Fishing on a boat requires a license, however, it'll be covered for you if you decide to hop on a charter.
