Great looking fence. How are you notching the posts so tight? I plan on building a Jack Fence on my property and trying to learn from the best design and yours is so well made.
Thanks! I get my jack posts from a guy I know that makes them. He has some special machine that he made to notch them. I've never got to see the machine though......top secret I guess. But I'll admit, they are the best jack posts I've ever used, and I've built jack fence for over 25 years off and on. I told him if he wants to retire I'll buy the machine, but being how he is not much older than me, my hopes are low on that....haha 😄

How do I make the fence terminate or turn 90 degrees?
Might be difficult to explain. Maybe I should make a video on that in future. I should be doing some more in a month or 2.

Yeah, it takes a bunch for sure. We buy them from various suppliers around the area. Sometimes you get a permit to get them off the mountain. 👍🙂

Only a nut job would build a fence like that. What a waste of firewood.
@robertbutler8004 is actually the exact opposite. If you turned good fence material into firewood, it would be a complete waste.
