Love how much you love westerns!! Mr Word, just like all of us! Thanks for being you and for all you do to keep these timeless never to be replaced WESTERNS available for us all. And hopefully a few generations behind us!!! Born in '68 been a western fan since I could turn a dial on a TV!!! God Bless you and all who love this genre!!
Thank you! I don't go to movies anymore. Watch western movies in the comfort of my home with popcorn and enjoy. I loved watching Western when I was much younger. I still enjoy them. I wish they would return to the theaters, but that will likely happen.
I just went to the theater to see HORIZON AN AMERICAN SAGA Part 1, the best western since OPEN RANGE. Hey, that Kevin Costner can sure make great westerns. Let's all of us who love traditional, shoot 'em up western epics, with great locations and strong characters and actors, all go out and support this new western. He made it for US with a lot of his own money. Saddle up and go the the movies. Thanks.
I love the story line four brothers were bandits but one brother and a sister were against them and didn't cooperate in anyway. At the end the good brother was happy to hand over his sister to the lawman she's in love with to start a new life. A good movie.
Before the storm knocked the tree on my roof knocking my antenna over I watched GRIT TV and the other over the air old movie channels. But Westerns on GRIT always stayed on. And I love it
Popcorn was flying for this one. Scott was superb & I had fun identifying all the OLD cowboy stars and heavies in this flick! Mala Powers was good to see too! Thanks, Rob!
A great movie and well worth watching again. I have always been surprised to see the electricity (not Telegraph) wires and poles in the background of several shots in this movie.
Thank you Rob Word. I'm still emotionally reeling from you not being at the "Autry" but I can't tell you enough how much it means to be privileged to enjoy your movie presentations. Westerns Rule, Rob Word Rocks?
Amazing how active and jumpy the sun was in this movie! @57:59 it was a little before noon, judging by the shadows; then, @58:21 it jumped back to 6 o'clock in the morning; then, at 58:30 it jumps forward to about 10am - more active than the sun in Hezekiah's day!
The next year (1956) saw the release of another film about the Reno brothers. It was going to be titled “The Reno Brothers” until a song sung by its young lead became a major hit and the film was retitled “Love Me Tender.” In his first film, Elvis Presley played Clint Reno.

They used a brick buildings city with electric lines. There are westerns with no real scenery. Bonanza is an example of indoor movie studio Ponderosa Ranch....lol 😂
Good 'B' oater from RKO, probably in the public domain, but has a great character actor cast... A few years later producer Nat Holt and writer Frank Gruber hit paydirt with TV's Tales of Wells Fargo. Randolph Scott as he grew older knew he wasn't that suited to keep playing leading parts with young actors like Marlon Brando, James Dean and Paul Newman coming along in the 1950's... so he stuck with the westerns, first a series of them with Warner bros., and then with Columbia. He had a profitable partnership with producer Harry Joe Brown.

What a bunch of yokels ! Haven't they heard of a blockade on the main street . With all the people involved in the ambush the gang gets away so easily . Not credible.
Absolutely a wonderful job thank you all for posting all these westerns, Randolph Scott one of my favorite Western Stars.

Randolph was born for the character, literally he lives in it.
Some great actors in this one! Thanks for all the great old Westerns, they have been my favorite since childhood.
Same here! Thanks
I agree Randolph Scott movies are wonderful. I have a goal to try to watch all of them ... again. ❤
Thank you for sharing them.
You are so welcome!
MR word I love westerns too! Because there’s no blasphemies or profanity! No vulgarities or sex scenes!

7:37 Am I mistaken, or are those utility lines running through the trees?
Seems like several people have spotted them.

I LIKE THIS GUY rANDOLPH BUT THE BEST FOR ME IS clint walker.
Comment se fait il qu 'après de nombreux coups échangés personne ne saigne ! Ah, la magie du cinéma !! 😅
Randolph Scott a joué de de nombreux westerns ç 'est vrai : la trahison du capitaine Porter etc, etc.
Tales of Wells Fargo needs to include tales of how they ripped off millions of people.
👍👏👏👏👏
Seems to be a parallel to today's politics.

Any body notice the overhead wires? 😂
Whoever wrote the script for this movie couldn't read a map--Indiana and Missouri don't border each other.
