No kidding! You ever just go to a record store and just look at album after album, and just feel like "Who the f--- are these guys??" haha, I do dig it though cuz you find some really good stuff in the most obscure forgotten albums and singles.

yeah for a long ass time i would just basically listen to the same shit over and over and rarely find new music but one day i just got tired of it and started listening to as much new shit as i could find. best decision ever honestly.
Imagine living in the 1920/30s when prerecorded music was just getting started as a business.
You'd go to the one record store in the entire city, there'd be like 5 big band albums, a handful of classical music recordings, and then the controversial jazz section with it's corrupting devil music.
But now we have thousands of commercially released projects, and even more privately created work to choose from at a moments notice.
i adore this, and i was born in '81.
both classic, and very nouveau at the same time.

After hearing just the 1st track, this sounds exactly like it’d be from 1983, within the whole “No Wave” scene coming about only a few years prior in the late 1970s. It was a backlash to both the commercial success of New Wave music, as well as the negative reactions to the Punk Rock sound that was arguably getting old and homogeneous sounding [at the time] with many of the same incessantly recycled chords.
