you just bypassing the power supply controller IC....not safe....I can see a bad LED at the center of the strips 8:31 and controller is doing its job to shutdown the 422v Dc to the leds by cutting the ground. Just replace that led and floating voltage will show up.
while you are correct. I have the same TV in my shop right now and I originally assumed without detailed diagnosis the tv had bad strips (which it had numerous bad leds) replaced all the strips and its still faulty - so this trick works regardless. I wouldnt say its "Not safe" Nothing is gonna hurt anyone, youll probablly prematurely wear out the tv again and that it. And side note - replacing that 1 burnt led will NOT solve the problem. I used to replace 1 led on repairs and sooner or later the tv is coming back. Im sure had we looked at those leds in person you can visually see some dimmer than others. Its like patching a muffler - a band aid fix but you ned to replace them all. Even though this power supply fix is a bandaid fix also, theres no other option. pay insane prices to repair or just add more ewaste?? Sadly more ewaste isnt a solution either and when you cant buy certain parts thats how it goes...
@@DJStKittz I usually step-up the output voltage in the power supply for the LED's to work with a low voltage. With this modification the LED bars will run much cooler and prolong the lifespan significantly.
I need my money back
I need my parts where are they

@@BATMEX44how do you step up the voltage of the power supply?
@@ES-iv6wb you can find a kit just google , usually two mosfets and two resistors
