HUGE Waimea Bay 2015-16 el niño surf with the Eddie Aikau | INSANE north shore winter!

The 2016 Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational contest capped off an incredible el niño winter on the north shore of Oahu. The giant swells kept on coming all season and the Bay regulars couldn't get enough. Waves at the Eddie topped 60', at the time it was the biggest size they had ever run the contest in. A season like that has not happened again yet, even in this 2023-24 el niño winter. The wait continues...
