- I, am only sharing this clip's footage for classicness sake .I DO NOT OWN the footage !
Hawks,cobraspt2 I'm sorry but these aren't available through me.I just have bits and pieces that I put together from v.h.s. tapes that is why the sound quality is poor also. When I recorded these it was in the mid to late 80's.
The classic L.A. open tillerman cab and 50ft open cab snorkels...what a treat. PLEASE TURN UP YOUR VOLUME DUE TO LOW SOUND.Thanks, fmartinjr from Delware. Развлечения
This was one of my favorite shows growing up! I was 10 years old when this came out! I should say that I LOVED Emergency!
This was one of my favorite shows when I was 11 years old in 1981. Emergency! was the first. I was Living in South Central Los Angeles then and watched the LAFD put out fires almost on a daily basis. I rode my bicycle to many of them to watch them work. I remember a firefighter telling me they were on a film shoot the day before for a TV show that was coming out that fall about the LAFD. It was Code Red probably. Well, it must have made an impression, I just celebrated my 24th Anniversary on the LAFD last month.
It gives me the chills to see this theme song again. I was 6 years old back then and have not seen this since then.
I used to love this show
You can always replace those types of things. But it's the lives that are more precious, to tell you the truth.
flack you know mad history thanks for sharing
You have a portion of "Our House" in this video. The episode is when the late Heather O'Rourke guest-starred as a visually impaired girl, and some oily rags caught fire. Thankfully, everybody got out and there were no injuries.
My grandpa recorded this for me when it was on TV but I recorded over them. I regret that. Wish I could find them again :'(
No,it's Code Red.I just put some extra credit(Bonus) assignment clips on my videos.
Those are called tractor-drawn aerials. Most of the major manufacturers (Pierce, Seagrave, ALF, etc.) offer this particular configuration.
yeah ,true that, but so classic. And there weren't too many fire shows in the 70-80's.So its good to see what use to be.
Hey Frank - thanks for sharing Code Red. Great memories.
Brings back memories, the acting was corny, but I like the old rigs and equipment showcased in the show. The rig for Pump 1 was a studio rig and the rest were real LAFD apparatus. The Firehouse used for the show was actually Fire Station 49 in Wilmington. Battalion 6, Engine 49, and boats 3&4 were assigned there. No Helicopter. All of our helos are assigned at Van Nuys Airport and Task Force 1 is in East Los Angeles.
Very well.
Just as it got interesting!
Now there's a piece of firefighting equipment you don't see anymore. The hook and ladder truck with the rear drivers. Those are RARE!
Those hook-and-ladder trucks, as they are called, are still widely used by many fire departments today, including Seattle, Philadelphia, FDNY, San Francisco and the LAFD!
i liked this show when i was a kid...but now...nice touch the producers did takin the center grill out of the Twinsonic on the Chiefs car LOL
I can remember watching "Code Red" when I was a bit younger and it was a pretty good show, but I have to admit I loved "Emergency!" a whole lot more. It may be out dated and older than a dinosaur, but it's a classic. I would however like to see this show come out on dvd. I definitely would buy it and I thought Adam Rich was so adorable back then. What went wrong, he just has been through so much I really feel sorry for him.
the dog was like alright free food!
@MsAutobodyman Yeah,these were the days.
accually
"When I recorded these it was in the mid to late 80's." this was more like early 80's
@dustystix76 Yes,bad Hollywood edit.Another one was the car riding around the city and almost every other re-shot of the car alternated from it having 2 different roof lightbars.
Danger Irwin Allen, Danger!
I know that the Snorkels are rare. I know the department I used to belong to sold a 1972 tower which they nicknamed Godzilla. We're talking classic!:) Keep in touch.
Bro, them snorkels
10-4 ,Will do.thanks for checking me out.
That sucks I was really getting into it and then it stopped
episode about the street gangs, "ill get you", adam rich, and the defective video game

Wilford Brimley! It's the right thing to do.
Interestingly, I taught the only female firefighter in our station how to cook.
part 1 of the street gangs episode
@t80tank20 Don't feel alone on that one.I actually had so much 80's stuff recoeded on VHS, but either lost the tapes, damaged the tapes,or recorded over good stuff.
*Everyone Leaves*
*Dog eats Toast*
flack my favorite also in 240 Roberts
part 1
@lesliendave ,brings back good memories everytime I look at it.
Things were so much different back then. All of the t.v. shows and movies.
Children acted alot different and better back in the 80's and 70's too because there was better t.v. networking and and whole lot of more interesting toys and games.
accually this is on DVD from a bootlegger...
A bad Emergency! clone.
Oh ok.
what episode was it where there was a fire in a power station
1:57 THE START OF THE STREET GANGS EPISODE can you upload the beginning? PART ONE OF THE EPISODE I REMEMBER SO WELL!!!
Yeah these old shows take you back to some t.v. times.
And yeah, everybody joins the the fire company nowadays.Me personally think it's for the tax credit, wanting to say"I'm a fire fighter",wanting power they see other real fire fighters have.My volunteer company in Delaware at one tiime had more firemen(members) than sets of gear! But we would only get 2 or 3 rigs on the street for a structrural box..? Weird? Nope! Here's the reason why: about 20 members were on the roster to play Co.softball.
Please add Los Angeles City Fire Department to the tags. Stay cool!
Did you get the PM I sent you?
Hey could you make me a DVD copy of this?
a firefighterwoman in the 80s??? you really can see its for tv!
this is the street gangs episode
too bad you dont have the beginning
KMG365
Not a bad series, but not as memorable as "Emergency". The last TV series of famed disaster film producer Irwin Allen.
Not rare at all, they are all over the country. 4 in this town alone.

Did anyone notice @ 4:39 when the garage doors open the Chief's car was a Ford LTD, & then @ 4:47 it leaves as a Pontiac Bonneville ? ... very bad editing, besides casting fucking Adam Rich !
