I grew up with all of them. Channel 5 holds a place in my heart. They don't make channels like that anymore. From 1972 to 1987, WNEW station was the one I watched religiously. Even after the transition to FOX, I still watched, good, but not as great as the WNEW days. Until I came to Florida, I still watched channel 5, I'm used to it.

I never went to DC, so I doubt it. But, I've seen WTTG clips some time ago with the silver "5" logo from that same period.
