This was Angelina's return to Norway and to the stage. She had not been on stage performing since AGT The Champions, nearly 3 years prior to this, then the pandemic hit. She and her family had moved to the Los Angeles area so no doubt Angelina was thrilled to be back in Norway and on a stage she was familiar with. This annual event, Allsang Pa Grensen, translates to Sing Along on the Border and attendees are given the lyrics to each song and encouraged to sing along with the numerous artists. Angelina had performed a few times at this concert, at ages 8, 10 and 11.

Hello. Awesome that you checked out this performance as well. I am one of those who have been saying that I prefer this live performance over her studio recording, as I simply think she performs it better. And that's just crazy when you consider the fact that this was her 2nd take in a row, due to heavy wind conditions in the 1st take. The producers pulled her from the small podium among the audience and closer to the main stage, and then she had to do it all over again. CRAZY power and stamina for a 16 year old girl. Angelina proved that she is absolutely fearless when she chooses to cover the past and current greats.
This is at the TV show "Allsang på grensen" (Sing-along at the border) in Halden, Norway, near the border to Sweden where Angelina sang two songs last summer, 16 years old. In the background you can see Fredriksten Fortress. I have been there a couple of times. Not for concerts but to see the fortress. In the woods, just behind the stage, on 30 november 1718 the Swedish king Karl XII was killed during the siege of the fortress (probably by a bullet shot from the fortress but there are also some theories that he was murdered by one of his own). This was the beginning of the decline of Sweden as a super power in the Baltic region.

For me the little wave she gave someone in the middle of a difficult song was everything AJ.
She performed this song twice back to back with 62 seconds between only. it was Angelina who asked to record it a 2nd time as she wasn't happy with the 1st take. The consummate professional. Rb
This is the second or third time in a row she sang this due to tech difficulties plus jet lag. She's doing a fantastic job.
Unbelievable that this recording is the second in a row, with a break of 2 minutes because of a technical problem. Someone once posted a smartphone recording on RUclips. It shows that she performed it twice.
There is a video out there somewhere of both recordings.

👣 In this great "come-back" performance by Angelina, she sure surpriced (at least me) by pulling this one from her hat, and in such a very very great and convinsing format. I was of course even more impressed when I was told in comments that she actually did it twice at this event.
She sure set fire to my heart and soul, as I had my ticket for her final consert in Norway last summer.
She did blew my mind at that consert, and she made me have to sit down, gasping for air, when she as her last encore did announceTHIS song, to end her 18 song consert. She even dedicated it to her beloved mor-mor (mother-mother) as she calls Mery. Told us how she missed her, as she could not follow her for this trip to Norway 👣
I still get chills by even thinking about that great evening, as we all was celebrating Angelina`s 16 1/2 year anniversary.
Angelina was declared a National Treasure when she performed on Norway's Got Talent. All her performances there went viral. She is a treasure to us All!

Big Angie Fan (RUclips Channel) who attended the concert said that this was her second stab at the song on stage. Apparently at about a minute into the song she had to stop due to technical difficulties. So, after waiting for the problem to be resolved she started anew. Talk about composure. She really is a Superstar. Love her and your reactions as well.

I LOVE Angelina Jordan Mondays!! This is probably my favorite version of her cover of this song. Just because it's so real, the audience reactions, the wind bothering her hair, the band not always quite timed with her, and through real conditions, Angelina handles herself like the pro she is. She puts so much feeling into this song that it comes alive for me in a way it never had. She Angelina-ized it!

Two things: Angelina had already sung this once, but TV crews were there taping and something went wrong, so a few minutes later she had to sing it again. This was the second take. Also, she sang this in Whitney’s key, but when she sang it in the studio version later, she took it down to her range. Hope you saw that one as well. Perfection! Have you ever said who it is you talk to in your studio? For us, it’s a bodyless voice!

Never mind, she just stretched the next note a little, and by the end of the bar was exactly where she was supposed to be. The hallmark of a good musician! There was probably no one in the live audience who noticed, and very few reactors do.

After she won NGT she felt like a princess because her dream had come true. That brought her a lot of success but she was still waiting for that big moment in America. It wasn't just big it was huge. But then her dreams were put on hold again, constrained by covid. All that time, honing her skills and learning life's lessons, she grew into the seasoned young artist that we see on the stage in this performance. Even so she was still restricted by school to studio or at home recordings until she graduated from high school. Now she is free to soar to the heights she was destined to reach, and lucky for us, we were able to witness the entire glorious journey. Next step, Superstardom!

A few things. This is first song we have of her recorded at 1 and a half. Second this song has special meaning as it is dedicated to Grandma Mery. Third due to technical issues this recording is the second time in a row she sang this with only minutes apart from the first. Don't cover Whitney but certainly don't sing this one twice in a row!

I only heard/saw one slipup by Angelina. Fairly early in the song, Angelina did not take in enough air and ran out of air, then had to do a quick recovery. Very surprising to see that. But, who cares. Really, who cares. Not me!!

The starfort she's singing on, as shown in opening aerial, can't contain her talent😊 Luckily, all of Norway is basically one giant star layered one on top of the other. I don't know who built them nor the canals, but it's good energy. And no, it wasn't built by French, Spanish, Norwegian or other plebs with horse, cart and a stringline. Each layer is about 40-60' high and hundreds of millions of cubic ft. I mean, get serious "his-story-ans"😂😂😂
