Randomly stumbled upon your video looking for inspo for my '61 forester. Was jumping around and had an ah-ha moment @11:05 when you talked about the leaks and rot. I pulled mine apart this morning and found rot in the back of the cabinets. I got ontop of it and the roof is warped a bit right above it. I posted in a FB group and they're saying I have to replace the roof trusses. Thats way above my pay grade. Any advice? Thanks in advance
Hey man I came across your video while doing some research. I am looking at purchasing a 1960 astrodome as a project and there is one available near me but the guy wants 5800cad for it (I am in Canada). It is very rough a lot of pieces including some windows missing. I was just wondering if this is a good price and if it is high what would be a good number to negotiate to? I just don’t know what the trailers go for fully restored or what the typical prices go for a project one. I can send you some pics just let me know how to get a hold of you. Thanks.
Strangely yes! Airflyte was the standard trailer, airflyte SC (I believe) was the standard model with toilet, astroflyte was the Cabover with no toilet, and astrodome was cabover with toilet!
I bought mine for $2,500 about 10 years ago it has all the parts but needs restoring. Restored it’s worth 12k in my opinion
