i'd like to point out to anybody watching this, especially professional face painters, that when painting childrens mouths [unless obviously you're just doing one kid like she is] to PLEASE use a q tip to paint the lips. they are disposable. you wouldn't want a brush that touched another kids mouth on your kids mouths. =] great job with the vid.
Ada Chojnacka I'm aware. Like i said - if you're painting JUST the one child that's fine but if youre painting multiple in one time frame like in a birthday party or a pay per face gig are you going to sterilize your brush between every child? That would take a long time. Just pointing this out. It's fine in her case because she's just using it on her.
Is the rest of the face any cleaner? I mean, mouth is not the only problem when you're painting a lot of people at once. Maybe you can use disinfectant to clean the brushes, but what do you do with sponges?
Yes hat is true- HOWEVER- I don't like the lack of control of a q tip... so I wash after EACH lip application the brush I used in a sterile wash. great point though!
I appericate the fact you are using approved face paint unlike these at festivals here that use walmart craft paint. Its always best to use kid safe products!
Definitely.... the more still the model - the better. AS for buying paints... there are so many places on line you need to pick a place you like. Make sure they are Cosmetic grade and if the shop is local to you--- ask if you can try the make up...
Cute video - adorable model! You do a nice job with your steps and the captioned hints, thanks! As for the comments here, I have found Wolfe and Diamond FX the best for white and black -they are full, rich colors; for cakes, I love TAG and Diamond FX. Thanks for your videos!
@pixiecrossing i agree, specially with younger kiddies, they'll lick their bottom lip and constantly have a mouth full of glitter, which isn't pleasant for the kids at all
I'm not sure where she buys hers but Mehron is a classic, common, staple of the body painting industry. order it from on line. great quality stuff..body painters...face painting...drag queens and make up artists all us it.
@JoeDeeaz actually theres not enough black stripes, but theyre too thick ... plus the colours are completely wrong... considering tigers have 'orange' noses and foreheads + cheeks... but white around the eyes, mouth and sides of their head under their ears.. NO YELLOW >.> plus there should be a black line around the eyes completely :( not top only... though I gotta agree the way she did it is probably more fit for a facepaint :) ..... Tigers are my fav animals xD
@fishymonstur Thank you for your thoughts..... There is always MANY ways of doing designs.... Realistic and more fantasy! it is fun to use both sides of the brain! Have fun with your version. Thanks for watching
Hello all- thank you for posting.... AS to where to get paints... there are so many places on the internet.... One great idea is to get WHITE of different companies and see how it works.... it doesn't matter which brand of make up you use... but that you can work with it. mehron, wolfe, krylon, diamond fx, sanzaroo, tag.....
Myrna Ibrahim It's most likely kid safe paints, A.k.a Non toxic, so if you lick your lips or drink/eat a little it isn't going to hurt. Most face paint artists who work on kids use these paints for reasons like this. Its like giving a kid non-toxic paint, If they put some in their mouth its not good but its not going to KILL them or make them sick. Besides, there isn't much on the lips to begin with because its such a small area. I know this is a late reply though!
Yes- I understand the concern... there are levels consideration.. though face paint- true face paint is just like lipstick.... same make up ingredients
My friend saw this and had her brother try it on her when they a large brush he was being stupid and got a big brush that you would use for painting a room :/
I need your help. I am twelve years old, and people are requesting that I use my artistic skills to face paint at not one, but *two* parties this weekend. I have can do animals, sure, but Spiderman and Superman and all of the other heroes that the little boys will probably ask for... I'm lost on those. If you have any tips, please share them!
Anti Septiceye hello....prsctice and breakdowns....if you can take professional classes that is best...otherwise .. search for tutorials and practice practice. You will get it...best if luck
PLEASE remember- Glitter for face painting MUST be COSMETIC GRADE. If put near the eyes or on the mouth- which looks beautiful... it is harmless because of the way it is cut. and NO I would not suggest glitter on the mouth under 5 years old. We have lived for a long time with children eating sand and dirt..... proper glitter is shinny sand. DO NOT USE CRAFT GLITTER.- Thank you
I went to a birthday for little kids and this clown face painted me face into a butterfly and it was terrible :( it didn't even look like a butterfly!!
In this video I was using Paradise paints. thanks for asking! I am starting to put out my own videos... if you are interested go to freefaceart and sign in....
Thanks-- my daughter was sooooo happy, and we got lots of compliments. Not bad at all for a first-timer.
this si thee best example i seen , because ive been think that face painters are using powder to blend thee colors and also great job
Water based or oil based ?
That is one of the best tigers I've seen for kids, it's quite simple but effective :) i Love your work

I believe it isn’t Good to apply face piant on the lips seeing as how you may swallow a bit when drinking or eating.
