what you just ate is HUMBA, Cebu's version of Adobo, which I LOVE!!!!! and the chorizo, CEBU is EXTREMELY FAMOUS for that!!! :) for your knowledge, they call it TOSILOG because of the 3 dishes combined, TOCINO, SInangag (fried rice. pronounced as SEA-NUH-NGÄG), and ITLOG (egg).. TOSILOG - TOCIno, Sinangag, and itLOG, LONGSILOG - LONGganisa sausage, Sinangag, and itLOG, CORNSILOG - CORNed beef, Sinangag, and itLOG, TAPSILOG - beef TAPA, Sinangag, and itLOG.. :) and many more! ^_^ you couldn't have chosen a way better breakfast than that!!! ^_^
and that small eatery that you come across everywhere, it's called CARINDERIA, pronounced as KÄH-RÏN-DER-YÄH.. if you haven't noticed, in Filipino, we don't have "long A's".. We only have "dotted A's".. :) I hope that helps when you read Filipino words.. :)
Glad you enjoy the swim with the whale shark! My favorite -log is bangsilog. Dried and fried boneless bangus (milkfish) paired with Mang Tomas. And filipino breakfast is actually just the ulam the night before, rice and an egg. That's why Jollibee has a breakfast item that's chicken, rice and egg. :)
It's funny how most of the marine life in the Philippines are just as friendly as the people. The whale sharks obviously stick to their plankton diet, the reef sharks tend to mind their own businesses, the banded sea snakes although regarded as highly venomous tend to shy away from humans... The sea turtles treat people like backdrops, even the jellyfish found near the shore are not super toxic like the ones you find in Australia. Just make sure to steer clear of sea urchins and avoid stepping on the ocean bottom as there may be lionfish just hanging about plus we have to preserve the corals. Great vlog as usual! Looked like a whole lot of fun! You gotta go and explore the food market. Check out subgo mercado in IT park. Spoilt for choice.
Lionfish are not sedentary. Maybe you mean the frogfish. The frogfish are the ones who camouflage themselves against their background as they stay motionless in the bottom or among the corals which can be very dangerous when stepped on as their fins are highly venomous.
That’s what is awesome about the Philippines! ❤️❤️Swimming with scary sea creatures is not my thing 😂 I don’t know how I would feel in Australia lol!! we aren’t done exploring yet. That market might have to wait until next time sadly! It looks amazing though. 🤗
Honestly, you are the most genuine vloggers I’ve ever seen here, you interact with people, so down to earth and most importantly I can see you’re unpretentious 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Wow. What an experience you had in Oslob. Never seen foreign vloggers eating beside national road, who’s so enticing and at the same time amazed with Filipino Breakfast! ❤️
It was such an amazing experience indeed. Finding cute places like that and being able to enjoy and even discover new love for more Filipino foods is so the best. 🥰
Tosilog means tocino + sinangag (it has to be garlic fried rice) + itlog (egg) Chorizo de Cebu is a type of pork sausage that originated from Cebu. It's red in color because of anato seeds Humba is not be confuse with adobo. Humba is a specific dish usually restricted to pork belly, while adobo is a cooking process that can be used to cook a variety of ingredients from meat to vegetables. In the central and southern islands of the Philippines, both humba and adobo exist and are not confused with each other.
Ahh okay that totally makes sense :) thank you!! Usually we are always served plain rice for the Filipino breakfasts (we eat them all the time) so that is strange hehe. But yes I watched it back and realized she said humba. It was so delicious 😍
That was fun! Glad you've had a moment with the friendliest whales. Thank you for continuously liking our local food. Since you're out from YT for the past few days, I thought you already left the country. Keep enjoying my Canadian friends. ❤️👍
Do what's local do, eat like locals, live like locals.. thats the secret for a sweet adventure.. not so typical vloggers.. i like you guys since you arrived here..

I've been watching your vlogs for a couple of weeks now, You two are a perfect match Shelbs is the perky, talkative and Lively while Chase is the soft spoken and conservative when he describes something. Nice to see you touring around here in Cebu. New subscriber here from Cebu City :)
I skipped that when I went to Cebu. That tour is always packed and yes, it's only 30 mins short. In Cebu, they call Adobo as Humba and their version is much sweeter.
We would probably pass it if we ever went again too! Very crowed but seeing the whale sharks was pretty cool! The humba is a favourite of ours over the abode we think. So yummy 🤩
I think the lady said it was humba not adobo. It's cooked sweeter than Adobo. You gotta try green mangoes that are still unripe. It's sour. Also try ripe ones; they're yellow inside and outside.
Another video worth to watch. ❤️❤️ Those whale sharks are a true beauty. Watching you guys eating at a carenderia is making us even prouder, too. Carenderias are usually way cheaper than restaurants. Eating there would help you save money and help the people as well. More exciting videos please.😁😄😊

Oh holy moly. You guys finally did visiting my hometown of Oslob, Cebu, Philippines. Oslob is one of a very friendly, loving, kind and safe place ever here in Cebu. Welcome again to the beautiful islands of the Philippines and enjoy your stay in my beloved country. I done supporting your channel and watching from Gawi, Oslob, Cebu. Mabuhay po kayo!
Aw yes we did!! We love oslob and it was so much fun. The locals were lovely and chatted with us often :) we will stay for awhile longer ❤️ lots of love!!
Great experience eating Filipimo breakfast. Carenderia is a local eatery in Philippines mostly available everywhere . Filipinos love your vlog because of pusong pinoy (heart of a true Filipino). Good job👍👍👍👍👍❤
I love the energy, enthusiasm and positive vibes I’m getting from your vlogs. Keep it up, guys and enjoy the awesome Philippines! Filipinos are such friendly and kind folks, like seriously.
OMG!!!! That water!!! Sooo blue and crystal clear!!! Its almost a paradise!!!!!!! You were sooo lucky and blessed to experienced that amazing moment!!!
Isn't great that even the older ladies can speak English to you guys? And they are so sweet! Even a short conversation with them seems a lot easier for foreigners to enjoy our islands. Enjoy and God bless!
I'm not sure if someone actually told you or if you just figured it out by yourselves, but there's a simple subtlety that you guys do that is often not done by foreigners when they visit the Philippines. It's how to eat Filipino food. Using the spoon instead of fork as it it's more practical and efficient in loading them. As well, eating the main dish and rice in one scoop. IOW savoring them together in your mouth. Filipino main dishes, being strong flavored, are designed to be complimented with the more subdued starchy flavor of rice resulting in a different gastronomic experience altogether. As always, a great and super-fun-to-watch video!
Aw that is so nice of you to say!! We really like to pride ourselves on trying to understand the culture and do and try as many Filipino foods we can. Rice 100% makes the fish, it’s so delicious haha. Especially when your eating something that is salty. The rice balances it out perfectly :) we really appreciate that tons and are glad you are enjoying the vids!! 🥰
In Cebu, ocean denizens are top attractions with less expenses, less travel time and 100% chances of seeing them. In Cebu, you can swim with whale sharks, thresher sharks, schools of sardines, sea turtles and watch bigger pods of dolphins. You don't need to cross to other islands just to enjoy them. They're all here around Cebu at cheaper way and much better way with more chances of spotting or swimming with them at less travel time.
Try Boracay Island it's the most popular beach in the Philippines, rated as the number 1 leisure island in the world according to a magazine!! .. I'm from here too.
I just love your vibes. Both of you are amazing both of you are not boring and who communicate with the locals and that's why I like both of you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Stay safe ALWAYS...
Yes, they communicate with the locals and that should be the case for RUclipsrs because some are only in their own world like total strangers exploring by themselves. Travel is more enjoyable and fun when you include interaction with the locals.
Dear Chase and Shelbs Please please please DON'T MISS THE FALLS DON'T SKIP IT Cebu is the land of waterfalls and there are several that you can go to while in the area of Oslob. Some of the falls that I've been to are Aguinid falls, Inambakan falls, Cancalanog falls and there's more. There are hot springs too. You'll love it. You can check out google or other vlogs for reference. You can also go to tour companies that can cluster those places for you in one day. If on a budget, ask your hotel if they can recommend a manong/kuya/local with habal-habal/motorbike that you can hire for a day to take you around
Happy lovely couple hi, i enjoy watching your vlog. Your nice and friendly both always interact with the locals. Were also happy to welcome foriegners like you bring good vibes to everyone here. Stay safe and take good care both.
Oh wow all my favorite food in one video😱😱😱 That’s definitely a good one. Enjoy your stay in Cebu and would love to do the adventures you have done someday. Continue to love and explore our beloved 🇵🇭
Those sugary cured meats are perfect with a side of spicy vinegar dip to balance out the sweetness of the meat. You guys should try the salty, crispy dried fish for breakfast with some garlic fried rice (sinangag). I enjoy watching you guys all the way from Calgary, Canada.
We will have to try that next time! We always dip sweet bbq in spicy vinegar so I can imagine that would be delicious 😍 hello to Calgary!! We are prince George! Practically neighbours 🥰

Aw thanks Angelo! We love chatting and communicating with the locals. It’s so fun and easy since most of them speak English 😍🙏🏼 stay safe too!
Thanks Le! We appreciate that so much! It’s way funner indeed 🤩

Dear Chase and Shelbs
Please please please
DON'T MISS THE FALLS
DON'T SKIP IT
Cebu is the land of waterfalls and there are several that you can go to while in the area of Oslob.
Aw thank you! Sadly we had limited time and had to get work done so we missed any falls. But there is aways next time. We will come back 😍
@@ChaseandShelbs ok we'll wait for you to come back 🥰

Those sugary cured meats are perfect with a side of spicy vinegar dip to balance out the sweetness of the meat. You guys should try the salty, crispy dried fish for breakfast with some garlic fried rice (sinangag). I enjoy watching you guys all the way from Calgary, Canada.
We will have to try that next time! We always dip sweet bbq in spicy vinegar so I can imagine that would be delicious 😍 hello to Calgary!! We are prince George! Practically neighbours 🥰
Cebu is well known for its delicious, crunchiest Lechon... yummy 😋😋 I thought you guys tried it already.
