Hi Connie from what I understand it's to temper them - the oil helps the butter from burning (diff smoking temps). I have also noticed that the combination adds a richness to the flavour while also bringing down the amount of saturated fat used - hope this helps answer your q 🤗💕🙏
I am Italian and this Is a classical recipe for cooking mushrooms. "Trouffle mushrooms" is the letteral translation for Italian "funghi trifolati" where trifola Is a local version for trouffle. So we make trouffle sliced in Extra Virgin olive oil, garlic and parsley, all cooked at high heat, with some butter and cream at the end.
She said truffles mushrooms, which is the way she cooked the mushrooms, not that she put truffles in it. Truffles mushrooms means "funghi trifolati", sliced and cooked in the pan with olive oil, butter and parsley.
I get what you are saying but I wouldn't say 20 years younger cause she is young and always looked young, but she definiely looks younger with this makeup.

We use Extra Virgin olive oil as the base of any souce as we have a mediterranean diet. We add butter to give an extra good flavour to mushrooms.
