Hey friends!! Hope you enjoy this van build. Quick feature i failed to mention. The aluminum L track in the walls and ceiling will be for a removable upper cabinet! Pretty sweet.
Comment your thoughts on this van build :)
Something to consider with an evaporative AC is that it will depend greatly on the humidity. Since the air is dry there especially in the winter, it will be very effective. However, during the summer in a location where it's humid the effectiveness will likely drop considerably.
Good to know. Thanks Jim. He lives in Reno and doesn’t travel south much!
Good to see you back, Colton. I have a 148" Transit HR, AWD, on order, so I've been paying attention to your build. I like your style. I'll be using a lot of your ideas. Thank you.
Very nice!!! Congrats :)
That fridge integration is pretty clean
Yeeeeeah buddy
Another great van. The more I watch, the more I learn. You come up with so many great designs, it is making it hard for me to choose how I want my van configuration. Thanks for all your hard work on the vans.
Great to see your latest build!!
Right! This one is sick
Great van build. Awesome job. Looks easy to clean. Thanks Don
Thanks Don :)
Hey Colton nice build ! I can’t tell if those are the flarespace trim rings or a custom frame out… Man if you could do a video on a solid custom frame out instead of the trim rings that would be awesome !
Ah I should have!! On the next transit I do I will. I framed it out myself. I basically squared out the flarespace area vertically and horizontally with 3/4 ply. And attached 1/4” upholstered panels to it
Where I live in the desert of SoCal or in Arizonia where it's extremely low humidity that Fresaire swamp cooler will work great--it mid to high humidity areas of the country they are marginal to useless--it's a regional thing for sure
Absolutely. That fresair would be perfect!
Simple and minimal build.
Nice build. Looking forward to the next one
Thanks :)
love the clean, simplicity
Glad you like it!
Regarding the fresair, I put one in my van last year. I live on the east coast and it is not good enough to keep the van cool with our humidity levels because of the water cooling system. Maybe it's better in dry climates I haven't tried it yet out west in summer. Next time I would get the dometic 12v ac unit.
Interesting… humidity is brutal
I love everything about this van
Same!!
WooOOo new Colton from Ankeney builds video! MoooaaaAAar!!! Also thank you
Hahahaha thanks 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Love the build.
Thanks Mark :)
Some great ideas in this one!
Thanks Collins!
im gonna make mine like this
Best van yet!
Yeah buddy!!
Thanks
Welcome
great work
Thanks!
Great job
Thanks:)
I wish you were in spain I would be one of your customers
If only!
Question on the Goal Zero - do you have to turn the AC110V on/off at the unit to save the battery? Looking at the Goal Zero and other similar brands out there, it seems like they need to add the ability for a wired remote to do this from a countertop / wall panel.
It’s best to have it off. And when you go to use it, just push the button. I agree a remote would be super handy!
Congrats! Really enjoy your tutorials and walking through it all! Thank you!
I’m converting a 2020 high roof transit now for all season. Curious, what did you choose for insulation for floors, walls, and ceiling and reason behind it?
Has the client come across any challenges with the all in one power kit?
I used 3m Thinsulate on the walls and celling, I did not insulate floors to maximize head room. also most people just put rugs on the floor for insulation !
Love your videos - one comment though - I constantly need to adjust my volume - music transitions are super loud compared to your voice volume - like the music just not so loud in comparison!
Ah thanks for the heads up. It’s hard to get it just right
I handnt thought of putting the seating area next to the door as everyone puts the kitchen next to the door. I do like it though hmm
I’m obsessed with this layout!
@@AnkeneyVanBuilds honestly I will probably use the swivel chairs most because of arm rests and back support.. But how difficult do you think it would be to create arm rest back support that you can put up when wanting to sit looking out the door? Facing out the door, as opposed to leaning on the inside that you build, up against the bed.. Get what I mean?
@@Tracor3k99 kinda.... interesting idea. Maybe mount some vertical drawer slides on the back side of it
Great build! I noticed you used a different brand and single burner induction cooktop on this build, any particular reason why?
It had good reviews and the customer only wanted a single burner! I think it’s awesome!
Will the swivel seat on the drivers side turn 180 degrees without the back hitting the steering wheel. Can you sit in a comfortable position without it hitting the steering wheel turned 180 degrees. TIA....James
You can sit with it at a 90°. Otherwise your legs would be hitting the cabinets. But you can kick you feet up on the passenger side and it is super comfy
Just wondering if it would before the cabinet was installed....James
@@jwal1037 oh. Yes it does soon 180°!
Do you happen to have a link for the Shark bite that was used for the Aquataner under the sink? I'm using a brass one that we hate, so I really like the style your using.
Awesome build! My dream van build here.

Here you go Homie! good luck!
Hello from Poky! I don't see the link to the portable water tank for the shower. Do you have it? Would like to incorporate something similar!
Hello!!! amzn.to/3LPmlwr
heres the link!!
Great looking van and great choice of location to film van. Did you install those bump outs or was van purchased with them? Do you by chance know height of van with rack and all?
I installed the windows on the driver side and slider door. The flarespace was installed before he dropped it off! And the overall height is just shy of 10ft
Any chance you can add a link to the A/C unit you used. Thanks so much!

Ooo I like the low profile on the s6
@@Tracor3k99 it’s so sick !
Fantastic look! How did you secure the L-Track on the ceiling? Congrats on another build.
With riv nuts on all the supports!
@@AnkeneyVanBuilds thanks! Sent an email: look for "boise contact"
How much water does the.. Freezair? Hold? How long can you use it for before refilling?
It holds I think 3 gallons. Super easy to refil. I don’t know how long it’ll run before needing too. I didn’t run it much since it’s so cold in Boise right now haha
@@AnkeneyVanBuilds aww cmon take one for the team, sit in the snow with the ac going lol I kid! I shall google and see what it says and come back! That way you can tell others when if they ask. You help us out its the least I can do
@@Tracor3k99 hahaha exactly. you’re the man!
Ok! Best answer i could find is! It depends but it should go for a few days before needing to be refilled..
I wonder if you can connect it to a bigger tank to last longer
@@Tracor3k99 nice. That’s not too bad
How is the air conditioner powered? No way the solar panels can power that for too long..
How much do you charge to build similar one for a Mercedes sprinter ? And how to contact you ?
You can email me at ankeneyvanbuilds@gmail.com
...but WERE IS THE TOILET? The shower?
What size is the mattress?
What are the dimensions {length X width} of the kitchen top?
20” wide and if I remember correctly it was 36” long
GoalZero says not to use the 12V MAX CURRENT CABLE with Yeti X series power stations, have you had any issues?
None at all!
What did you attach the skorza bed frame to?
A 2x6 that’s attached to the metal frame. Check out the framing video
Won't the bottom of the bed become moldy with all the potential moisture from the stuff underneath it? (Snow gear, etc)
The beds on slats and has plenty of room for air circulation!
Do you have a link for the L track for the ability to add removable upper cabinets?

How tall is this van?
How long is the bed in inches?
The bed itself is 75 but the bed area is 81”
Full or queen size bed?
